Product Rating: 5 Best investment!
Reviewer: Kristin from Massachusetts  Mon Nov 19 2007

I love this flat iron, I have had mine for over 3 years and it still works great. Definitely the best flat iron I have ever had!!

Product Rating: 2 Broken
Reviewer: Amber W from Alberta, Canada  Sun Nov 18 2007

I agree with the rest of the reviews. I'm a professional hair stylist. I bought the iron at a hair show last year for my own personal use, the damn thing broke after 1 year, and that was just using it once a day!!
I've had lots of other irons that last twice as long using them at work, which = like 10 times a day.

Crappy product, Paul Mitchell should recall this item, and be ashamed they put thier name behind it.

Product Rating: 5 Great- Still works after 4 YEARS!
Reviewer: Katherine from Atlanta, GA  Wed Nov 14 2007

I have it for four years and it still works great! If you buy one now I think you need to make sure that it is made in China because the ones in Korea are having problems. This is what a presentative said to a friend of mine who receively bought one. But the new one works great she says. 6 Months now and no problems. Good luck.

I am a hair designer, and I use this straighting iron everyday! I love it and it's made me lots of money. It does however have a problem with the wire shorting out where is swivels. I took it to a friend who was good with electrical wires and he fixed it and its worked great ever since!

I Love this flat iorn however be careful where the swivel on the cord is causing mine to short out I bought it in Feburaury of this year. Have only used it a few times as I was letting my hair go a little longer and very dissapointed with this factor as I have bought 3 in 2 years 2 for my daughter and now this one and having a problem with it.

Product Rating: 5 I LOVE IT!!
Reviewer: Kyleigh from Indiana  Mon Sep 10 2007

I got this flat iron two months ago from my hairdresser... It was the one she used on my hair from day one, and I was in love with it! She told me that the iron I was using previously was damaging my ends. I never thought that I needed to invest in a good flat iron to make my hair appear sleek and shiny, my old one worked fine (Conair Ceramic Technology). My hairdresser reccomended the PM Straightener, and I decided it was worth a shot, so I bought it. Like I said, I've only been using this for two months, but my hair is now softer, shinier, and I think it's even been growing faster!

I purchased my Paul Mitchell flat iron because my hairdresser suggest it. I loved it! And then it broke within 8 months. The light started flashing, it quit getting hot, and one minute it would work and the next it didn't. I took it back and the salon replaced it immediately with a brand new one. Four months later, the EXACT thing happened. I took it back and they gave me my money back. They said that they were having problems with quite a few of them. I now own a CHI and I have had it for about a year and I love it! It doesn't have the temperature control that my Paul Mitchell has but it works just as well even better. Buy the Chi.

Product Rating: 5 AMAZING!!
Reviewer: Katie Clements   Fri Aug 31 2007

I bought this product when I was a senior in high school. I am now a senior in college and it just broke:( My friend bought a CHI at the same time that I bought my flat iron and she had to replace hers in the same amount of time that mine was working wonderfully! If you have the money, BUY THIS STRAIGHTENER!!!

Product Rating: 2 Broke in a week...
Reviewer: anna   Wed Aug 29 2007

I had mine for a 1 1/2 week when it didn't want to turn on anymore. It apparently had a bad internal fuse or something and burned out. I really loved the way my hair looked and all but it broke so soon. I had my CHI for 4 years and is still working. Oh and Paul Mitchell does not do refunds and if you want to exchange your iron for reasons like mine. You have to ship it to them and include a $10 check with it so that they can ship you back your new one. You can't just go and get it exchanged through the retailer you bought it from. I just don't think I should be paying to ship it there and then give them and additional $10 so that they can ship me back a new one. Especially when it's a mfg default.

Product Rating: 4 Now about your hair...
Reviewer: Brianna from Chicopee, Massachusetts  Sat Aug 11 2007

Now I always had normal to thick hair that was wavy. I bought a $25 straightner from Walmart (Wet2Straight). Even as I did layer by layer it just wouldn't thin out. Finally my friend and neighbor used the Paul Mitchell Straightner on my hair. Not only did it straighten and thin my hair, but it also was super soft and silky. I want to buy one myself but I'm not completly sold on the $150 price.
