what a piece of crap

I bought this on a whim when I saw it on the infomercial. It came pretty quick and I was so excited to use it. First few times it was good, then the light wouldnt stop flashing, it would not heat up after only using it about 6 times. Ended up getting a new one and it was horrible, it pulled my hair out and it had chips on it. My hair is not extremely curly or wavy, its usually pretty easy to straighten my hair in the past but this piece of crap is the worst thing you could ever buy. I would like to find that guy in the infomercial that was selling this and hit him over the head with it. What a waste of $100 bucks!!

I really never take the time to write things like this but i was sooo impress by maxiglide that i just had to. I have bought alot of straighting products and tools and they didnt give me the resulfs i wanted or took way to long and i am not one to spend along time on my hair. it was soo different wit maxiglide it was quick and easy, i am well please!! I've told all my friends about maxiglide, thats also something i dont do, i dont really help with others advertisements but its that great. try it you wont be disappointed!

well i got this maxiglide about a 8 mths ago and it just ... died. it didnt work well before either- it made my hair extremely frizzy and dry. it worked enough so that people could tell it was straight- but my hair is so curly and frizzy that people really notice when my hair is not in a crappy bun. but when i got it straightened w/ a sedu straightener- it was DEAD straight. i was soooooooooo happy that day!i do not reccomend this straightener- seeing it does not last long,work well enough, its bad for ur hair, and its too much$ for a straightener that barelly works! try the sedu! :)

At first, I thought it was a pretty good straightner, but after about a couple months or less it broke down and it would not heat up! i was wicked upset so I went back online to look for a new one, because I would not waste my money on another maxiglide. So, I saw that sedu was best rated- and I am so happy with my purchase!! I've had sedu for several months now and it is the best straightner I have ever used in my life! It doesnt tug or pull at the hair like maxiglide does, it just glides through and with one stroke your hair is perfectly straight and beautiful, so I just wanted to tell all of you out there that maxiglide is not worth your money and it will dissapoint you so go with sedu, it will totally satisfy you :) Hope this helped a lot.

I bought this system just 6 months ago. at first it didnt work at all, not hot, no steam, just causing more frizz. then it seemed ok but had to go over each section several times not the 2 it claims. now it just stopped working. light just flashes, no heat no steam nothing. not worth the money at all.
Thank God for this product!

I absolutely love my Maxiglide. I am puertorican/dominican, my hair is very curly. This product works wonders with my hair. Its the only product that straithens my hair without the need to blowdry first. I just let my hair air dry and then use the maxi glide. The hair looks shiny and naturally straight! I live in Florida and even though its always humid out my hair stays perfect. I reccommend it 100%. In fact, I bought one for my niece and she loves me for it! :O)

I love how the maxiglide straightened my hair, but after only a couple months of use (i only use 2-3 times a week, and purchased at the end of April this year), my Maxiglide melted from the inside.

I ordered a maxiglide from folica and after 3 weeks it broke. i was so upset, and called the customer service line to figure out what my options were to return it.. i didnt have the original invoice any more. They gave me a reference number, and told me how long i had to send it back for a refund or replacement. I sent it back to them and within a week had my new one.

I was not super impressed with this staightener. I bought this to replace my Chi that finally died on me after 6 years! I think I will go buy another Chi...

My dad ordered this for me as a present, because I was really miserable about how wavy my hair was. I really expected this to solve all my problems with my hair, and last forever.
It didn't. I used it for five months. It did make my hair straight, but it made it look like straw and made it frizz really badly. It also pulled out massive amounts of my hair, which I suffered through because it was all I could do at the time. Then, after roughly six months of owning it, one side would no longer become hot and the thing was practically useless. I regret ever having seen the ad and do not suggest using this straightener.
i love my maxiglide!!!

this product took awhile to grow on me but now i love it! i've had mine since march 2005 and have never had any problems with it heating up and such. it works just like it has the day i bought it. at first i didnt like it because it ripped my hair out, so i only used the flat plate. i got good results with the flat plate, but nothing spectacular. after giving the plate with the pins another try, the results exceeded my expectations. i no longer have to blow dry my hair before flat-ironing. by the way, i have long, african american textured hair and i don't go to salons. i think the trick to this iron is in the technique and how well the hair is detangled

I was really stund on how the maxi glide worked, so i thought I would buy one for myself. I tried it for the first time and it was GREAT! but then after about one week, it didn't heat up and it's USELESS!!! I RLLY HATE THIS PRODUCT AND FEEL BAD FOR THOSE OF U WHO HAVE WASTED YOUR MONEY!!

The combs get stuck in my hair and when I am done my hair looks awful. It looks dry and frizzy.
When I use my other straight iron, it takes a little time but when I am done my hair is smooth and silky.
Do not like this product and will not recommend it.

After viewing the commerical several times, I was sure this straightner was going to solve all my problems...but i was duped.
Ok, here's the picture.When I first used the striaghtner a couple of days ago I was very much impressed by the results of the first piece of hair I did, but thats when the trouble came. The straightner seemed to be overheating and the plates were litterly melting, so my and I were all like...well this straightner works, but it is too dangerous and difficult to work. I would rather have a straightner that just has one button...(the on and off button).
So my mom and I tried again to straighten my hair this time with a lower temp., but my hair just got damaged and I lost a lot of hair, becuase it pulled my hair at the bottem even after combing my hair free of tangles. I was very much dissapointed.
THIS THING SUCKS!

This "sraightner" is B.S!I got mine about two months ago thinking it was going to do as well as it did for the other girls on t.v,but i was soooo wrong.It ripped my hair out and just made my hair more worse than it was, I regret the day I ever bought this, it was a waste of money.I do not recommend this to anyone.

I used to blow dry with a metal round brush and curl with a large curling iron. After about 1 hour my hair was still a bit frizzy. Now I can let my hair dry on its own, and using the Maxiglide gets my hair perfect. I go easy on the very ends and use my curling iron to curl the very ends under. This has cut the time I need to do my hair to 20 min. I love it!

I had never seen or heard of this iron until a friend told me about it. She let me borrow it. I HAD to have one! I have naturally curly hair and have always struggled with "normal" irons. This iron is the best! I know, while I borrow this iron I fell in love with it and when I gave it back I had to buy one within that same week. If you are thinking that this is just another iron---it is NOT, it is in a league by itself! Awesome product that does what it says!
