Just another dandruff shampoo

This shampoo is a little runny and feels like you have to use a lot to cover the scalp. I don't really feel like it does much more than other dandruff shampoos.

This shampoo definitely does the job. I had seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp and after following the instructions on the bottle my problem was gone after two weeks. I literally could feel it working on my scalp after the first application. I have never had a problem with dandruff, but i would recommend this to anyone who does or is experiencing problems with their scalp. The smell isn't that bad, but if you want to tone it down, I suggest shampooing once with a scented shampoo.

To my surprise, my dandruff (which has been over a year)has virtually gone. I believe the shampoo does perform its job perfectly. Other than its strong medicine smell, this is the SOLUTION! Your scalp may feel kinda warm & a bit irritated in the beginning.

I HAVE BEEN USINGT DEMI DAN SHAMPO FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND IT STILL WORKS. I WILL TRY SOMETHING ELSE AND ALWAYS GO BACK TO MEDI DAN. IT LEAVES THE HAIR SHINNEY AND SQUEAKY CLEAN.

I have had dandruff ever since I was a teeenager and I have tried almost every anti-dandruff shampoo and nothing has work. I started using Medi Dan and just in the first use I could already see a difference. I have been using it for 3 weeks now and I love it. This has been the only product that has worked.

This product works great. Most dandruff shampoos do not work so great for me, but this one does. You need to use it a few times a week, but it will work.
It works for me if I use it often.

I have had dandruff, off and on, for 40 years. During the past year, my dandruff and itching has become pretty intense. I believe it is due to a medication I am taking. None of the well-known shampoos have worked at all. After using Medidan for 4 days in a row, the flaking seemed to improve and the itching was not quite so bad. For some reason, I stopped using it for a few days. The flaking and itching returned just as bad as before. I beleive that if I use this shampoo every day, my flaking and itching will be greatly improved. But like all tar shampoos, it has a pungent odor. Even if you use a regular shampoo after using this one, you can still smell the tar. And this shampoo doesn't "lather up" very well. So, you tend to use a lot of it. I use about 1 ounce each time. My 16 ounce bottle will be used up in no time. It does not smell good and it doesn't lather very well. But, it does seem to work.

I tried this product after reading the reviews. I am satisfied with it. The itching and scalp soreness has decreased. I found out that it was exzema and not seborrheic dermatitis, but, this product has still helped a great deal.
The smell is not as bad as some reviews stated. I describe it as a strong, clean smell. I got two bottles and intend on using them both.

I have found that of all the dandruff shampoos, this one works. My son has been to dermotologists and had expensives serums/oils to massage in his head and he would still have the dandruff. He definitely likes this shampoo and it has truly helped him out!

The product is better than MOST OTC preparations found in retail stores of various kinds. It is even better when used in conjunction with Apple Cider Vinegar to adjust the pH.

I just write what the label reads:
"This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harms."
I really don't dare to use my of this product since I am scared of loosing my health to this, probably it is going to be a good drain cleaner!

This product rocks. It works well and we seen results the first time. My husband has psorisis and nothing has worked except this product. We have tried them all, T-Gel, Neutorgena anti dandruff, head and shoulders, and all of the salon products and nothing works this well. The only thing is the smell but i use Medi Dan first and then wash with Nioxen shampoo and conditioner, you cant smell it after you wash with another product.

This is the ONLY product that knocks out the dander, and I've used them all. You can use every two days, and make one bottle last 2-3 months! Well worth the price, and Folica's shipping is excellent.

I've tried a whole bunch of different Salon shampoos that were supposed to work as well, but none even come close to working like this one. It doesn't smell good, but since it stops the horrible itching, it doesn't matter. I only need to use it once a week. I've been using it for over 10 years and I'm glad that folica.com carries it because no local beauty supply stores carry it.

I was getting tired of trying different products. This one really works. It's not as smelly as some of the other reviews led me to believe. I only had to use it a couple of times before I saw a difference. I now use it twice a week and it keeps the dandruff under control. A little goes a long way. This is a good value.

What more can be said. I've used dandruff shampoos that promise to get rid of flakes. They all seem to work but none of them took care or the itching. This product is the only shampoo that dealt with the itching after the first two applications. After that I only use it seasonally when the itching starts about once every week or two. One bottle can last for several years.
I found that if I first shampoo my hair with a regular shampoo first, then use MediDan second, I can get a better lather with less shampoo. Rinse well with cool water and then use a fragrant conditioner addresses the odor.

The formula works great but the scent leaves a lot to be desired. If I had to choose between lots of flakes and a medicine smell, I'd have to pick smelly any day.

I've been using Medi Dan since 1979, best shampoo I've found for itching and dandruff control, it isn't perfect but certainly does the job.

I've used tgel and a few other products, and this beats them all. Even though it has, for the most part, the same ingredients, it seems to keep my scalp really clear. great stuff, good price, and not much else to say about it.
