Terrible purchase...

I bought this thinking I'd save money for a trip to Italy, but really it was such a waste of money. I have mixed hair, I'm half African American and half Mexican American, but its very thick. First, it was extremely ackward to use, while using the flat iron part it was very easy for the plates to miss each other and did not close tight enough. When using the curling iron part of the appliance, the curls never lasted long enough anyways and they were so loose, my boyfriend would ask me if I had even curled my hair at all! At least it lasted throughout the entire month and a half overseas...when I opened my suitcase back home, it had completely broken off into two pieces. Don't bother with this!

Horrible, horrible, horrible product. So wish I had read the reviews before buying. Total impulse buy and will be my last concerning Revlon Products. I thought it would be great to have a straightener and curling iron in one. Does not work. I did burn myself with it though. Great idea, very poor execution. Who is testing these products?
poorly made

I recently purchased this product and have been disappointed. I only used the straightener a few times, and it hurt my hand to hold it down long enough to be effective. I do not take this curling iron when travelling, yet yesterday I saw that the plastic hinge had already broken. I have only lightly used this product at my vanity for a few months. I think the design is poor.
Do not bother

I bought one a while ago because it was a reasonable price. However, it was not worth it. The curling iron part of it works okay but it is not that good. The straightening part of it is absolutely terrible. It doesn't get my hair straight at all.
Not worth the $20

I bought this at walmart after my vidal sassoon iron went kaput after 4 years. I thought it'd be nice to have both a curling iron and straightener in one but boy, was I wrong! First off, I have chin-length hair that isn't very thick. This does not straighten very well at all and when you hold it, you have to hold it so tight that your hands start to hurt to even get the 2 "barrells" to clamp together to even straighten your hair a little, otherwise, there's always a gap. I'm thankful I only wasted $20 on this thing. It does work as a curling iron, but not as a straightener. I'll be giving this to my sister... who does want to use it as a curling iron.
Clip broke, poor heat

The clip that allows the "straightener" to to stick together and become a "curling iron" and vice versa broke within a week and a half. Even if it did work properly, it takes a long time for it to heat up and the degree of heat is weak. The straightener folding into each other to clip your hair worked poorly. I really needed to use both hands and both ends of it to grasp my hair. Maybe if you had thin hair the degree of heat may be okay, but i have thick hair and it did NOT straighten nor curl the way i wanted it to (even at the highest heat setting!). I suggest buying a separate curling iron and separate straightener, or you'll be throwing out about $34 that you paid.
