snother bad flay iron
Reviewer: dani from Mount airy, nc, usa   2009-11-20

I had this strgihter for about 2 years. It is by far the worst strightner that I ever had. At first islooked super stright, then after about a month is wouldn't heat up as fast. my hair stunk. smelled like burned rubber. And this flat iron gives you split ends, and just fires your hair. trust me, not the money weel spent. I wouldnt reccomend this flat iron to anyone.

UGHHH ANOTHER TERRIBLE STRAIGHTENER
Reviewer: jamie from gainsville florida   2009-11-08

well i've had this straightener for about 2 years now all i have to say is what a big disappointment. my hair used to be pretty thick and healthy looking but not it's pretty thin and has major dead ends. the plates on it completely turned black and every time i use it my hair smells like it caught on fire. i've gotten to the point where im embarrassed to wear my hair down because i dont want no-one to smell my hair so i keep it up and only straighten my bangs. im currently looking for a better straightener and i think i might buy the solia flat iron here on folica.com . soo please if anyone is looking for a better straightener DO NOT BUY THIS ONE ITS A WASTE OF MONEY!!!!

Great budget flat iron

If you're looking a flat iron under $50, look no further. This iron will get your super straight. I think all the bad reviews on here are from people not knowing how to use it. You need to section your hair and iron each section slowly. If the hair's wet, expect to go over the section multiple times. And, be careful, the steam is hot. I've had this thing for over 5 years, and it's still working great. Some of the coating has worn off over time, but it still heats up fast and straightens my hair stick straight. As with all cheapy irons, you're gonna get A LOT of damage, so just make sure you use lots of heat protectant. But really, with all the money you spend on heat protectant sprays and serums, it's better to just invest a higher end flat iron. I use this as my back up iron and for traveling because I'm not afraid if it breaks or get lets lost.

Eh, eh.

I believe this was my very first flat iron. At first, I was ecstatic because my hair is normally very poofy with a slight wave, and I finally had something to deal with it. It worked fine at first, and then it began to not straighten. Of course it would straighten, but it would be very poofy STILL. A couple hours later, my work was completely gone. Did I mention it made my hair smell really bad? I let my aunt borrow it, and it worked fine on her hair. Pin straight. Hm, it didn't like me. so it's average, except for that burnt smell. Ew. But I ordered my first PROFESSIONAL flat iron Friday... Let's see if that works better!

awesome.
