This is my favorite product to use. I have chin length, fine, straight hair and rubbing a bit of this product into my dry hair adds tons of texture. Not too sticky. Not greasy at all. In response to the other review, this is not a product for spiking up short hair... but a wonderful product for adding a nice 'dirtiness' to hair that always looks too clean, too flat, and too straight.

redken rough paste is alright, it does what it says by protecting from heat damage, but the base ingredient is petrolatum, which is very greasy. it is not good for spiking up short hair, because your hair ends up feeling like you just dipped your head in a tub of crisco.
