It's definetly bitter, but it chips off really easily. It's a pain. You'd have to put it on several times a day for it to really work.

I tried this product, and many others, Orly No Bite was personally my favorite and the only one that really worked for more than a half an hour. It continued to work into the next day.

I highly recommend this product! The bitter taste helps more as a reminder to stop chewing on your nail. Also, it dries clear and does not flake off, which is really nice especially if you want to paint it over another color.

I had been biting my fingernails for over 18 years. Then, I googled for some kits to help with this problem and Folica's no nail bite kit came up. It worked for me because I was willing to stick with the extremely bitter taste which was a very effective deterrent. My nails grew out and I won't hesitate to recommend this kit to anyone who is really ready to weather the nasty taste of the polish if you tried to put your fingers in your mouth. I run fadingwhispers dot org and in that site, I chronicle my experiences and give the No Nail Bite Kit a big two thumbs up.

Im half and half with this product, i bought it for my boyfriend who bites his nails ALL the time... and his dad has Hepatitus C and theres a real big risk for him to catch it on door knobs and things like that... I tried the polish and thought it was terrible, i gagged and spit and could taste it for a while. (sort of like tasting chemicals or something like that on your hand without washing them). But when i used it on my boyfriend, he didn't think it was THAT bad. If you want this to be effective you should really paint your nails every day, or the taste wears off from daily wear and tear. After a day, the taste is gone. However he does have one nail with white showing (maybe he just doesnt bite that one so i wont notice...)

I have tried other liquid deterrents before and the bad taste didn't affect me. I kept on biting my nails. The bad taste on this product is much stronger and since the first day I used it I haven't bitten my nails. It has only been 1 week, but I don't have any desire to bite my nails anymore. Thank you.

Someone recommended Orly no bite for our little boys who are trying to break their thumb sucking habit. It worked the first few times we applied the polish. But even the nasty taste ultimately didn't deter them. Our older kids, however who are simply trying not to bite their nails, found the product very successful.

I bought this product hoping to stop my habit of chewing my nails but this hasn't worked for me. I didn't find this product to be very bitter but that could just be me.

THIS PRODUCT ONLY WORKED FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS ON MY DAUGHTER. SHE LEARNED SOAP AND WATER TOOK THE BAD TASTE AWAY.

My boyfriend bites his nails so far, and his finger tips were all bitten up. I go to school during the week two hours away so I can't put the No Bite on him every day, but after the weekend of putting it on him his finger tips healed and he started to grow a little nail. I can't wait til summer so I can get rid of his nasty stubs of finger nails. Guys should keep their finger nails short, but not so short that his fingers bleed. After the first time I put the No Bite on him, he called an hour after going to work and said he almost threw up the first time he stuck his fingers in his mouth... that will teach him! Also... it really helps that it dries clear and not glossy so that I can get my manly man boyfriend to put it on. Thanks so much!

I'm a 38 year male and have been biting my nails for as long as I can remember. I hate the habit and have tried nearly every product and method on the market - including hypnosis. Nothing really works. Orly No Bite is working. What I like most about it is that it has a satin finish, not a glossy sheen, so it doesn't look like I am wearing nailpolish like other products I tried. The taste is not pleasant, but you do have to reapply at least once a day. I find that washing your hands removes some of the effect.

I got this for my two year old daughter, because she would not keep her fingers out of her mouth. I asked her to taste it when I put it on her nails. My hope was that she would be so disgusted that she would never do it again. Unstead she replied, "Mmm, Sugary", and continued to suck on the the rest of her nails. I didn't try it myself, but it definitely didn't work on her.

This stuff really works. It truly tastes nasty. I put it on my nail and on the skin directly above & beside my nail. When I forget and try to bite my nail, all desire to do so is killed wth the icky taste. I put it on a little thick and let it dry. After 12 hours and two showers later, combined with multiple hand washings, I could still taste a hint of the Orly no bite solution on my nails!!!! ...My nails are growing, YEAH!!

this product makes you think twice, the taste is bad but it isn't THAT horrible. when i stick my fingers in my mouth, i'll taste it, remember not to bite, and stop myself. it kind of rubs off on everything though. i like it also becuase i have cuts around my fingers and it doesn't burn a lot.

Wow, the first time i used this stuff was last month and i haven't bitten my nails since! This stuff is excellent! My mom is always telling me that im a girl and i shouldn't but my nails because its not a "girly" thing to do. I recommend this stuff to anybody.

I have been biting my nails since i was a child. This product has worked very well for me. I hven't bit my nails in three weeks.
