I gave the rating I did because, for me, it was not a right product. After application my hair had a gummy feel. I use the product when I know i'll be washing my hair the next day.

I usually use a Matrix product - but this gives hair a lot of body. I use it in conjunction with the Organin product and am happy with the combined results.

I know that sounds cheesy, but I have to tell you that I am so impressed with this shampoo that I had to write a review; something I seldom do.
I have thin baby fine hair. This shampoo has thickened my hair so much that I am getting so many compliments on my hair. I have never seen anything like this, and I have tried many hair thickening shampoos like the Nexus. Not only does this work better than Nexus, it is only about $ 6 bucks.
Save yourselves some $$$ and listen. Give it a try. The only problem with it, is that it is hard to find on the shelves. Some Walgreens have it, some don't. I've only tried their thickening shampoo not the foam nor the 2 in l shampoo. I absolutely love it. It really does what it says it's going to do.

I did not see anything special about Progaine Volumizing Foam. It didn't hurt my hair but it also didn't give it anything to brag about.
