this is not a very good product! my opinion is that hot tools straightner is a lot beter.It does too burn your head.My advice to you is to not get this straightner.

This product does exactly as it states. It leaves hair very straight, shiny and soft. It is user-friendly. I love the way my hair feels after I have used the unusual feature of steam. The combination of steam and heat leaves my hair in better condition than before I straightened it. The video was a very conveinent tool, it was to the point and easy to follow.

I absolutely love this iron. The only thing is that I have very long curly hair, so it takes a longer than 10 or 15 minutes to straighten. I love to use it on my daughters. Leaves hair nice and silky and last for days. It's also nice to apply a little friz-ease to the hair before you straighten it. Leaves it more shiny. Definitely brush your hair with the the maxi hair brush. Help the hair go through. If you have split ends, do yourself a favor and get them trimmed. You will have better results.

I can not belive that I feel into the trap that this was an easy product. I found it to be very bunky never realy got my hair straight and broke not even a year after i purchased it. I purchased the sedu and I am in love it is everything it says

I not only bought one but my sister and daughter tried it when they were at my house and now they both own one. I have owned 3 straightners and none compare to this one

I love the Maxiglide straightener. I have never sent in a review for anything, but I think this product is amazing and I am surprised more people don't know about it. I was going to cut my hair very short after bleaching it several times because of the condition it was in. Thanks to Maxiglide my hair is soft, shiny, and still long. I have never been this satisfied with any product. I couldn't live without it.

This product is the best!! We've tried many straighteners but had no success. They never really heated or produced the desired results until maxiglide. I'd recommend it to everyone. Thanks

Maxiglide is awesome. I've been using it for several months now and it works wonders. My hair dresser asked me to bring it along next time I get my hair cut since I told her about it. I can't wait to share.

ok ive tried so many different types of straighteners and they damaged my hair so much. so i saw this infomerical for the maxiglide and decided to try it out. well ive been using it for about 3 months now and my hair has never been better. it doesnt damage my hair at all and the steamer is perfect. i always urge my friends to buy the straighterner and most of my friends have and they love it

I received my MaxiGlide October 2005 and it did a pretty good job until it broke in December 2005; one side no longer heats and the water drips out of it. And no matter what the infomercial says, it DOES burn you; I've burned my scalp and forehead various times....it's a good thing I have bangs to cover-up the burns.
I love my hair now

I learned about maxi-glide from my hairdresser (she was using it on my hair). I was using a flat iron and really liked it but with maxi glide my hair comes out perfect every time. It takes half the time that my flat iron did because you don't have to style yor hair with the blow dryer as well the flat iron. Maxi glide does that for you. I never like my hair but now I have the hair I have always wanted. I have my whole family using it. I just wish it was around in my teenage years when I fought with my hair constantly. The next time I went to the salon all the hairdressers there had them.

I WAS ACTUALLY DISAPPOINTED. IT DIDN'T STRAIGHTEN MY CURLY HAIR INTO SHINY, LUSTROUS STRANDS, LIKE IN THE COMMERCIALS.

This straightener is the best I have seen! I bought it for my daughter as a gift and she uses it every day. She has thick curly hair and was ruining it using regular straighteners. With the Maxiglide, her hair is shiny and beautiful. Well worth the money and it does everything they say it does!

My hair is sooooo curly that it would take me forever to straighten my hair and then after 2 hours of working on it it would curl right back up when I stepped in a club or in humid weather. Now as long as my hair is dry before I straighten it with my maxi glide it stays straight for days with only minor touchups here and there. Not only that it now takes me 20-30 mins to do it. I rave about my maxi glide so much my friends are like you sound like a commerical but I just help it, I love it that much. You really need to the get the product that go with it too. The maximus beyond straight it really helps to keep it straight without fuzzing up!

I was really enthusiastic to purchase this styling tool because I insist on using only ceramic straightening irons and only those which have a comb attachment along the edge -- an asset I consider a 'must-have.' This iron was a complete dud -- didn't get very hot, plates did not close flush so that the hair was not properly heated, and the pins just seemed to get in the way. I had really high hopes, but my expectations were completely dashed. The worst hair straightening tool I have ever experienced (and the only one that I ever returned).

I was skeptical to buy this product. I have coarse naturally curly frizzy hair. Once I received the Maxiglide and tried it, it worked really great on my hair type. I will probably never have to use a chemical straightener again!!!!!!!!!

I have 3 daughters, all bi-racial; they are mixed, Caucasian and African American. They have very course hair and NOTHING would really straighten their hair except a good relaxer which would only last for a little while and it was very expensive to get it relaxed. I got the Maxiglide, used it, and we were shocked how well it worked. I had never seen anything like it. The pins really make alot of sense to me because they really do straighten each strand of hair instead of just flattening the hair. It lasted all week. Didn't have to use it again until this last weekend when I washed their hair.
The only bad thing about this is they advertise it won't burn your scalp, but it does get very hot on the sides and if touched to the scalp, it will burn. My daughters feel the burn at times and I just tell them beauty is pain at times! Regardless, this is an amazing product that I would definately recommend to those with very course hair that is hard to manage.

MAXIGLIDE Flat Iron is the best hair straightener I've used. I have thick curly coarse hair and Maxiglide made my hair straight, more manageable, soft and shinny. It looks beautiful!!! I LOVE IT !!!

ok i wish i had pictures for you but i dont all i can say is that i am so happy with this straightener. I even offer to straighten all of my cousins hair with it because it is so good. We all have different types of hair and it still works great. I have the worst hair, it is impossible to wash and wear, i cant even twist my hair after washing because it is that bad. I need some kind of heat to manage. I used to have a whole bunch of straighteners and always had to put them on the highest setting and go over my hair one day and then do it the next in order to get it somewhat straight. I got the maxiglide and it was AMAZING. I used to take 2-3 hours out of my day to straighten my hair and now it only takes 30 min. I must admit that it seems bulky but i have gotten used to it. The stream is great. The pins basically act like a comb to me so anything that gets caught in those was gonna come out of my hair anyway. i have had it for 3 months now.
Advice: this is not like any other straightener. the setting is from 1-10. Since I usually use the highest setting i started with 10, then went to 8 and it still straightened great. Then my hair in the back broke off. THIS IS NOT THE MAXIGLIDE'S fault at all. this was simply poor management of my hair and over straightening. I just found out today that i could get my hair decently straightened on the setting #3. I had it on 8. way too high, experiment with the setting is my advice. Oh and by the way i am african american and i have not permed my hair in over 5 years. this is the only thing that helps and doesnt damage as much for me. Heat=damage, so i think it should be expected to an extent. It worked for me.

I had hair that was slightly shorter-than-shoulder length, super curly and frizzy (in other words big), and to top it off, red. All I needed was big shoes and face paint. I already owned a Con-Air straightener that only made my hair seem dry and brittle, and not really straight either. After seeing the TV infomercial for the Maxiglide, I decided to cough up the extra dough and try it out. WOW. WOW. WOW. In half the time my hair was smooth, SHINY, and flat as a board. I could not have been happier with the results.
