I have pretty straight just below the shoulder length hair - it is fine but as I've been told by many stylists: I have A LOT of it.
That being said: this did not give me any kind of wave to speak of what it did do is give my hair a LOT of body but it wasn't really a smooth fullness: I had a lot of flyaways and a slight frizz - maybe I will try it with some kind of smoother and see what happens . . .
I never had the opportunity to use the John Freida brand or any other type of sea salt spray to compare this to.
Works pretty well

Works better than other products ive tried for curly hair... Feels like theres nothing in your hair... Leaves your hair feeling natural not like product is weighing or holding your hair down.. Smells like cocoa butter!

I just wanted to let you know that I am so happy with the Sedu beach beauty sea salt spray. it is just like the Jonh Freida beach blonde spray that I was looking for and the price is the same as I paid for beach blonde in the past. So I will be buying more things from Folica.com and I most certainly will be telling all my friends about it too!!!!!
soft, shiny AND curly!!

It truly softens my hair, gives it shine, and defines the curls and waves ( depending on the weather...)
I would recommend this product to any and all people who color/bleach/highlight their hair. Smells good enough to eat, too!
Exactly the same as John Frieda Beach Waves!

I've been searching for a product like this ever since JF discontinued his Summer Blonde Beach Waves product. I tried Bumble & Bumble and didn't like it - it left my hair sticky and tangled. I tried Fructis' Surf Hair and I hated it - especially the smell. I recd an email from Folica with an ad for this product and decided to give it a try. I love it! I actually had an old bottle of JF that I'd been using very sparingly, and compared the ingredients - THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME! It seems that Sedu either bought the formula or somehow got the rights to make this product. I don't care how they did it, but I am so happy!
My hair is perfectly managable, smells great and has the right amount of wave & curl. No frizz, no greasy's - Just great looking tousseled waves! Thank you Sedu for bringing back one of the greatest hair products ever created!!!

I had been obsessed with using John Frieda's Beach Blond Sea spray and was really depressed when it disappeared from the market.
I read about Sedu Sea Salt Spray as a possible new idea and I fell in with this product--it is BETTER than the Jonathan Frieda Ocean Wave, the perfect mix of texturizer with out getting to hard and smells amazing while still be managable. GREAT GREAT GREAT
I love it!

This is such a great product. I have really thik wavy hair and when I wash it it has a mind of its own. I spray this in my hair when it's damp and blowdry it and my hair looks wonderfull. I also use it on my dry hair when i want to revamp my style.

I really really like this product! It does exactly what it says it will do. It smells great and works in either dry or just washed hair. It's a great 'picker upper' for end of day hair as well. The tousled, beachy hair we all crave can really be maintained with this stuff.
Works like Frieda's, doesnt smell as good.

I will always prefer John Frieda's Beach Blonde (smells so yummy!) but this is a close second and will have to do as Beach Blonde was discontinued.
Amazing!

I live on a high desert but had lived the first 19 years of my life by the sea shore. I must say that the smell of the product is delicious. But as to make the soft curls, especially where I live, you must help the product a bit. The first time I used it, I let my hair air dry and it just looked like a dirty mop. The second time, I let it hair dry under the sun and slept overnight without doing anyting to my hair. To my surprise the soft curls had indeed arrived. The only problem was that they were very uneven. Next time I will use a diffuser. Again, not bad....
I love my beach hair!

I never even knew such products existed until I googled "beach hair". This spray was one of the first ones to come up so I decided to give it a try. I just used it for the first time today and I love it. My hair is fine and thin and has some wave, but the ends will dry straight and my hair just ends up looking like a damaged mess. After using this spray, my hair smells fantastic, has a nice shine in addition to the consistent loose waves that appeared. I used a diffuser to dry the roots and it had given my fine, thin hair great volume. I swear, I would wear this spray as a perfume if I didn't put it on my hair. I highly recommend this product if you want nice, soft waves but don't have naturally wavy hair.

Good but not as good as the John Frieda beach spray! It still has the same tropical smell but doesn't hold the curl or wave as well.

I bought Sedu Beach Beauty spray because I thought it would be as good as JF ocean waves... I was wrong! Beach Beauty is far better than ocean waves. It left my hair with that beachy texture I love along with a great tropical scent. I hope they don't discontinue it like JF did with ocean waves.
BEST HAIR STUFF EVER!

My hair is naturally poofy with too much volume, but it comes with tons of curls and frizz. So what do I do? I flat iron my hair. But ARGH! -- straightening my hair flattens all of my hair's volume, leaving it limp and boring! GRR! So what could I do?
I didn't know there was a spray that I could just spritz on my hair for instant volume until I came across this product. But reading the reviews, I figured it wouldn't fit my hair type.
A couple weeks later, I became even more desperate. 'What the heck,' I said to myself. 'I'll try it.' So I ordered one bottle of Sedu Beach Beauty Sea Salt Spray. When it came 5 days later, I flipped my hair upside down and splashed it all over my roots. The first thing I noticed was the smell. It reminded me of the beach alot. It smelled FABULOUS!
I let the spray sink in for a second and then spritzed it on the tips of my hair, rubbing it in little ropes to create waves. Giving my hair a gentle shake with my hands, I checked my hair in the mirror and noticed that my hair had become wavy with lots of extra volume! My husband thought it looked very sexy. But I was a bit skeptical because I thought it wouldn't last long. So at the end of a very long day, my hair still held the waves!
The next day I just randomly sprayed it over my hair and messed it up to make it look tousled. In the end, it looked FABULOUS!
I am in love with my new Sedu Beach Beauty Sea Salt Spray! I will DEFINETLY continue to buy it!
Not the same

Don't be fooled. This is not the same product as the John Frieda Beach Hair product. While this is still a nice product is does not make your hair have the beachy feel or look.
Best beach hair!!!

I love the scent of this spray. It has a coconut and salty smell that always reminds me of a summer day at the ocean. I use it by shaking it up and spritzing it in, I then let my hair air dry, and it conditions my hair and leaves it smelling great. It leaves my hair with lots of loose waves, just as if I spent the day swimming in the ocean and let my hair dry in the sunshine and ocean air. Sometimes when I go to work I just spray some in my towel-dried hair just for the scent and then style as usual. (doesn't affect my heat styling) 5 stars all the way!
