I purchased the Maxiglide for my teenaged daughter who has very long, very wavy-curly-wiry hair. She has never been satisfied with anything other than chemical straighteners, but has always been concerned with long-term effects. We've tried many other straightening devices but none come close to Maxiglide. My daughter how quickly and effectively it works to straighten her hair better than even some of the chemical products. For my money, Maxiglide beats all other products in this category!

I love my maxiglide it works great and it is fast i dont have to use a cheap flat iron anymore i have gone through about five and they dont compare to the maxiglide i am so glad i bought it. My hair has alot more shine and i love the extra stuff that it came with. I will recommend this product to all my friends.

i always had beautiful thick long hair until i went to this place called hairsay that lady jacked me up i have thing hair thats scrraggally now so i went and did sopmething about it i got this lady to fix my hair where it can grow back healthy and its growing back finally so i decieded now that i have decent hair i need to start wearing it down so i started using my wet 2 straight (not worth your money) ..so for christmas i asked for the MaxiGlide hair straightner i was amazed how straight my hair was but theres a catch! the detagaling plate pulled out my hair bad!! and the flat platepulled my hair too!! so its not worth losing the hair i highly suggest if you want a painfree straight hair style you should get the Chi it works good and does not cause you to lose hair!!!

I loved it. It wasn't too heavy, and it realy worked. I straightened my hair faster and better with this product than any other product I have ever used. if used correctly, this product works great!

I bought it for my daughters, one has coarse hair the other has long wavy hair. it transformed their damaged hair(due to other straighteners) into silky smooth straight hair. the hair doesn't need a trim as often, thank god. with proper use and maintenance, we achieved maximum results.
Now i have two happy teenagers.

I was hesitant about buying this appliance to the use of water however, I must admit it works. I would recommend this appliance to anyone regardless of ethnicity.

I purchased my Maxiglide just over a year ago. I have very thick course curly hair. This product is just great. I don' think I could live without it. I have never had straight hair before this, everytime I tried to straighten my hair with other irons my hair just became a big frizz ball that just flattened my frizz. I would work on my hair for like 2 hours and it would look just terrible. I can now straighten my shoulder blade length hair in just 20 minutes from a dry state. I look younger and can finally wear my hair down instead of the constant ponytail. Like I said earlier I have owned and used this product for over a year not once have I had a malfunction with it. The light only blinks when heating up to temp. The steam feature works great and as long as you follow directions does not drip or burn. I highly recommend this product. I actually purchased my Maxiglide from this website. I liked the fact it was cheaper than the actual Maxius website plus the free shipping was a bonus. I received my product quickly. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine!!

My niece brought a maxiglide, wanted to try it out on my hair. I have very thick hair and coarse.She use the maxiglide on my hair and i love it very much. I have ironed my hair and use all sorts of hair straightner irons and it did'nt do anything for my hair, but after seeing how my hair looks using the maxiglide, my husband saw alot of difference on my hair and I happy to know that my husband allowed my to get one.

I initially purchsed this for my stepdaughter a year ago, who has very long, thick, and wavy hair. It did the job of getting it straight, but the comb did a number on her so she just used the flat plate. A few months later I purchased one for myself. Just yesterday the permanent plate started melting off the unit! No joke - its now at a 45 degree angle - platic, plate, housing, and all - just melted off. It did this even after I shut it off (still plugged into the wall, but shut off). Then I asked my stepdaughter if I could use hers - only to find that her light doesn't stop blinking and the permanent plate doesn't heat up at all. And if you use the 'steam' button, it just squirts water onto your hair. I'm not happy with the amount of money I paid for these and the quality I received. I feel like I paid for a '06 mercedes and got a '78 pickup truck.

I have frizzy and ugly hair. With the maxiglide now I have beautiful and straight hair. I have been through about 10 straightners but never found one like this one......It's awsome!!!!!!!! I love it!!!!!!!!

I WAS SO EXICITED TO TRY THE MAXIGLIDE CAUSE I HAD BAD EXPERIENCE WITH A RECENT FLAT IRON I HAD BOUGHTEN.AND I HAVE TO SAY THAT THE MAXIGLIDE IS #1 WITH STRAIGHTING HAIR.I HAVE THE MOST KINKIEST NASTY LOOKING HAIR WHEN I LET IT AIR DRY AND ESPECIALLY HORRIBLE WHEN I BLOW DRY IT.IT TURNS INTO AN AFRO.AND THE MAXIGLIDE MAKES IT LOOKS SILKY STRAIGHT IN A FEW EASY STEPS.I SO RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO LOOK AS THOUGH YOUR HAIR WAS NATURALY STRAIGHT. This product does straighten and is the only iron that keeps my hair looking sleek and sexy. My natural hair is long and barely wavy but very frizzy and has uneven waves so this is a livesaver. Plus, my boyfriend loves my hair long and straight so I thank the maxiglide! Without the maxiglide I would never let my hair loose naturally. People compliment me and say they wish they had hair like mine and get shocked when I tell them I straighten it. I tell them "Oh, if you only knew how my natural hair looked like!" The only bad thing about it is that it wears out so you have to buy a new one.

I love this product! It is the BEST STRAIGHTNER EVER! It keeps your hair straight, extremely shiny and soft. I will keep buying this product I love my hair now and it keeps the frizz long gone!! Get this product! Believe me, I've tried so many straighters and this one is the best. What's up with all the bad reviews? Of course, using heat EVERY DAY or not protecting your hair with special product will give it split ends so don't be surprised if you get them-it is HEAT your applying to your hair. (Every change one does to their hair like coloring it or blow drying damages hair and the reason why one has to get hair trimmed) Also, if you have split ends its best your get them cut off first before you use the Maxiglide (so they won't get stuck while your ironing.) I am really in love this is product and anyone who buys it will too.

I love this product and what it does to my hair! My hair has never been as flat, straight and in style until I got my hands on Maxi Glide.. The steam is great (ofcourse do not over use it) you do need to use a hair moisturizer and maybe every other week a hot oil to replace damage dried hair and plus cut your tips every other month in order to maintain beautiful healthy hair.. The most awesome about it is that it only takes me 1/2 hour to do my entire hair on a regular basis and maybe one hour in the beggining after it goes back to curly after washing the hair.. My hair was looooong, super curly and heavy.. NOW, its cut into a cute style, straight and with volume, I LOVE IT!! I feel like a new woman, I get sooo many compliments that I recommend this to all woman that have extremely curly hair, very Frizzy hair and very COURSE hair.. I totally recommend this product!!

I hear all these bad reviews about how the maxi glide pulls out hair when you use the bomv plate option, but what you have to do is brush your hair completely before you straighten it. Make sure that all the knots are out, and it will not pull out your hair. Also, straighten your hair in fairly small parts. That way the comb plate spreads out your hair and helps it straighten. The only down side is that is heavy.

Me personally I loved maxiglides. I am a black female and it worked great on my hair. The only thing is you have to use it right or the ends of it can snag onto your hair. The fact that it is ceramic protects your hair from the heat so anyone on here who says their hair was damaged from the heat is mistaken. I just personally feel it would be even more amazing if it came in pink. I think it would sell more.

I really enjoy this product. Follow directions and DO NOT push hard and DO pull gently and evenly.
I do not use it everyday as I think using thermal tools on hair everyday is damaging; at least to my hair. I also am not a big fan of steam on my hair with thermal tools but then again, I do not use it everyday so I don't know if it would make a difference. I find steam weakens my hair shaft when hot irons are applied but that is just me...
I would like the smaller version but it is too pricey yet for me. When it is a bit lower in price, I will invest in one!

Well, I bought my maxiglide about seven months ago because I heard about the great reviews. I have had one for about seven months now, and I love it. I have medium length hair and it straightens in about 10-15 minutes. Before my hair just curled up walking in the cold to the bus, now it doesn't. My hair stays perfetly straight for the WHOLE day!!
Before I bought mine though I was reading some of the bad reviews and wondering if it was really worth. It is, and if you are like me not knowing if it will work for you or not, TRUST ME!!!!!! BUY IT!!!
