Okay so i had the maxi glide for 1 year and a half then i dropped it and it broke.I bought another one though. Even though it is expensive it is so worth it. I have probably the most curlyest hair you ahve even seen.I am biracial so my hair has kinky curls all over and is very thick. It smoothes out my hair and makes it however it want it. If i want a flip i got it. If i want it fuller i just adjust the heat. If i want it flat to my head i turn it up. It was my all time favorite straighner

Hello there, I just wanted to comment on my experience with Maxiglide...I loved maxiglide it really does what it says it does and then some, the only problem that I had with the Maxiglide is that after about six months into it the lights don't come on and it does not heat up..I bought two Maxiglides two different times and it had the same problem..it's just that it sorta dies out after six or so months of using it...it's either the lights don't stay on meaning it's hot or one of the plates don't heat up...but all and all I loved using Maxiglide.

it was great the first couple of times really fast and easy then after awhille it made my hair oily n rough and i cleaned it and everything but it was only alittle better never back to how it was at first n after awhile when i warmed it up it smelled like something was burning so i think if u wanna a maxiglide then your only goonnna get good use for like a couple of months i suggest u research more and find something that will last longer but if u think thiss is the right straightener for u it might be but it wasnt for me

ok so this is what happened..uit worked for like a week then everything bad started happening......it would not turn on or it wouldjust fry my hair..i went to a professional hair stylist and they tol me to trash the straightener and gave me a new one for free..it happened agina..this sucks and my friend wrote a good review for it just so that other people ould become victims rtooo..i am warning you..you will be bald when you get older cause like seriously it just ripps hair out in a yeaqr i serisouly lost like half of my hair fom this product.. :(((
the first picture isme with thick hair but it is alread yruineed from the straightener and hten my hair fried so ihad to get it cut relaly short and now i barelyy have al ot of hair...

THIS IS SIROUSLY THE WORST FLAT IRON I HAVE EVER HAD. IT WORKED REALLY GOOD AT FIRST BUT THEN THE PAINT ON THE IRONS STARTED TO BURN OFF. ALL THE PAINT BURNING OFF MADE IT SMELL LIKE BURNT HAIR. THEN IT MADE MY HAIR SMELL HORRIBLE. I COULDNT USE THE FLAT IRON ANYMORE BECAUSE IT MADE MY HAIR SMELL SO BAD. ITS TOO BIG TOO. I HATE 2INCH HAIR STRAIGHTENERS THEY ARE SOO BIG AND I CANT STRAIGHTEN MY ROOTS.

This works great except it stops working quickly. I returned one, then got a replacement, and stopped working again. Does not last much time before it quits heating !!!!

This straightner is not as good as it looks. For me it left my frizzy dryed hair practically the exact same. Its not worth the price trust me. and that water didnt even work. If you ask me that is more like a 19.95 dollar straightner. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.

omg!!!this thing is amazing!! my hair has never looked better! i've tried EVERYTHING in the market and this si the only thing that woorks on my hair...i have very curly hair u see. anywayzz this si so great and it hasnt damaged my hair at all! in fact, it has made it healthier! also, it takes only 10 mminutes to finish the job!! u should definetly buy it!

This flat iron should be in every stylist bag, salon (simple or high-end), and every woman that likes quick efficient straightening's house. My hair is thick and bushy and the MaxiGlide gets my hair so silky. The other day I had the flu when I finally rolled out of bed my hair looked like medusa styled it totally frizzed out as well as matted to my head. The MaxiGlide got my hair so silky so quick and effortlessly. It also makes my hair light and just all around transformed. This product it worth every penny. There are other high-end flat irons out there that cost more but cannot do what the MaxiGlide can do. AMAZING- (and the value pack comes with a lot of cool things)

When I bought this straightener I was kinda doubtfull about it because no straightener has worked well for my hair. I'm half black and half mexican so it's hard to deal with my hair as it is. The dvd helped me a lot! The straightener is great but I think that it would work better if I bought some of the straightening products with it because sometimes when it's hot outside or raining it gets frizzy! I have other straightening products and I use it but it doesn't work well enough. Maybe it's just my hair or the way I'm using it but in my opinion I think if I used the products with it then it would work better. Other than that it's a great straightener and it's worth the money! Thanks!!

This is the best hair straightener available! My daughter has very curly course hair & it "glides" right through it--usually in 1 pass rather than 3 or 4 times over with a traditional straight iron. I use it on my entire family because the heat intensity is adjustable--so the fine hair doesn't get burnt and yet I get the heat I need for the course thick hair. Great Job!

I really really like this product! It's so fast and effective and that's great for me since I usually don't have a lot of time to sit there and straighten my hair. Also, the DVD styling tips is great too. I recommend this to any one who doesn't have time and wants sleek straight soft beautiful hair.

I purchased my Maxiglide approx. 1 yr. ago & it has been very serviceable. For people who wrote bad reviews.. well I say you MUST follow the directions as with any product. If you use the Maxius products, blowdry your hair out (that works best) or I have let mine air dry but I feel the kinkier it is you need to blowdry straight. Section hair and do not press the plates together...It's supposed to glide and it will. To use the steamer.. USE DISTILLED water only so it won't leak. My grandaugher has a mixture of kinkier hair at crown and finer other places and this works GREAT on her hair, but I find you MUST use the products for it to hold. So if and when my breaks, I will be sure to purchase another one.

Ok, I gotta say, the customers who dont like the maxiglide need to read yhe instructions, cause let me tell you something, naturally, I have THICK, coarse wavy hair, and on top of that, I have colored my hair for the last 6 years like crazy, all the bleach fried my hair BAD, like on the maury show (talkshow) when they do the one about the girls with frizzy frizzy hair and give them makeovers? Thats my hair, I use to cry all the time cause I needed help with my hair, I tried all kins of products, things people said would make my hair so soft, and it was a joke, other straightners would make my hair kinda straight, but SOOOO puffy, Ive seen all kinds of frizzy hair, but mine is worse than your picturing,
Then I saw the informertial, and was so exited, but I knew in the back of my head it wasnt gonna do half of what they said it would, I would be waissting money that I dont have, but finally, about 6 months later, me and my boyfriend were watching tv, and seen the informertial, and I said something about it, he picked up the phone and ordered one with the express shipping, 5 to 7 buisness days it was gonna be there, well, 2 1/2 weeks later of waiting and calling, they lost my package, then found it, and said sorry bla bla bla, well another week went by, and they said they the ups man left it on my porch 2 days ago! I was home for three weeks almost and no ups man came, then they tried scaring me saying there was a tracking device on the package cause they thought I was trieng to get a free one, and a few days later(4or5) it finally came, then 1 week later they sent me free shampoo and conditioner for the hasle, but ANYWAYS.. Yes it was kinda heavy, but I have never been so happy about my hair in my life, my mom saw it and freaked out, it made my hair look naturally straight(that took a while) but it was woth the time spent on it. I got so many compliments on my hair, before the maxiglide, there wasnt a day that went by that I wore my hair down, or even tried, my hair didnt even look good in a ponytail, i had to put it in a ponytail, then gell the ponytail(lots of gel) then scrunch and do a messy bun, or leave scrunchy, but after my maxiglide came, I was a whole new person, I felt good about myself. The steam burst did what they said it would do, it made my hair feel softer, and NO, the maxiglide DOSNT PULL OUT HAIR, UNLESS you do what they tell you not to do, and sqeeze the plates together, and NO, THE STEAM BURST DOSNT BURN YOUR SCALP, UNLESS, you do what they say not to do, and do it close to your scalp, my point is, all the people saying bad things are WRONG, they dont know how to use it, trust me, if you watch the dvd that comes with it, you'll LOVE it,
BUT, one really bad thing that alot of people said is true!!
I TOOK SUPER GOOD CARE OF MY MAXIGLIDE , I TREASURED IT, THEN ONE DAY, I PLUGED IT IN AND WAS WAITING FOR IT TO HEAT UP, AND 10 MIN. LATER, IWAS STILL WAITING, THEN 30 MIN. LATER, STILL WAITING, AND IT TURNS OUT, THE PLATE THAT DOSNT COME OFF, DOSNT EVEN HEAT UP, NOT AT ALL, THE OTHERSIDE DOES, AND NOW, THE STEAM BURST, JUST LEAKS, I TRIED SQEEZING THE PLATES TOGETHER, TO WARM UP THE OTHER SIDE, BUT NOPE, ITS BROKE. AND I ONLY USED IT FOR 7 OR 8 MONTHS, SO FOR THOUGHS OF YOU WHO JUST GOT IT, ENJOY IT WHILE IT LASTS, BUT, I LOVED WHAT IT DID TO MY HAIR SOOOOOO MUCH, AND I KNOW THERE ISNT ANOTHER STRAIGHTNER THAT COULD DO THAT, SO IM GETTING ANOTHER ONE, CAUSE FOR ARROUND $100. BUCKS FOR MY HAIR TO LOOK AND FEEL GOOD, AND FOR ME TO BE SO HAPPY WITH IT FOR 7 MONTHS... ITS WORTH IT. I WOULD GET ANOTHER ONE IF IT ONLY LASTED 5 MONTHS TO BE HONEST WITH YOU, CAUSE SO FAR, THERE ISNT ANOTHER STRAIGHTNER IN THE WORLD LIKE A MAXIGLIDE.

I saw the informercial on the Maxiglide iron, and the inventor made it look so easy (isn't that what infomercials are supposed to do?), so I purchased it. However, this thing tears your hair out, gets stuck, and my hair is in no way healthy looking when I've completed the ironing process. Plus, the steam concoction leaks constantly. I gave the iron about 4 tries, thinking I'd get used to it, to no avail. It's the worst iron I've ever purchased.
