Yes, you can. Both countries use the same electric voltage (220/230 V). But the outlet shape is different. You need an adaptor, you can purchase it at the airport. | how long....

You can use it at New Zealand, but NOT in Canada, even with adaptor. Because the voltage is different. Converter is not recommended for any straightener. | DOES IT WORK LONGER THAN YEAR?
Does Sedu gives the same good performance after one year? Even if you use it pretty much everyday during your first year of purchase. If somone can tell me about their expereinces I would REALLY appreciate it.Thank You Question posted by Rujuta Fri Jan 13 2006 Submit your answer | Reply by Mitchie

Yes! I've been using my flat iron for three years now. I just bought a 1" one recently as an extra and when I travel. | travel adapter for UK flat iron
I am moving to the UK for school and I would like to buy a flat iron. My hairdresser recommended that I buy a really good one and it looks as though the Sedu ones are really great. She also mentioned that I should buy one with a UK voltage because the North American ones do not heat up enough when using an adapter. Thankfully, Sedu has a UK version, however, will I be able to buy an adapter to use my UK iron in Canada? Thank you in advance! You must order the one with the UK voltage 220 as recommended however when you get to the UK you can bye a converter for Canada however it is not recommended but from personal idvice straighten your hair while in UK but give it a break sometimes as if you use your straightner constantly it can cause breakage! | | Reply by MSGTSTEF

I definitely do not recommend using the US (110v) in the UK even with an adaptor/converter.. I am stationed in the UK and used my CHI straighteners (which I ADORE!) and I singed my hair. I am also looking into buying new ones and was litereally about to buy the GHD brand but they run 120 GBP(Great Britain Pound)/($240) with the exchange rate right now (at $2.11 to the GBP). I have looked at reviews and this seems like a GREAT deal for the money!!! |
