Product Rating: 4 Pretty good little system
Reviewer: Anne Siloy from Berea, Ohio  Mon Jun 26 2006

Hate plucking and shaving so my daughter and I decided to give this a try.
The BEST advise we can give "newbies" is to follow the directions, especially tipping the bottle to get the bubbles out and peeling the paper parallel to the skin. Don't tear UP! Your skin will come too. (That's what happened to people who had redness and scarring)
It isn't a perfect system, but it's the best we've found so far. We've mastered eyebrows and other facial areas, (looks better than any salon has ever done it) and now working with legs and bikini areas. (A little more chicken about that!)

Product Rating: 4 Perfect for home use...

I bought this for my daughters, and they love it! One uses it for lip/eyebrows, the other for arms/bikini area. We had been using a larger warmer with tub wax, and it is so messy and difficult to control. This works like a dream! Wax goes on in a nice thin layer,(be sure to apply at 45 degree angle), and removes hair on the first try. We have no problem with clogging. Clean up isn't too bad. Be sure to read the directions.

This product is ok if you use it properly. Don't try it on looong hair and/or course hair. The thing I didn't like with this wax (that usually happens even if I pay to get this done) is it left the skin on my face splotchy. I do not recommend tanning prior to use of this product. For me it litterly pealed off my tan above my eyebrows, upper lip, and so forth, leaving my face covered with uneven embarrassing tones. (You could litterly tell where I waxed.) Just be extra careful and read the entire instruction manuel if you decide you just can't live without it.

Product Rating: 5 I love it.

I hate shaving, and the older I get the more shaving tears my legs.

I had no problem with this waxing kit. It will take practice, but for a 1st timer I think I did a great job. To my surprise it hurt less to do my bikini area then my legs. LOL

Any way, I recommend this product highly, and consider it a great leg saver. Also I just get the product a few weeks ago and used it right away, and am just now starting to see hair again. Wonderful.

Product Rating: 1 sticky mess

i'm a 14 year old girl, and have just started shaving my legs. i started using a razor at first, but i found that my hairs grew back way too quickly, and so i proceeded to hair removal cream, however, this i found innafective (even using nair!) and it smelt awful. so then my mum found me ONE TOUCH PERSONAL ROLL ON WAX. i was really happy as looking at other reviews, this seemed to work well. so my mum helped me. we began by heating up the wax and when that had finished, i put it on using the rolly lid, and cut up the special paper to take the wax off with. the wax wasn't to hot so all was good. then i had to rip the papery thing off my leg, and this wasn't painful, but lots of hairs were left on my leg. so i did the same part again ( as it said to do.) however, this time when i took off the paper, a huge rash appeared all over that section. my leg turned red, but it said this would happen so i continued. by now the wax was turning sticky, and it started to go everywhere. all over my hands, on my legs, arms, and even my rug. but i continued until it was too sticky to continue. i couldn't touch anything, and worse still, every where i had waxed there was still hairs! also, i noticed that only a few of my hairs that HAD come off were taken out my the roots, all the others were just ripped off at the top. i found this product inneffective, way too time consuming and very sticky, and i will not be using it again.

Product Rating: 5 The best I've every used

I use this wax in my salon and it works great! You just need to know how to use it properly. First, before you use it, hold it at a 45 degree angle and wait for the bubbles to come up to ensure that the wax is on the roller head. Then, between each use place it back in the heater while removing the wax to keep it warm. When you're finished use the Clean and Easy Remove on one of the woven strips to remove the wax only on the top of the roller (the rest of the wax will easily warm up during your next use). Be sure to apply a small amount of pressure with your finger after removing the strip to keep the skin from bruising. Also keep the area very clean, especially around your eyes.

I have used this product for at least 5 years. My first one broke (from my handling) so I'm replacing it. It is the best product for me personally. It works if you follow the directions and let it warm up enough. I highly recommend this as an alternative to going to a salon! It's not hard at all to use!

Product Rating: 5 Love it
Reviewer: suzanne from santa monica, california  Thu May 11 2006

I have been using this product for years, and I love it. I think I've tried just about everything out there, and this isn't too gooey, difficult, painful or just generally aggravating. I don't like the waxers that get everywhere and end up stuck on your fingers or furniture. This is easy to use and they include plenty of the muslin strips. I can't say enough good things about this product. My local Rite Aid stopped carrying the wax refills, so I went on a desperate search through the internet and found them here at the best price. You will like this.

Product Rating: 5 Only waxer that I've used that works on coarse hair
Reviewer: Julie from Baltimore, MD  Mon Apr 24 2006

I LOVE this waxing system. I used to be able to get the refills at Rite Aid so now I'm searching for them throughout the Baltimore area. I only use this on my legs though. I've tried the bikini area - but I'm just not that flexible and need another set of hands:) For the people who have burned themselves etc., you need to be careful with any heated wax.

Product Rating: 4 Easy to use waxer!
Reviewer: anonymous from Phoenix, Arizona  Mon Mar 06 2006

I love this roll-on waxer. The only problem is that you really need to keep the roller on the heater as much as possible because otherwise it becomes hard to roll-on the wax. I would recommend purchasing refills initially as well. The wax can go so quickly.

Product Rating: 5 This system beats shaving!
Reviewer: anonymous from Sunny Central Florida  Thu Oct 13 2005

I've used this product and system for many years, and now I only need to wax my legs once or twice a month. It's important to follow the directions for best results, including making sure there is no oil or lotion on your skin before waxing, and that the wax is sufficiently heated before applying. I get better results when I use muslin cloth strips (available at most beauty supply stores) instead of the paper strips in the package. I've tried many other products and brands, and none of them work as well as this one. I highly recommend this product!

This product burned my skin and left my skin but a scar above my eye. I even returned the product.

Product Rating: 3 Won't buy again

The wax get cold to fast. You have to continuously put it back in heater. The hair does not come off easily. The roller head is a %$@#& to clean. I will not buy this product again. I would like my money back.

Product Rating: 2 One Touch Personal Waxer
Reviewer: Ann E. from Culpeper, VA  Thu Aug 18 2005

I purchased a One Touch system 20 years ago and wanted to replace the warming container, as well as replenish my wax and paper supply. I found the wax in this system to be inferior to my prior purchases. I was unable to remove hair as I have previously done. I have gone back to using the remnants from my other system and hope I can find some better wax in the future.

Product Rating: 4 Great Product if You Use it Correctly
Reviewer: Nancy from Boston  Fri May 13 2005

I have been using the One-touch personal roll-on waxer for years. I haven't been able to find the refills at my local CVS or Walgreens for some time now but finally found them on folica.com. The product works really well if you let the wax heat up properly (I usually wait 50 minutes). Once it is very hot, the wax rolls on well. I cut the strips to fit the areas I am waxing and that works well for me. You have to use an oil (the one they provide or baby oil) to get any excess wax off when done but that's easy. Overall, the product does work very well if you practice and learn how to use it. It gets my vote and is a lot cheaper than waxing salons!

Product Rating: 2 not as good as I hoped
Reviewer: cedar   Fri Apr 15 2005

This looked like a good product and one that would work, but the quality make wasn't impressive and the roll on dispensers, as good of an idea as they are, didn't work. If i warm up the wax in the heater i can apply it from the bottle and it works, but it's too much of a hassle. try another product.

Product Rating: 2 Personal roll on waxer
Reviewer: alex   Fri Mar 11 2005

Very dissapointed. I was only able to get the rollers to work 1 time. I tried all the problem solving tips and still unable get it to work. Only good thing I have to say is the wax was very light and easy to remove with very little pain. The product would be good if only the rollers worked!

Product Rating: 4 Great Product

I've been using my One Touch waxer for over 3 years. I use it on my eyebrows and upper lip. What I do is take the cap off the large wax and dip a toothpick or orange stick (that is normally used to push back cuticles) for PRECISION application. It's very effective! Also--the rollers won't get all gunked up.
This waxer basically paid for itself in 2 uses.
Just be brave that first time--after that--it's easy as pie.

Product Rating: 5 Been using it for ten years!
Reviewer: Tricia from Washington, DC  Tue Feb 15 2005

I love this waxing system! I've tried nair, sugar wax, stovetop wax, cold wax: this is the best for legs! Very easy, very quick. The only downside is: wax isn't thick enough for underarms & bikini. But it's wonderful for legs!

Product Rating: 4 One Touch Roll On Waxer
Reviewer: Meshia from Toledo, Ohio  Fri Feb 11 2005

I find it to be very economical versus going to the salon at $11.00 an area for waxing. The larger Roll on Waxer is great for legs! The smaller waxer head tends to get gunky but does work. Overall, I am pleased about this purchase.
