I've noticed that the percentage of minoxadil is greater in the male product than it is in the female product. I have been losing hair since I was about 18. I am now 32 and can not wear my hair down, because I have a bald spot on the crown of my head. I was in the Army for 14 years, and believe the constant wearing of either a cap or helmet increaded the spot. Could I profit more from using the men's product? Question posted by B.G. I forgot the exact stats, but with Rogaine, it was basically 30% of users saw no noticeable regrowth, but their hair stopped falling out; another 30% of users saw little/noticible hairgrowth; another 30% saw considerable/noticable hairgrowth.
So with that said, and like their slogan 'Use it or lose it' - this product definitely helps. | Receding Hair
does rogaine work for receding hair Loss ? Question posted by Jong Lee Sat Dec 10 2005 Submit your answer How old ??????
I'm 64 but have always had a good amount of hair. Over the past year I have noticed some hair thinning in the vortex. My hair grows well and I am happy to have what I have but would like to stop the thinning and hopefully get some of the growth back. I have always maintained a healthy life style. Am I being realistic ???? Question posted by Steve E Fri Nov 25 2005 Submit your answer How often do you need to apply Rogaine twice a day after the initial three month period?
I am trying to find out directions for continued use of Rogaine Extra Strength (or regular Rogaine) for men, but am unable to find this on your site. I understand that Rogaine needs to be applied twice a day for the first 3 months. So my questions are: Twice a day for how much longer than 3 months? Do the applications decrease after a certain length of time? For example, do the required applications decrease to say once a week at some point or will the application be required twice a day forever? My husband is almost completely hairless on the entire top of his head and the crown area and is about 50% gray. The hair on the sides of his head and back area is very thick and healthy. He is 59 years. Question posted by O. O'Neill Sun Jun 12 2005 Submit your answer | Reply by hairwoes

depends on user. i used twice a day for three months. and growth was very mild. cut back, and guess rogaine was clogging pores. because got better growth with less frequent use. i suppose it's different for each user though. he should probably take propecia or saw palmetto in combination. good for prostate too. see a physician. | | Reply by Young and Thinning

It does depend on user, but the website, as well as my dermatologist said, that you pretty much have to use the product for the rest of your life if you are experiencing male pattern/hereditary balding. |
