I was just in love with my mine when I got it and even told everyone about it. But just this morning when I went to use it I notice it was taking a really long time to heat, It never heated up. I have had it for 11 months and used it daily. I am very disapointed cause it was a huge part of my morning routine. Now what....??? I was on here trying to see if there was a warrenty or something... highly dought it though.
OMG WORST PRODUCT EVER!!!! PLZ READ!!!

When I Saw Maxiglide On T.V, I Just Had To Have One! It Looked Like It Worked So Good. My Hair Is Even That Difficult. It's Just Somewhat Thick Wavy Hair. Once I Got The Maxiglide, It Worked Great... Until It Started Pulling Out My Hair. Ouch!
And After Just One Month, The Top Of The Maxiglide Stopped Heating Up! Then One Month Later, I Couldn't Turn It Off! And Then ANOTHER Month Later, When I Pressed The Blue Button, Instead Of Steam Coming Out, Hot Streaming Water Poured Out Of The Maxiglide And Right Onto My Skin! OUCH!!
Every Month It Seemed To Get Suckier!! So I Just Threw That Piece Of Junk Away!!
SERIOUSLY, THE PEOPLE ON HERE THAT SAID IT WAS A GOOD PRODUCT, THE JUST GOT THE MAXIGLIDE! BECAUSE VERY VERY SOON, IT WILL BREAK!
Don't Buy! It's A Total Waste Of Your Hard Earned Money!
I RECOMMEND THE SEDU FLAT IRON EVERYONE!! THAT'S THE BEST!

My mom bought me the Maxiglide becuase we saw it so many times on tv and we really thought that it would work. The ceramic pins on it and everything made sense but when I tried to straighten my hair, it pulled hair out and I had to keep brushing my hair so that it wouldn't keep getting tangled. It was also fairly heavy- my arms would get tired really fast and I would just give up and use my old flat iron. The "steamburst technology" that they rant and rave about was no better. It didn't work at all in helping to promote shininess or eliminate frizz. I don't recommend it at all. My Conair straightener that I had at the time worked 100 times better- and I'm really not kidding. In the end, I ended up returning it.

I bought this hair straightner after I had used my friend's maxiglide. I decided to buy my own, so I did in July of 2005. It worked fine, nothing to wow me though.. took the frizz out, but it did not flatten. (even though i wasnt looking for flattening). It does give a lot of shape to your hair, especially because it has the little brush inserted in it. however you have to use anti-frizz after so the the hair lays down smooth. Anyways, the hair straightener stopped heating up by April or May of 2006.. hence it did not even last a year. i've had cheaper hair straightners lasting me for way longer than that!!!
Not worth it!

I have really thick, wavy hair and was tired of using my old straightener that took me about 2 hours to get it straightened! I'd seen the Maxi Glide on TV so many times and always thought "I will get it one day" cuz it just seemed so amazing. Well that one day came and it was far less than amazing! It left my hair totally frizzy and didn't even straighten it as well as my old one did. I definitely don't recommend this product to anyone. I'm actually thinking of trying that Solia straightener, maybe it'll help cut my time down!

MY DAUGHTER BOUGHT THE MAXIGLIDE AND SHE USED IT ON MY HAIR I WAS AMAZED SO I DECIDED TO GET ONE FOR MY SELF , BUT MY HAIR KEEP FALLING OFF AND SO I DIDN'T PAID MUCH ATTENTION TILL ONE DAY MY DAUGHTER CAME TO VISIT AND DID MY HAIR AND ASKED ME "DID YOU CUT YOUR HAIR AND I SAID NO WHY?" "CAUSE YOUR HAIR IS SHORTER LIKE IF YOU HAVE CUT IT " AND I HAVE PROOF THAT MY HAIR WAS LONGER WHEN I STARTED USING IT AND SO I DON'T USE IT NO MORE AND ALSO DON'T RECOMMEND IT CAUSE IT MAKES YOUR HAIR FALL OFF BAD. SORRY BUT THAT IS THE TRUTH I WOULD HATE FOR ANY ONE TO HAVE TO EXPERIENCE THIS MY HAIR TAKES FOREVER TO GROW AND THIS HAPPENING TO ME NO WAY A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT AND A WAIST OF MONEY THEY SHOULD TAKE IT OUT OF THE MARKET OR WARNED YOU ABOUT IT !!

i got the maxi glide in at the end of the summer in 2005 and it was amazing..i used it all the time and it straightened my extremely thick wavy/curly hair. then suddenly, after about a year it stopped heating up =/

This straightener is great but like all other flat irons your hair still gets broken, pulled out and a little frizzy on the ends. It is great because after you straighten your hair it looks natural and lasts a long time even without the hair products. Just remember to clean it and remove the little water thing when you aren't using it for a while. I would give it 4 stars or maybe 4.5 if my choice was from 1 star to 5 stars.
Buy it, you'll love it even when you hair is unmanageable!

I have VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY thick African-American hair and this straightens my hair better than anything I've ever tried before. My brother bought one for my niece and when I came to visit them I discovered how great it really was-so now Im going to buy one!!

I HAVE CURLY DRY HAIR AND USING THE MAXIGLIDE HAS MADE MY HAIR HEALTHIER AND STRAIGHT. I LOVE IT AND SO DOES EVERYONE ELSE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GET IT NOW. YOU WILL FEEL LIKE A NEW PERSON

I bought a maxiglide after hearing about how great, excellent, wonderful it was. Part of my family members are make-up artists and 100% recommended it. IT WORKED WONDERS!! If you are looking for an awesome hair straightener... buy the maxiglide, it is worth the money!

I am a pro in blowing my hair streight. I must admitt that ever since I bought the Maxiglide I have not blowdried my hair again. I am graced with good hair I could have very curly hair or very straight hair or wavy. It just deppends on my mood. However its never been this easy or this proffessional looking to have sstreight hair and have it last days thriugh the humidity or heat. I dont even have to do a touch up on my hair. I have bought 3 irons and given 2 as a gift and I am currently in the process of buying another.

So, I was so excited when I saw this straightener on TV! I have extrmely curly hair (tiny, little ringlets) that tend to be frizzy! I also have the Chi flat iron that I am very much in love with, and when I saw this product on TV, I was like "Wow, this will cut my time in half!" Well, I received it, and what ended up happening, is it pulled my hair right out! I'm guessing that maybe it is not that good for people with thin and fragile hair! I tried to use less pressure, but it didn't help at all! It also didn't straighten my hair very good; I ended up having to go back over it with another flat iron to really flatten my hair out! I'm not saying it is the worst flat iron in the world--It is still good for if you are in a rush and you don't have time to fully blow dry your hair (and if you are willing to go through it more than one time later on), but I would choose other flat irons over this one! Sorry Maxi-glide!

When I first heard about this straightner I picked up the phone and immediately ordered it because it looked like such a high quality, good straightner and that I would finally find something good enough to smooth my curly frizzy hair but I was definitly thinking wrong. This straightner only worked well for me one time and after that it seems to go downhill. It seems that the quality of the straightner does not last and on that note I would advise you not to waste your money on this useless product.

I received this product as a gift. At first it worked really good. My hair was straight even though it smelled a little burned, but I didn't mind since it was straight. I even gave my sister one as a b'day present, but when mine was approaching the one year anniversary the top plate stopped working and recently I found out that my cousin had the same problem with hers and now my sister's stopped working. I guess that the Maxiglide should have a Caution sign on their product stating that they expire in one year!

This is the best on the market. If you have tried to straighten your hair before and it didn't last, this is for you. If I can use it anybody can.
