I know some think this is a piece of crap straightener, but if you use a good amount of anti-frizz gel and hair protection gel, you should be fine. I've had one for about a year now and people still say its a lot softer and nicer, that it doesn't really look like I straighten it. Also, use it only on high blue to purple setting when your hair is dry. I do not recommend it for wet hair! wait until its damp. Then use only the low red setting.
