I just had my japanese hair straight process done. I want to purchase a product to tame some of the frizzies from previous highlights in my hair. My hair dresser did not advise me that japanese hair process can cause breakage to the highlights. Now I have these unruly ends from the breakage of the highlights. Can I use Sedu to get rid of the frizzes from the so-believed-in process named Japanese Hair Straightening. Question posted by Sam Sun Nov 06 2005 Submit your answer | Reply by ann

yes, you can use the sedu, but if you arent able to, you may use a type of oil like frizz-ease to tame the frizzes. | | Reply by Michelle

First of all DO NOT ever go back to that hairdresser again if at all possible, that person obviously has very little idea of what he/she is doing (at least when it comes to Japanese Hair Straightening). Since you have mentioned having breakage you should try to refrain from doing anymore damage to hair. Get lots and lots of quality deep conditioner, you are going to need it! I recommend using the Redken Extreme line to help mend your broken hair, and to keep more from breaking off. | straighten with wet hair?
i was wondering if anyone knows if I can straighten my hair with this iron when I come out of the shower with wet hair Question posted by Shoshana Sun Nov 06 2005 Submit your answer | Reply by Katie

NEVER EVER straighten your hair, even when it's just slightly wet with ANY straightener. It will fry it like crazy. | | Reply by Andrea

Do NOT straighten your hair while it is wet, especially when you come right out of the shower. You will not get very good results, and it will cause severe imediate and long-term damage to your hair. I suggest first blow-drying it straight or just blow-drying it out. | Will It Fry?
I read about the sedu and i thought it was awesome!(i'm going to get it) but i'm wondering if it will fry my ends. My ends are fryed and they are getting real better and i dont want to mess them up again. So my question is WILL THE SEDU FRY MY HAIR? Yes, all streighters fry, but, this one seems to fry less, and create less frizz. | | Reply by aly

Like the people before me answered, the answer is Yes, it will fry your hair because its heated. But, it does fry it less and if you use a heat protection spray it will work even better. | | Reply by Michelle

Try cutting off your damaged ends, and used heat protection spray to keep them from getting damaged again. | For Men??
Hi I am a male and basically of South Asian oigin (Pakistani). I have thick, black, curly hair and i was wondering if the Sedu will work for me, i am extremely interested in buying it but cant get too many reviews from men even though folica has listed the sedu under mens hair straighteners. I cud get one review, the guy had hair quite similiar to mine but he has mentioned using a hell lot of products, will i need to do that too? I straighten my husband's coarse, black, wavy hair with my hair straightener. It works wonderfully. For short hair, you will want to use a flatiron with narrow plates (1-inch). Also, it is helpful to use a leave-in straightening cream (such as John Frieda Wind Down relaxing cream) after washing your hair. Then blow dry your hair and straighten it in small sections with the flatiron. After straightening the hair, I smooth it with a couple of drops of silicone-based styling serum (Biosilk is a good one). It may sound like a lot of products for a guy, but it will NOT leave your hair sticky, just soft and shiny. GOOD LUCK! | Should i get Sedu?
I have been thinking about getting a Sedu hair straightener and i'm not sure how well it would work. I have very thick hair. I'm not sure if it is going to be worth it to spend that much money on a flat iron when i'm not sure how well it works! Any suggestions? Just look at the "before and after" pictures on the reviews and compare your curls with the pics. If you find that someone's hair is thicker and/or curlier than yours, then chances are high that it will work on your hair. The trick is to have you hair completely dry and to iron it in small sections at a time. | Drying Hair First
Hi,I have long naturally curly/frizzy hair. Becuase I live in an area (Maryland) that has high levels of humidity I don't wear my hair straight very often. Also, because I go to the gym most mornings, my hair frizzes at the roots after a good workout. I have read on this board that your hair should be completely dry before using the iron. Could I let my curly hair air dry (all day) on one day and then use the iron the next morning so it will be straight or should I use the blow dryer and immediately follow up with the iron? I normally put Infusium 23 and Biosilk in my hair no matter which style I choose so there will be some product in it. Question posted by Wendy Mon Oct 31 2005 Submit your answer | Reply by Katy

Of course. I sometimes let my hair dry overnight and iron it the next morning. I think it's better than blow drying because it doesn't damage your hair as much. | Sedu or T3?
I am trying to decide on buying either the Sedu flat iron or T3 on Sephora.com. Has anybody used the T3 flat iron and have problems with it or not like the results? I see a lot of good reviews for Sedu but since I'll be buying a flat iron for the first time and want a good one that will last, I can't decide. Thanks. From what I have found with my research (I have the same problem)and have found the sedu straightener to have much better reviews on all types of hair. The T3 seems to also have trouble malfunctioning and shorting out as I have heard about that on a number of reviews for T3. | | Reply by Deborah

I just bought the T3 and I am returning it also because it does not straighten as well as my CHI. It also pulls my hair out the entire time I am ironing. | Sedu or Solia?
Has anyone tried both the Sedu and the Solia? I'm trying to decide which one is better for fine hair. Question posted by Kris Sat Oct 29 2005 Submit your answer | Reply by .....
