You should clean the machine after every use. Vegetable oil on a paper towel will take off the wax. Then wipe off with a damp cloth and a bit of dish soap. If you run out of wax residue remover for your skin you can use vegetable oil for that too.
Types of wax that can used and how to clean product.
Someone wrote that honey wax works better. Can you only use the two waxes listed here for this product? Also how do you clean the wax out after you use it or do you just leave it in the container and re use it next time? Question posted by Michelle Sun Aug 21 2005

The wax stays in the tin you buy it in. You put the whole tin in the warmer. Any wax designed to be used in a warmer will work if the tin is the right size. I have used Satin Smooth Honey, Aloe vera and Calendula. I liked the honey and the aloe vera. My daughter just tried the Gigi honey and says it is wonderful. She liked it better than the others.
