Organin has Good Hair Color Match

Since I switched from Toppik to Organin, I have been pleased with how well the color matches my own (dark brown). The fibers a more "clumpy" and not as natural-looking as Toppik. But, you don't lose as much of the fibers into the air as Toppik. Overall, the price is better and the color is good.

I bought this product in 2006 and just love it. With blonde hair you could see my scalp with my thinning hair. After I blow dry my hair I sprinkle some of this on, then spray hairspray on my hair, and wowwwwwwwwwwww its there for the day.. Everyone commends on my hair and no one knows I have a bad hair problem with thinning. Excellent product..

I have used this product for about 7 months and just received a new bottle. The packaging has changed for the worse - now the bottle is smaller and opaque and you have to shake the bottle very vigorously for the product to come out properly. I do really like this product and find that it covers thinning very effectively. I just wish I didn't have to work as hard with the new bottle. I hope the company goes back to the old packaging - the older version was easier to use. Looks I will be trying something different next time around.
Not as Good As Toppik

After a bumbpy start (they sent the wrong color) I tried Organin for the first time. Even though this is less expensive than the other you have to use more of the product with each application.
Would I recommend this product? Yes, it's OK - but of the two I would definitely recommend the Toppik!
Good product

My hair has been thinning in the front recently, and this product does a decent job of hiding it. If you know how to use it properly, you can make it look realistic without anyone noticing that you use products to hide your thinning. Sometimes I forget that I'm thinning while on this product so it really helps boost my self esteem. I'd say: best product to cover up any kind of thinning. This product will look fake if you do not know how to use it....Get in the habit of using it and you will learn how to use it like a champ. Thanks for this product...It's definitely a lifesaver!
It works great for me!

Before I decided to buy it I read some reviews and that helped me to decide to give it a try. As one person said, the color matches a lot better than the other products available; it's easy to apply, and yes, you don't need to put a lot. The cute bottle is transparent and cool looking. I am very satisfied with it!
Clumpy

doe's not cover well, particles are thick and clumpy and do not adhere well to the scalp, sometimes falling off your head.

I bought this based on other people's reviews and the reasonable price. It also looked just like a product called Hair So Real that I had gotten a while back. It works fine. I have my hair loss in the back and I comb my own hair over after shaking it onto the bare spots. I don't think it's at all noticeable. The only small problems I have are that the color is not just like my hair color, and it somes off when I lie on my back, which I see when I use exercise equipment. I'd recommend it and will probably continue to use it as long as it stays affordable.
Hated it!

I am a femail suffering from hair loss due to complications with PCOS. Any woman experiencing this knows how traumatizing this can be. So when I found a product at a fraction of the cost of Toppek, I was so excited. (Toppek worked wonderfully, I was just trying to save money)... HOWEVER... with Organin, the bottle clogs easily, the product doesnt pour out sufficently, and when you tap the sides to unclog it, it scatters all over the place. Plus, when you can get it out, it clumps and leaves a mess all over the sink, counter, and the floor. I will just spend the few extra dollars and purchas Toppek (which I loved!)

This product works just as well as Toppik does, except that there is a slight difference in color.I've been using medium brown with both brands and I noticed that the Toppik product is more natural to my hair color than this one.it seems to be a touch lighter, more like a light brown, but nevertheless it is a good product.
Camouflages relatively well but icky

This helps camouflage your scalp if it shows through your hair but application is tricky and takes practice. Must choose color carefully. Once you figure out how not to end up with a layer of powdery sediment on your clothes as well as your hair and scalp. Product may itch slightly and comes off in your fingernails if you scratch your scalp. Still, it reduces the gleam when you're under the lights and that's worth the trouble.
It worked PERFECTLY!

I had a hair transplant in the front to replace a receeding hairline (about 1-1/2 inches). They also fixed the "spot" in the back. Well, as they stated it took about 3 months to REALLY notice a full/fuller head of hair even though it started growing back in after about 2 months. It is still about 3 months away from the total result. I am very happy with the results of the hair transplant, but the transplant does not always give you a THICK head of hair, and mine is still thickening up and growing. That is why I decided to try this product. Well, it works, and it works excellently. I would recommend it to anyone! Whether you decide to have a hair transplant or not, it should work fantastic for anyone. I simply pulled the paper back only 1/2 way from the holes to have more control with the dispenser. After practicing about 3 times (each time got better)I was thrilled with the results. Remember that LESS is MORE! The first couple of times, I overdid it! Don't do that. You are better off to use less product even if leaving some of your scalp show through. In other words, do not saturate your scalp and hair. It is not necessary, and you should get an excellent result. I would recommend not using it up front to the edge of your hairline as it can seem a little much. However, on the back and top, it is great. I combined this with a little Couvre for the front hairline as it gives you more control and you can "dab" it off and adjust it better for your "CLOSEUP." Both products work excellent for filling in, and the color is great. That is not easy to find for us "ash blond" "redhead" types.

I am so glad I found Folica and Organin. I had been a faithful user of Toppik for 9 years thinking they were the only option. While their product served me well, their customer service is horrible. The last product they shipped me was defective, but instead they tried to put the blame on me and argued with every point I made. This led me to search for an alternative...and I FOUND IT! The Organin product is at least as good, possibly even better, and more affordable as well. It creates a softer and shinier result as well. Thanks Folica ! You have a new customer !
Organin's colors are much better than Toppik's

I am a 37 year old female who has been experiencing hair loss since my mid-twenties. I started using Toppik a few years ago, but was never quite happy with the color match. I have medium brown hair that I sometimes highlight, and Toppik's medium brown was too dark with a greenish tint in the sunlight, and the light brown was too light. On a whim I tried Organin for the first time a couple of months ago (the medium brown color) and WOW! I was VERY impressed with the color - a true medium brown with no weird green tint. And Organin looks a lot more natural. It has a nice shine to it and is not powdery looking like Toppik. I do find that Organin is a bit messier than Toppik, but overall I like it sooooo much better. And the lower price is a bonus, too!
Not bad

I am a black female with relaxed hair (straightened hair). I found that this product is pretty close to my hair texture and definitely thickens or gives the illusion of thicker hair. HOwever, I tested it on my friends hair, a white girl brunette, and the texture didn't blend as well but she could probably fool some people (I noticed it but that could be b/c I knew she was wearing it). I found that the color black was very very black, a bit too black. The dark brown color was a very natural looking dark brown and blended very well. I also tested it on my black male friend with a balding/receeding hairline. It looked great! But one swipe with the finger and it was gone from his forehead. In conclusion and in my opinion, this product works best on black thining hair, not a bald head, and not silky shiney hair. This product doesnt have a significant shine to it. It may work on 'balding' hair so long as the area is not great. Remember, it sticks to hair not skin.
