The wax warmer takes a while to heat up, but it is the perfect size and does the job. You REALLY can't beat this product combination for this price. I do wish it came with instructions for first time waxers - although I am not one this would prohibit me from buying this as a gift set for a friend.
Great for at home use!

I am so impressed with this kit! I use this kit for my eyebrows, legs and brazilian bikini waxing and it is worth every penny! The wax warmer heats the wax pretty quickly and is easy to clean.
Follow the directions and be patient your first time isn't going to be perfect, I also love this kit becuase you can use any of their Satin Smooth's waxes with the warmer!
I would definately recommend this product to a friend!

I purchased this product a few months ago, but kept delaying my use because I thought the process was going to be too overwhelming and time consuming. I WAS SO WRONG!!!
This kit was so easy to use. The directions were easy to follow. The wax was just the right temperature. The supplies that came with the kit were perfect and simple to use. The pre-cleanser and the wax removal lotions are wonderful. I have never waxed at home and spent hundreds of dollars at professional salons to have it done. Never again.

This product is AMAZING!! It is by far the best product for hair removal that I have tried so far. I use it to remove facial hair (eyebrows and upper lip). It is very easy to use (if you know what you're doing!) and the cleanup was minimal. Also the wax did not take long to heat up-about 40 minutes but that was expected. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone especially if you're like me and have tried just about every product at the drugstore and are sick of paying for waxing at a salon. Buy this product (and read the instructions carefully) you WILL NOT be disappointed!

I got this to use at home mainly for my bikini area since I thought I could do a good job and not pay arm and a leg at salons. I am really glad I took a chance. I was a little weary at first since I'd never used anything but small packs from drugstores for my face and had read that the warmer took so long but I read the directions and it worked perfect. I haven't used the included wax but the calendula one I bought along with this order since bikini area apparently requires hard wax which you don't use strips to take off.
The warmer worked perfect and I couldn't find any info online so I put the warmer's lid back on during the warm up and also during use so it didn't cool down too much. Whether that's allowed, I don't know but it seemed like the wax would never melt in an hour with the lid off.
I practiced on my legs first and it worked so easy without having to even pull, then my face above my lip which was tricky but only because I am not supposed to use the strip with the hard wax I bought with this. Bikini area is trickier but all the solutions that this kit comes with fixed any mishaps and some sore spots.
It's ingenious and it wasn't intimidating to try at home on my own. These days, I need to save on everything and this definitely saves time and money.

I'm so excited I just got this product and its perfect. Its great from exactly what I want to use it for. I love my eyebrows but they grow back in two weeks. Thats $20 a month! I'm a college student and theres no way I can afford that anymore. This is gonna to save me soo much money. Plus it comes in a cute travel bag. The warmer is small lightweight and easy to handle. I'm really happy. Money is tight with school and all. But this was a great investment! Thanks

i just received this product today and already did my whole face - it was my first time using wax on myself, so it was a little messier than i expected, but it worked really well - I'm very happy with the product and fast delivery. I'm going to do my legs on the weekend, and i can't wait to see how they come out. I definetely recommend it because it will save you a lot of money in the long run.

WOW! I used my kit for the first time last night and I was more than pleased. Worked just like getting them done professionally. Everything in the kit is so convenient; from the pre cut cloth to the 3 different sized sticks and the wax residue remover worked really well for me. The warmer heated the wax in under two hours on the highest level. Enough wax to last years, most definately worth every penny..after one use, I am ordering another one for my sister right now!

With three women in the house who like to get their eyebrows waxed, I decided it was time to do it myself. I did some web searching for a kit. Folica seemed to be the one site that had a variety of waxing products.
I decided on the Satin Smooth Waxing Starter Kit. The price was right and the product seemed to be what I was looking for. I read the reviews and decided to go ahead with the purchase and boy, am I glad I did.
I ordered this product on the 16th in the evening. I received the order on the 20th in the morning. Tonight I fired it up and and gave it a whirl. I did my daughters brows and mine. I felt like a pro. It was sooo easy to use and it worked like a champ! I would recommend this product 100%.

I bought this kit because I have very sensitive skin and cannot use non wax depilatory products. Shaving creates painful razor burn and ingrown hairs. I had tried everything from an electric razor to regular and still the same results. The backs of my legs and inner thighs, under arms and bikini area all looked awful and felt just as bad.
So I decided to try waxing. I have gone to professionals before for my eyebrows but that was it. So, I had some clue about waxing and decided what the heck. After reading tons of reviews for different products decided this one looked the best.
I used the product yesterday following all instructions and must say that despite the pain it worked very well! It took about 2 hours for the wax to get to the right consistency like maple syrup. My boyfriend actually helped me, and let me use it on him in spots as well.
I do have some redness still today in a couple places but overall definately worth it! Even the pain was worth it. My hope is that I can go at least 4 weeks in between applications but may need to supplement a quick shave here and there.
By the way, as long as you follow the directions and be patient with it and realize that it may take you several attempts to perfect it is a great purchase. I even received the product 4 days after ordering.

This is a great product for the price it is offered at. I would recomened getting extra waxing strips because they go fast. Heating up the wax takes a good hour.

this kit is good. i like it .. it is the 1st on i have ever got so .. so fiar so good. the heter is slow it took 2 hours to git hot .. but it worked good .. i like this item ..

I am very pleased with the waxer. It is very easy to use, even for a novice like me. The one thing I recommend is making sure that the wax is heated well. I would at least let it heat up for 1-2 hours. The more wax you have the longer the heating time.

So far so good, not as bad as i thought according to some of the negative reviews i read here. I was kinda doubting it at first after placing my order on folica.com but still wanted to give it a try & wow! This kit provided me with everything that i needed. It comes with the little heater pot to heat up your wax in (takes about 1 hr, so for those who exaggerated on the reviews saying it takes about 3 hours or a day is NOT TRUE!!), the wax (pretty big container, it'll probably last me quite a while), the strips, and bottles of residue remover to help get off that stickyness. This is my first kit, and so far it's a really good investment, no regrets. I got tired of going to the beauty salons to get my eyebrows and upper lip wax'd ..everytime comes out to be like $15 total for something so quick and easy that you can do yourself in less than 5 minutes. i made my money's worth with my first use: i wax'd my upper lips, my mom's upper lips, and my legs....but haven't done my eyebrows yet i'm going to wait til my eyebrows grow out first, and perhaps even my armpits later as well! Its also something fun you can do with your friends when you want to spend a weekend at home and just have a girl's night or slumber party and just go ahead and pamper each other with facials and waxing =) This thing is great as a starter kit to use at home on yourself, but if you want some super-pro heater pots for your own beauty salon then you should invest in a more expensive one.

I decided to save a few bucks from going to the salon and start doing at home waxing. I am a beginner and found this product easy to use. I am very pleased with the wax but it did take about an hour to get the wax to the right consistancy. I would also advise in purchasing extra waxing strips with this kit.

I am a licensed esthetician and totally agree with Design Diva. If you are going to use professional products, not ones you can get at the drug store, you MUST know what you are doing. I have been using this product for years and swear by it. Have had rave reviews from clients with absolutely no after effects. I do use a post-waxing aloe skin conditionin product which makes all the difference.

Great for eyeberow waxing,and removing unwanted facial hair. Love the warmer unit. The honey wax used does not get to hot, I can apply it immediately after dipping into the wax. Cleans up easy. With the strips it comes with does not leave unwanted wax hanging around very easy to lift up. I am satisfied with this purchase.

okay ladies, here's my story. years ago i had a great home waxing kit that was discontinued. so for a few years I schlepped to professional waxers in different cities as i moved for work, etc. it was a hit or miss endeavor, sometimes i'd find a good waxer, other times not so much. after a recent professional mishap at an upscale salon (i was peeling skin off for a week, not pretty), i decided to purchase another home waxing kit. after a quick internet search i found folica and what they say is true, SPEEDY shipping. Better yet, great product! I will be hard-pressed to go to a pro again. It's not a matter of saving $$$, that's just a bonus, it's nice to be in control of my waxing experiences again!

I just graduated from cosmetology school and have used a lot of different waxes. The warmer works pretty well. I have only tried the wax that came with it and wasnt very happy with it, it was really sticky and hard to use even with my experience. (the strips werent that great either)
But i would still recommend this starter kit, just order another wax compatible with your skin type to go with it. waxing is amazing, i never want to shave again!

I've always gone to a salon to get waxed but I'm trying to save money and started looking around for a product that would let me do it on my own. And I must say I was very happy with this product. Works great and leaves smooth skin behind. It takes a bit of practice to get the wax mostly on the areas you want to get waxed and not all over hands but I got the hang of it after a few tries. Like many of the other reviewers, I recommend that you get extra cloths and sticks because those do go by fast. The only reason I'm not giving this a 5-star review is that this is the first one I've tried and so I can't really say its the best but I'm not looking further.
