This product left my nails cracked, weak, and pealing. I had been looking for a lower cost alternative to what I was using previously...hoping for the same type of matte finish at a lower cost. This stuff dries your cuticles...causing cracks in your nails that later peal.

I never could find a matte finish at any retail outlet. This product provides an excellent but not obvious finish. i work as a fine dining waiter and my hands are in constant view. A glossy finish is too forward and gives a look in civilian life I do not desire. Thanks for an outstanding product!

I think Orly Nail for Males is very good ! It makes my nail brighter and more beautiful ! I don't bite my nails when I use Nails for Males ! But people at my work think that I'm a girly man ! So I think Orly should create new kind of this Nails for Males " It will have transparent coler !

This stuff creates a hard coat that doesn't come off. It is less shiney than similar products for women.

I first got nails for males at a manicure in some hotel in Florida.
I now have my own bottle. I think its the only nail polish men should use. The regular clear nail polish is just too shinny for a man and looks too feminine for my taste. Nails for Males gives a kind of matte finish totally appropriate for men to use. And with two coats, it lasts for up to three weeks. I have never found it to chip.

I bought this with high hopes as I've been searching for years for a product with a matte finish to mimic buffed nails and still protect them. This product claimed to have a semi-gloss finish and yes, it's a bit less glossy than most, but because of the caustic ingredients my once long, strong & flexible nails have cracked, split & chipped. I had to file them down to nothing to remove the damage caused by Orly's Nails for Males to the tips. I'm afraid the damage to the rest of the nail will take close to a year to grow out. Barielle had given me years of beautiful nails and it took only a week for Orly to ruin them.
There was no ingredient list in the item description, but it had been so long since I'd seen formaldehyde or toluene in nail care products (except for Sally Hansen) that I took a chance. The label on the bottle neglects mentioning these ingredients either, but when my nails started peeling and cracking I called Orly (took me over a week to actually talk to a person) and was told that, yes, all their products except a new 'spa' line contain these dangerous and inferior ingredients.
My advice is to stay away from all Orly products if you value your nails. They don't seem to care about either their customers safety or honest labeling.

Gives nails a nice neat finish without the high gloss. My man was a nail biter and a health freak. The nail polish successfully deterred him from putting his fingers in the mouth (too many chemicals!) but he didn't want people at work to think he was a girly man either. Orly allows him to have nicely finished nails on the sly. A wonderful product.
YAY! My search for a men's nail product is finally over!

FINALLY!! I am so pleased to have found Orly Nails for Males. I have literally searched for years to find a such nail product that would help to ensure healthier stronger nails but not be so blatantly obvious that you're wearing a nail coating. As other guys have done, I have tried many nail products but they provided too much of a shiny gloss. While I like a shine to my nails, I prefer a natural looking shine. With this product, you can leave it a nice natural matte finish or buff your nails for a nice natural shine after it dries. Use it on your fingernails AND toenails because too many men overlook their toes! I'm definitely bookmarking Folica website for my follow-up purchases.

This product is exactly as it claims. My nails are healthier than ever and nobody can even tell that I am wearing anything on them. Once you get the technique of putting it on down, it looks identical to the color of your nails. I would recommend this product to all guys or women for that matter that want healthier, stronger looking nails.

It's a sign of good health and caring for one's self when your nails are neat and clean!! Considering I am a non-pro body builder, weigh 225lbs and enjoy all types of athletics, amd furry all over, buffing my nails just doesnt go with my image.
This product is terrific, it makes your nails look smooth and freshly manicured, without the high shine. I have notice that my nails become more shiny as the product gets "buffed" from your hands use all week. It's not a bad thing, just noting it.
Beauty, skin and nail care should be an essential part of everyones routine, not just for the ladies.

my nails were thin ,brittle and just plain unsightly..until I found nails for males by orly. I am not the primping type but I will have to admit I have no problems now about shaking hands and thinking "I hope they don't look at my hands". Thanks to this product I shake hands and do not have to worry about my fingernails looking sickly or just plain ugly.By the way what woman wants to shake hands with an ugly mitt?

I've used clear nail polish for a number of years, primarily to keep nail fungus under control. I've mastered Nail-tek in terms of application, thinning when needed, etc., and manicure weekly.
Orly Nails for Men was not at all hard to apply, but it didn't set evenly. The low lustre finish revealed these inconsistencies far more than a gloss finish would.
The slight opacity in the color seems to call attention to the fact that you are wearing a polish more than clear gloss over your natural nail color. Just my opinion, but I don't find it particularly attractive.
On the plus side, the bottle and brush are easy to use. As with any product, that comes in handy if it takes your fancy.

When my wife said I should start taking better care of my nails, I said ok and she would usually do it and buff them out. Once in a while she would use clear polish but that was not for me, too shiny. I found out about nails for males and tried it without her knowing it. When she told me I was doing a good job taking care of my nails and how great they looked, I told her that I ve been using the Orly Nails for Males. She didn't believe me until I showed her. I think its a fantastic product, and so does my wife. She now borrows it from me to use. Thanks again for a great naturally looking product!

I've been using Nails for Males since it came on the market a number of years ago. I agree with the other guys here--it's nice to have something that isn't over-the-top shiny, but still makes your nails look finished. I've had other guys (at work mostly) ask me about it, and when I've told them about it, they've tried it, and seem to like it too.

Like most guys, I wish I didn't have to use anything for my fingernails. But mine have no strength. They break or tear and always looked ragged. I guess I have bad nail genes. This is the only nail hardening stuff I've found that doesn't shine. Every 2 or 3 days is enough. Nails look healthier, they're tougher and nobody is the wiser. It's a big improvement.

This is an outstanding product. Finally a nail polish men can use and not be "over the top".
Gives nails a well tended appearance, but not too frilly. I hope this product stays on the market.

As more and more men are getting manicures, it only makes sense to use an easily concealed nail care product that helps protect your nails against damage and drying out.

I have been using Nails for Males on my nails and I am a woman. It gives them a very natural, buffed look, instead of an obvious too shiny clear coat.
