I have the poofiest ,thickest hair! This one leaves it soft and shiny. I own a CHI and it does work but I feel like this one doesn't "fry" it as much . The only down side is that it needs to come in a 2 inch, simply too small for all my hair.

I just bought this at Trade Secrets last night. A girl i work with just straightened my hair with it ( slightly damp) in less than 30 minutes..and my hair was curly and unbrushed ( my hair is past my shoulders). I previously bought a TRUE CERAMIC PRO iron from the shopping channel..absolute crap and it was metal covered in ceramic paint! This iron is waaaay better than that and I have never in my life had my hair go from curly and unbrushed to very straight and smooth in 30 minutes...ever! And it has a 10 year warranty. I would recommend this to everyone! When the girl let me try it last night at the store i could not get my hair curly again..even after i put some bedhead product she gave me from the store! it stays straight til you wash it!

I have used every kind of straightener out there and I am sad that I didn't find this one sooner. The quality of this straightener is outstanding and would reccomend this to anyone. It doesn't matter if you have thick wavy curly or fine hair!! The tempuratures on this come is various degrees and my hair has never looked or felt better!! IT'S GREAT!! I LOVE IT!

This has got to be the best flat iron out there thus far. I've owned several flat irons and surprisingly this one is my favorite. I love the fact that you can adjust the temperature. I'm so happy about this purchase!

I thought that this flat iron was pretty good but not as good as it could be for the money. I have had Sedus in the past and I felt that they straighten better but are not very durable (if you drop a Sedu even once, you start breaking off the cheap plastic housing that holds the flat plates in place).
I have baby fine wavy hair but I have a lot of it and it is pretty long, so it takes me a long time to straighten. I felt that this iron did not get as hot as others, even on the highest setting of 400F it seemed nowhere near as hot as others I have tried at lower settings. I liked that it really glided through my hair effortlessy and did not seem to clamp down too hard or tug, rip, or break my hair. However, I just had to use the iron on very small sections at a time and go over them several times to get them anywhere near straight and that was after I had already semi-straightened the hair with a blow drier. I hope the 10 year warranty is not a hassle because I could see this iron losing even more heat over time and needing to send it in for repair.

When my CHI broke after two years of use, I thought I might try an upgrade in hair straightener. This one is $80 more than my CHI, but worked only half as good. It does work alright, and if you have thin or wavy hair it would be just fine, but I have very thick, very curly hair, and this striaghtener did not stand up to the job the way my CHI did. I returned this and got GHDs instead. and boy am I glad I did!

Ive had this flat iron for about 2 years now, and the first couple months it worked great! now.. it doesnt flatten my hair as well anymore, and i have to go over it couple times to keep it straight. also even at the beginnin of owning it i had to go over sections of my hair a couple times.. So its an Alriht straightener but i would choose something different

This flat iron is a godsend..my boyfriend was mesmerized when he saw the magic this flat iron worked on my hair. Heats up in no time and LEAVES YOUR HAIR BONE STRAIGHT!!..im speechless. WOW is all i can say. The best hair product i've ever used!

WOW..WOW..WOW. i don't know where to start..THIS FLAT IRON IS ABSOLOUTLEY AMAZING!...Listen up people..this flat iron should be getting alot more attention..Tourmaline is an amazing company which manufactures the worlds best flat irons..such as the sedu..but the new Metropolis T-Ion Tourmaline flat iron is sure to become just as wll known. ITS SIMPLY HEAVENLY..i had a ceramic straightner which i bought from a salon..it left my hair disgustlingly crispy..the only reason your hair looks the way it does when you get done it the salon..is beacause of the mass amountn of products they also put in your hair..well I for one..dont have the time or money to go to an expensive salon every weekend..WELL YOU WONT EVER NEED TO GO TO A SALON AFTER USING THIS FLAT IRON!!!..itz A-M-A-Z-I-N-G..thank god my old flat iron broke. My gut told me to buy this one..I heard it was an amazing flat iron from many of my friends. Let me tell you..it left my hair RIDICULUOSLY striaght...it lasts for such a long time...and with the new technology used on the ceramic plates..frizzy hair and fly away'z are a thing of the past. This straightner is amazing. I've owned many ceramic hair straightners before but this one takes the cake. I have thick curly hair and other ceramic staightners left my hair looking totally fried, but this hair striaghtner makes my hair look soft, smooth and silky! I LOVE IT! It heats up in about 2 minutes! It never leaves my hair feeling dry or unhealthy because of the amazing new technology they use on the plates! I would tell anyone who was thinking of buying this hair straightners to go for it!!! It's worth every penny, and with the 10 year warrently what do you have to worry about?

Bought this at Trade Secrets. I should first say that my hair is very thick and coarse, such that hairdressers always, always comment on it, kind of in a complaining tone, because it means a lot of work for them washing, blowdrying and flat-ironing.
At first I was disappointed that it doesn't straighten my hair on the first run-through. We all want that magic device, I guess. Definitely needs 2-3 run-throughs over each section. But the results are fabulous. Really straight, really shiny and soft. My old ceramic (non tourmaline, non ionic) flat iron used to leave my hair kind of "crispy". Not this one!
The design is good too. No snagging your hair on poorly finished ends. It heats up really quickly too. A very good buy.
Never go cheap again

I have spent the last few years of my life buying cheap flat irons every year, I got really sick of having partially straight and frizzy hair and decided it was time to buy a quality iron. There were so many to choose from, but my gut said to try this one and I was right to follow my gut instinct. This flat iron leaves my hair smooth and shiny all day long, I don't have to worry about what my hair will look like half way through the day. I have a lot of hair and it's very long and with the great heat and quality of this iron it only take me about 10 minutes to get all my hair done. This product is worth every penny.
