I've been useing this product for 3 years and LOVE it. I love all redkin products.
My hair is F-R-I-Z-Z-Y And my stylist used this on my hair- and i went back 3 days later and get a bottle b/c i HAD to have it... It's the ONLY product i've used that accually makes my hair stay stick str8 Even in the poring rain! (under an umbrella of course.) And i live in Florida!! like i said- i have very frizzy and wavy hair.
It makes my hair so shiney and oh so sexy!!
If i could give it a higher rank I would!!

I absolutely LOVE this product! I purchased it along with my new Sedu flat iron (which I also LOVE). It allows me to get my hair totally smooth and straight, even without the Sedu. I just can't sing enough praises for this product. Absolutely fabulous!!!

I used to use this product all the time. This product is great for really thick, coarse, curly, frizzy hair. The product is kind of thick and a bit heavy so thats why its good for thicker hair. I loved it when i was using it and i would probably use it again but i prefer Chi Silk Infusion because its not as heavy or sticky. Good product and Redken does have a good reputation.

i am 12 years old and me and my mom both use this product every day!! she has dry hair and split ends and very thick hair... i have wavy/curly hair and not very many split ends but the product has been working for us since we first started using it!! me and my mom love redken!!!

BEST STRAIGHTENING SERUM EVER!!! Redken products are amazing and this is definitely one of my favorites.Its worth ever penny! BTW all u need it a few drops so it does last a while!It smells pretty good too! =)

ok i just bought this today and i used it on my ends on one side and i ran my flat iron over it O_o!! wow love im going to do another reveiw with a pic!! but so far i love it already and SMELLS!! goos my friends use redken that's all tehy use and i know how there hair smell and i went to smell it and it was this sent!! lol im b
1 bottle goes a long way!

I absolutely love the redken heat glide smoother, I've been using it since my senior year of high school and I'm in college now and I'm 22, so you do the math. This week I'm going to buy the Redken Smoothing Shampoo,Conditioner and the Butter Hair Treatment. I have thick, slighly curly and frizzy hair and this does an amazing job, hopefully so does the shampoo and conditioner. I usually only use it after I straightner my hair to tame the frizz and to top it off w/shine. 1 bottle goes a long way, use only 1 to 2 pumps, otherwise your hair will look really oily and greasy.

My hair is as mixed as my ethnic background...native american, jamacian, english, scotch-irish and east indian. I have 3B/3C curls, lots of frizz and I relax it a bit to help keep it under control. I had been using Pantene products for 'women of color' (politically correct term I think). My new hairdresser told me that it was damaging my hair. I switched to the Redken smooth down shampoo, conditioner and heat glide this weekend. I can't begin to tell you how much better my hair looks!! I also received a Hot Tools tourmaline hair dryer and flat iron as gifts. Between the Redken hair products and Hot tools, my head has died and gone to heaven!!!
The softness, smoothness and shine are like nothing I have ever achieved before. I have to add that it was rainy and foggy today in the North East and my hair survived it all. The weather caused a little flop in the style, but almost zero frizz!!!
I will be a loyal customer for a long time to come.
I will be receiving the butter treatment in a few days and will use that as a deep treatment. I can't say enough about ho

I've used all the serums. Biosilk, CHI, Paul Mitchell, SNOB GIRLS PARIS (those work even better), Biolage and more. I really enjoy the Redken Smooth Down. It’s thicker, so it works best for people who need lots of smoothing and protection while ironing. This smells better than the CHI serum and it works just as good.
Plus the ingredients make it worth more than most serums. It actually has some good vitamins and emollients in it, rather than only having the main ingredients dimethicone and cyclomethicone, (silicone based products).

i add a few pumps then blow dry.. then add another pump and seperate my hair into sections and use my chi to straighten... i LOVE this heat glide smoother.. i can tell a HUGE difference when i use it.. i used this when i lived in the dorms and my neighbors would always try to sneak it into their rooms to use it! i totally recommend!

This stuff is good. The thing is that if you put in too much then it will get very greasy. Also, it smells funky.

I was recommended this by the hair dresser after my hair became severely damaged by my straightner. But I really didnt see as big of a difference as I'd like to have seen. It didnt really smooth it down, but it did work well on my bangs. Then once this product ran out I've just been using VO5 Make it Straight! and its working better than this product. So it's not horrible, just disappointed.

I've been using this for 2 months now and I LOVE LOVE it! At first I was skeptical b/c it felt greasy and sticky, but I decided to give it a try. Once it was applied to my hair, it didn't feel greasy or sticky anymore. If anything, my hair feels super shiny and most importantly, NO MORE FRIZZY ENDS!! Instead of using after washing my hair, I use it after I blow dry my hair. Then, I run my straightner through it and my hair stays straight, shiny, and soft all day! This product is amazing & one of the best I've try so far (and I've tried a lot of things on my hair)

I have very dry hair and my hair dresser suggested that i use this product when i straighten my hair, and it really does make it somewhat smoother than it is when i dont use it. To really seal in the protector and make your hair smooth try using a cuticle sealer with this product...apply the Heat Glide then put the sealer on, blow dry a bit so it's not as greasy as when you let it air dry, and only use about 2 pumps and 1 pump to go over the ends!

I am African American with extra thick, dry, relaxed hair - once I experienced it, I couldn't get enough. My hair has always been so BIG and with this my hair is finally more manageable and most of all, smaller! :D
I recommend it for people with thick, coarse hair and especially people that have had chemical relaxers because it seems to boost the moisture of the hair as well as heat protection.
It's perfect for when it's about time for your next straightening relaxer but you don't have the time or money!

I have 4a/4b ,afro-american, relaxed hair. It is course,dry, and very hard to manage. This product made my hair soooo soft and shiny(not as shiny as PM super skinny, but pretty close). It also reduced the amount of frizz in my hair. i was stuck between getting PM super skinny serum or getting this... im so glad i decided to get this.Dont get me wrong, super skinny serum is good,just not as good as this. I found that the skinny serum did make my hair much shinier, and redudced the frizz about the same as this product, but not as soft. Love,Love,Love this stuff!

I've been using smooth down heat glide for years and it works great. I highly recommend it. I have thick, naturally curly hair and apply a pump or two before flat ironing and it does an amazing job to protect my hair. Another pump after I'm done, and it gives my hair a nice gloss and helps keep the frizz away (I live in Tampa, FL--the capital city in the state of humidity so I know my anti-humidity hair care products).

I'm 23 years old and just had my hair cut for the very first time. My hair is frizzy and dry, I bought this product several weeks ago and I use it with my hair straightener and straigten's my hair really good, make sure you don't use a whole lot of it because it can make your hair look a little oily. It works great.

I have thick relaxed hair and it all it takes is 3 or 4 pumps. Works great with any heat appliance; awesome heat protectant. Definately recommended!

Just a few drops that's what it takes and your hair gets really smooth and silky I even have some splits ends and this product has improved the texture of my hair.
