THE BEST HAIR STRAIGTENER

I first saw a television advertisement for Maxiglide Hair Straightener on a home buying channel. As most consumers, I felt skeptical about its performance, but not for long! The hair stylist asked women with all types of hair to use the tool by themselves. The results were phenomenal! Curly, course, frizzy, thick, no matter what, this product delivered and then some! Although I was impressed, I thought perhaps the women had used some sort of hair serum beforehand in order to end up with that silky mane. Still, I decided to take a chance and ordered one for my daughter for Christmas 2004. I am absolutely astonished each time she uses this tool. She had long, thick, curly hair. When she is finished with Maxiglide, her hair is pin straight (although sometimes she doesn't make it perfectly straight). Her hair is very silky. I also use it on days when I don't want my hair curly. This product is unconditionally priceless to us. I am so happy that I gambled that evening I saw the television ad. Long live Maxiglide!

This straighter really works. It is very easy to use. I have gotten so many compliments on how nice my hair looks...thanks to the Maxiglide. I highly recommend this product. I am a very happy customer!!!

OMG!!i mean c´mon i had this thing for about a ittle more than half a year and i loved it i mean its actually a straightner that works.. Let me ask u a question´¨How many times do u come along a straightner that works good on ur hair¨ and then i brought it to peru thinking it was gonna be easy to straighten my hair over there but when we plugged it in it worked fine until the thing started to everheat and started to burn SO....now since theres a one year warranty im gonna get a new one and this time im keeping it in the U.S.....actually u know wat im keeping this one in TEXAS

I loved it. I was kind of worried about trying it because I have thick, natural, black hair. I first saw it when my roommate was using it (she is Caucasian). She told me to try it and that it would work on my hair because it worked on hers. But her's was thin, not like mine. I tried it and low and behold it got so straight. I used to have to straighting my hair with the pressing comb. But with this it is so much better. I take longer to do my hair then she does, granted it's thicker. But it is worth the time, no more pressing combs for me.

I have long (past my waist)super curly super thick red hair. Usually I wear it in a bun as it can get overwhelming. When I wear it down it is beautiful ring curls(for awhile - then it grows into a huge rats nest of snarls and frizzyness). Some days I see those with straight hair and want to have it...just for a day. So I saw the ad for the Maxiglide and thought - what the heck. I have never straightened my hair before,I have no idea how to use a straightener or any tricks to get it the way that it looks on others. I am impatient... So I got the Maxiglide in the mail and had to try it....first- there is no way to get a comb through my hair when it is dry. I can't remember the last time that even brushed my hair...It is that curly. So I bought a comb and proceeded to comb small sections of my hair then run through the Maxiglide. I couldn't do the back of own hair. I tried and it took me two hours to do all my hair...and by the end I was being lazy and taking bigger and bigger chucks and running them through. When I was done - I looked like I had a pyramid on my head. It was still really thick and looked a way lighter color - more orange than red. My sister who has wavey red hair - uses a straightener all the time ... she is going to help me and see if it is possible for me to have straight hair for a day (or even a few hours)

I must say this flat iron is not worth the money! Im glad I didnt pay full price, (I got a discount at my job), because it does not live up to its reputation. I have very curly hispanic hair, and yes it straightned my hair, but my hair was still poofy, the ends were frayed, and I had to go go over it with another flat iron. Simply said it does not do the job, I switched to the Solia and it is AMAZING!!

I a have bought 5 and all have broke on one side it stop heating up. I bought 1 at HSN 2 and BEd and bath 2 at LInend and things. Good product if it lasted. Never lasted morethan 3 months
Pulled hair, still frizzy, and MELTED!!!

I bought this after using my bi-racial cousin's once and loving it. That must've been a really good hair day that day, because once I got mine, unless I put WAY too much product in my hair, it just frays my hair, which means that the hair care product is working and the straightener is NOT. Then, after having it for about 1 month, IT MELTED!!! Yes, melted. I also bought the mini glide which does absolutely nothing but nothing. I'm going to be returning these pronto. Soooooooooooooooo sad and dissapointed.

There are no words to decribe this product .......it true to its word as they say on the infirmercial .....im glad i purchased it....i threw my 4 others away ...not even close ....it really is an excellent product. It was worth every penny and more ...i recommended this product to all my friends and family

I have the thickest curliest hair in the world, not to mention the frizz that takes over in certain weather situations. I have always had a hard time getting my hair very straight, and if it were to come out right, it would take at least 2-3 hours! Maxiglide gets the job done in about 15-20 minutes, no problems.I love it and definitely recommend it to others.

I had previously purchased this product on television. However, after much use and a few years later, I needed to buy another one. I looked everywhere for this hair straightener. Finally I found it on Folica.com. The price, the service, and the experience was GREAT!!! I would HIGHLY recommend Folica in the future! Thanks!

Well, Once I Got The Maxiglide, I Was Pshyced! I Just It Once I Go It. It Have Me Good Results But Not The Kind I Really Wanted. I Kept It In Perfect Condition. But Only A Few Months Later, It Took 25 Minutes To Heat Up And A Month Later The Top Of The Maxiglide Didn't Heat Up THEN Once I Pressed The Blue Button On THe Top, Water Would Soak Out From The Straightener And Onto My Skin. And It Was VERY HOT WATER! And I Never Clamped It Shut, I Let It " Glide " Through My Hair But It Would Still Rip Out My Hair! Ouch!! And I Would Have To Clean It Alot Because Dirt Would Build Up Into Those Little Pin Things.
I RECOMMEND NOT TO BUY THIS PRODUCT. I DON'T EVEN HAVE COURSE CURLY HAIR. I HAE NORMAL WAVY HAIR AND IT STILL DIDN'T WORK! DON'T BUY IT IT'S A WASTE OF MONEY!!!!

This straightener does not work at all! I was psyched when I first bought it. But after using it only once, I noticed that it does not straighten hair very well and it leaves the ends frizzy. Not to mention, it leaves your hair smelling burnt. It's heavy and VERY hard to use. It looks so easy on the infomercial, but its not. I hate this product and I recommend that you do not buy it. I have since bought CHI and it does wonders on my hair.

I was not impressed with Maxiglide. I have long, thick, wavy hair. It took me over twice as long to straighten my hair with Maxiglide and the result was semi-straight and frizzy-- definately not smooth or silky. The Ceramic Wigo straightening iron and the Hai straightening iron both worked MUCH better on my hair type and in half the time (Plus, the Wigo and Hai are not as expensive). I was definately disappointed in the results of the Maxiglide.

I liked Maxiglide at the biggining although it was not east to use than I expected. Kinda too heavy and your sculp would get burned so easily unlike its commercial. Anyway, it suddenly broke. I don't know what happened to it. So now I decided to try Sedu instead of buying another Maxiglide to see how it works.
This thing is GREAT!!

Nothing straightens my hair like the Maxiglide! I like to wash my hair the night before and let it dry naturally. My wavy wild out of control hair is no problem for the Maxiglide. In less than 15 minutes I look like I spent 45 minutes in a salon getting a blowout! Seriously. I have bought several flat irons, products, etc. Nothing works like the combination of steam and those little pins! Thanks Maxiglide!

I used my friends and it was horrible.It didn't straighten my hair at all.I don't even have curly hair it's just wavy and still it didn't straighten.So my oppinion is that you should waste your money on it.Also if you have hair like mine Vidal Sassoon gold series straighteners work very well.And not to mention they're cheap!

Upon my husband's request, I ordered Maxiglide about 1 year ago. When I go to the hair dresser and she straightens my hair with a ceramic straightener, it always looks great! However, when I try to achieve that same look at home, I fail. What I saw on HSN was exactly what I experienced in my bathroom! It's easy to use, gentle on my hair [my hairdresser tells me what strong, healthy hair I have] but most of all, it straightens my hair, removing the heavy wave I have, to make it totally straight. Thanks so much for an absolutely awesome product that I can actually use myself!
Great but stops working after 3 months

We are getting ready to return our second maxiglide that stopped working after only 3 months. The first one lasted 6 months. The iron is great but it is very irritating that it burns out so quickly!! Get design but they need a better manufacturer!!! We are now getting ready to switch brands and save all the headaches that this has caused!

I will never use another straightener again!!! I have very very very frizzy hair...but using the maxiglide it takes 15 min. and my hair looks PERFECT! It is easy to use yourself and i highly recomend it!!It is definatly worth the money!
