i have had this for a long time but have never used it...i dont know what the different heat settings mean.

if you check the inner side of the striaghtener, right below the plates, there is a handy little guide offered(:
but incase you dont wanna bother looking it up:
settings 1-10 for dry thin normal hair
settings 11-20 for day thick hair
settings 21-30 for wet hair

Beeping Noise
My iron is making a beeping noise like it does when it is turned on.The thing is IT'S OFF AND SHUT - does anyone know what that is?

You're not supposed to leave it plugged in. It will keep making that beeping noise periodically to remind you until you unplug it. It says right in the instructions that it isn't meant to be left plugged in. |
Does your hair have to be wet when you use it, or can it be dry too?
does it matter whether your hair is dry or wet to use the product?

you can use it either way, just make sure to use heat protectant..bc just like EVERY straightener, this one damages your hair | | Reply by Isabella

Personally, it works better on dry hair, but in a hurry it could be used on we hair, but caution- it cackles and fizzes hair and damages it. Use a heat protectant. |
Strange Hair... Which Straightener?
I have been doing lots of research on the perfect straightener. My Remington Wet2Straight is not working as well as it used to and even when I had just gotten it, it didn't get rid of frizz and kinks. So, as I researched, I found that the Sedu straightener is going to be the best. I also know that it comes in various sizes including 1". I am having a hard time deciding which width is the best.My hair is very very strange. It is a poofy wavy type toward the front with little kinky curls close to my scalp. On the sides, it poofs but the back is the worst. At the very top of the back of my head, there are very very tight little waves that poof when I brush them. The really tight kinks last about 5 inches from the root and beyond that, they flatten out but it still poofs. I have never gone in public with my hair in it's natural state. My hair is also very think but due to stress it is getting kind of thin. When "straightened" and pulled back in a pony tail, the diameter of the bound hair is probably 1.25".Now that you have a general idea of my hair type, which thickness would work best? I hear thin is better for getting to the root which is very important, but with my thickness and extreme kinks and frizziness, maybe the thicker would work well with that... or does it not really matter?Your reply is greatly appreciated! I have hair kind of like yours. It's important for me to get the roots perfect. If I were you, I would get the 1" Sedu. But I'm telling you now, the 1" is VERY small. If you're used to BIG BULKY straighteners like this one, you'll be shocked at the size of the 1" sedu. It will keep your hair straight for as long as it is dry. Meaning that, if you didn't wash your hair for a month, it will stay STRAIGHT, I promise! |
