This item has a great color to it which makes it normal looking when applied to the hair. It's only problem is that it does then to clump when applied. You have to apply it sparingly. The price is excellent.
Toppik> Organin, but Organin is cheaper.

Toppik is better, but Organin might be better if you are trying to save cash. Organin flakes off before you spread it around to attach to the hairs. Not bad though, stays on after that.

The Organic Hair thickeneing is a very good product. It is not messy and if I was asked to recommend it, I would
because I was very pleased with it.
Organin vs Toppik

I used Toppik for over a year, and last month I tried Organin, which actually made my hair look different.
I prefered Organin over Toppik for the following reasons:
1. It does not accumulate on the scalp, unlike Toppik
2. It gives my hair a shine; Toppik used to give a powdery look
3. Organin particles are finer, which makes them undetectable as applied to the hair
4. One can see through the Organin Can to get an idea of when to order next
5. When applied, it spreads homogeneously, unlike Toppik
Only one disadvantage is that this product does not stay on the hair if taken a head-bath(with no shampooing); and same thing with Toppik
I would rate this product excellent if it sticks to the hair until shampoo is applied.
great product

Organin hair thickening fiber workes for me very well. The median brown color is perfect for my hair shade. It does tend to come off easily, but the results are not affected, and I don't even use a hair spray to keep it in place. It is also less expensive compared to other similar products, which makes it even more attractive.
Just as good as Toppk

This product has given me the confidence to stop wearing wigs. I'm a 48 year old female whose hair began thinning on top 20 years ago. Last year I resorted to wigs since my scalp was so obvious. I first tried Toppik which worked just fine. Then I tried Organin since it is so much cheaper. It works just as well as Toppik and I actually think the regular brown color is more natural looking than the comparible Toppik brown. I feel like my old self again!

After a bout of anemia thinned my once beautiful hair, I could not adjust to the new thin hair (scalp showing) look. This product is both remarkable and easy to use.
Can be very helpful for the right people

I have bloack hair and show slight thinning on my crown so this product works very well for me if I use a small amount. You just have to learn not to use too much and it can make your hair look a lot thicker.
A Winner!

I purchased a bottle each of Organin and Toppik at the same time so I could try the both. They're both pretty comparable and AMAZING. None of my family or friends could tell even up close. Here's a comparison of both:
* COLOR - I have black hair and ordered the black in both. Organin had the darker, richer black, while Toppik was more of a dark grey. Toppik was also duller, while Organin had more life to it. Winner: Organin.
* APPLICATION & COVERAGE - Both are applied in the same way where you shake the bottle over the area needing coverage, then finish off with hairspray. The Toppik fibers are slightly heavier so they fell more evenly, but applying Organin was quicker because the fibers are darker and cover quicker. Winner: Tie.
* TEXTURE - Toppik fibers feel a bit grittier, while Organin's fibers are softer and kind of feel like lint. Once applied to the hair and finished with hairspray, Toppik hair feels more like hay while Organin hair feels softer to the touch. Winner: Organin.
* DURABILITY - This one was a toughy. Once finished with hairspray, both are pretty durable in that it'll only come off if you scratch ur head or touch your scalp (so, scratch gently!). Rain or a little water wasn't a problem. However, when I sweat it appeared that Toppik stayed better, while Organin pooled up. Organin's softer, lighter fibers also required more hairspray to keep in place. If you don't use any hairspray, the Toppik will stay on much better because their fibers are electrostatically charged, whereas the Organin fibers are not. Winner: Toppik.
I ultimately returned the Organin because the Toppik stayed on better when sweating, and it clung to the hair/scalp better without hairspray, and required less hairspray when I did used it. Organin would be better for those who don't sweat much, who want darker fibers, and is slightly more economical. Either way, both are winners and the confidence it's given me has been priceless!

Having tried both Toppik and Organin I have decided that, although it costs a little more, Toppik is the better product.
I totally recommend

It's hard to say...

It's really hard to say how I feel about this product. It's not the product that I want to comment on, but the concept itself. This product works like Troppix, but much less expensive. Yes, I agree that the holes could be smaller so that less will come out, but once you get the hang of it, you either 1-get good at it or 2-simply don't care. I've learned that after you wash and blow-dry your hair, put the product on and then comb through your hair without touching the scalp. This will make the fibers fall onto the scalp and less will come off of the actual hair that is there. The when you apply styling products, apply it only to the hair and don't touch the scalp. Although it may look good at home, outside is a different story. I'm just glad that my problem is on the back of my head so can't really see what's going on back there when I get outside. LOL. Oh well, no one has said anything and that can be for a number of reasons. This is the only product and/or concept that we have to accept unless we decide to go under the knife. And trust me, I have thought about it. If I only knew what my head looks like shaved without actually shaving it, all would probably be well. Bottom line, if used correctly and in certain lights, it really is invisible. Getting old sure does suck! Oh yeah, and remember, wipe your counters and floors with every use.
Fantastic Product and much better then Toppic

I have been using Organin for the last 1 yr. It's really good and would highly recommend this to women with thinning hair. I have really thick hair which began to thin in the front due to PCOS.Was really losing my confidence but after using this product I feel much better.

I think the product works very well. However sometimes it comes out of the container to fast. I think the holes should be smaller. I also think the site shouls provide links to permanent hair replacement sites for women. There seems to a ton for men but none for women.

i'm a woman who's been using this for a couple weeks now and really like it since it covers well and is pretty easy to throw on. i don't find it terribly messy and even if it flakes a bit, it's very easily wiped off. the only minus to these fiber products is you completely cover your part line, which i think looks sorta unnatural, unless you wear your hair in a way that you have no part, like many men (or your hair's in a ponytail). i try to remedy that problem by scratching _very_ carefully at the part to remove a little extra fibers...it seems to work.
too flaky.... not so funny when you scratch your head!

organin ...i purchased this product after i ran out of toppik... at first, i was really impressed... but then, i started to notice that the flakes wouldn't stick to my scalp - and yes, i used the hairspray recommended by toppik.... so, all in all, i have stopped using it and re-ordered toppik.... i do not recomend this product.
Very good, but 1 worry...

This is the first hair thickening fiber I've used, and it's helped a lot--it's so nice to not have people stare at you because you're a woman with thinning hair whose scalp is showing through. But I have one worry. When you shake it on your head, the fibers seem to float around in the air and I'm worried about inhaling them, as I don't know what they might do to your lungs with long-term use. Just today, I decided to put the container right next to my scalp and just gently shake it on, and that seemed to cut down on the number of fibers in the air. I see there are lots of other products to try, too, so I may do that, as the light brown color I got was kind of reddish, and my hair is paler brown and graying.

I really don't write reviews for anything but after being a Toppik user for 4 years I felt I had to. Organin is great. The color match (Black) is better than Toppik and it covers better also. The only draw backs are you have to use a good hair spray to keep it in place and the bottle (for me anyway) doesn't last as long as Toppik. But as far as doing the job it is supposed to do, I give it an A+.
