My hair is curly and my hair is really thick, it strait my hair really fast and it leave my hair like chineese hair, shiny and soft. and it last a few days like that. I don't know why some people lye about how bad it is because it's good. Maybe they are doing it wrong, but for me! I LOVE IT!! It's just like their comercial, It's great!!!!!
It's worth it the price...
Thank you!!!!!

I bought got this straightner carried away with all the commercials that i would see two years ago and after a year one of the sides (the one with the little water valve) stopped working! It sucks and now i can't even return it or get it repaired. It did straighten your hair, but not like they say on TV and it DOES burn your scalp because the plastic thing gets hot too. Also what sucks about it is that its too heavy and you get real tired after a while. Other than that i still use it about once a month but it takes forever to straighten my hair because of only one plate heating up!! Well anyway i have now ordered the pink CHI and hope to get WAY BETTER results. Buy this iron if you feel you want to take a risk.
Not very happy

When I first started using Maxiglide I liked it. Shortly thereafter, it began pulling my hair out badly. Two of my co-workers were also using it, but had to stop because it pulled their hair out also. I would definitely not recommend Maxiglide for this reason.
Do not use the steam

Maxi Glide works very good. The only thing i do not recommend is the steam. I am living proof that the steam is horrible for your hair. Think about it you add steam, what is steam wet and then you add intense heat to that area where the steam is you break your hair right off. Trust me it is HORRIBLE. My hair broke off so bad that i had to cut it off and start over. The regular iron part for the maxi glide is terrific with the exception that you keep the temperature at about 5.
Best Straightener Ever!

My hair is really thin, so i was afraid that the MaxiGlide would burn it a lot, but it does not. This is the only straightener that actually straightens my hair the first time and leaves it like that for a long time! The Maxiglide although does leave people with thick, super curly hair feeling a bit dry. However, i would recommend this product to anyone! The MaxiGlide is really Cool!

i have a maxiglide and i give it 50/50. good : since my hair is very thick and wavy, the maxiglide does straighten it but after 20 min, the ends start to woop in twards my face and look a little curly. another bad thing is that after about 6 months, the blue light that tells you when it is heated up never stops blinkinh, so you dont know when its ready AND the steam broke to. it also got less hot, like it doesent straighten as well. ive had it for about a year and a half and i think for christmas im going to ask for a sedu or maybe chi. ( im afriad of buying a chi becuase people say it brakes) but overall, the straightner works, but well, you see my point.

I thought the maxius was the answer to my prayers. Don't get me wrong the maxius does straighten my hair. It doesnt work any better than a walmart straightener. They all straighten but your hair feels like straw. I spent over 100 dollars on mine with another company. im not sure why the maxius would stand out over any other straightener on this website. it does NOT have a swivel CORD! they talk about using it to flip your hair. The cord gets completely tangled. I hate my maxius because it's sooo heavy, makes me hair dry and stinky, and it gets tangled. so i went back to a 1 inch conair from walmart until i got enough money to get a chi. i dont care if a chi "breaks" after a few months, i've used a chi before and it does exactly what i want. the maxius is just a run of the mill straightener...which i wasted my money on.
It's a really good straightener!!!

The maxi glide works really good on my hair. But the thing I don't like about it is that it has a burning smell so that realy turns me off, and the smell goes through the whole house! Overall it works really good.FOR ALL THE PEOPLE SAY THAT THE MAXI GLIDE DOES NOT WORK, IT DOES WORK!!!! SO STOP LYING AND TELL THE TRUTH BECAUSE I HAVE THE CURLYEST HAIR AND IT STILL WORKS!!!!!!!!
I LOVE MAXIGLIDE!!!!!!!!!!

I have really long curly hair and I use to spend so much money to get it straightened. Now I can do it myself and it comes out super straight and soft. I recommend it to everyone! It's totally worth it!
Works well for one year

If you want great hair for one year this is a good straightener. After a while it starts to tear your hair and gives off the worst burnt hair smell and steams up way too much. It's better to buy something more expensive that will last longer.
Awesome product

I recently tried the Maxius Maxiglide hair staightener from my friend Rachel, and it worked wonders with my curly hair. I never thought that there would be an actual hair straightener to straighten and keep my hair straight but I'm very pleased to have come across this product. I'm just waiting patiently for mines to arrive in the mail!!!

ALSO SINCE I GOT HIGHLIGHTS IT MADE MY HAIR FALL OFF.(AND IT DOES BURN YOUR SCALP!) I DONT THINK ITS WORTH WHAT IT COSTS, I HOPE THAT AT LEAST THE 30 DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE WORKS. CHICAS NO LA COMPREN!

i bought the maxieglide about 2 yrs ago saw it in a commercial....i have to say i cant live without it!!
I have very curly hair and it used to take me 2 1/2 hrs to get straight and still it looked puffy.....but i've been using the maxieglide it takes me 15 mins to get it straight its the best!
1 advise......DONT USE IT WITH WATER...USING THE STEAM WILL LEAVE YOUR HAIR PUFFY

I bought this last year and have used it only a few times because frankly the $15 flat iron I got at Walmart works better. My hair is wavy, but easy to style and this "straightner" if it worked as advertised would make my hair poker straight. IT DOES NOT! As other people commented, it just makes hair frizzy and I don't have frizzy hair at all normally! What makes me more angry is that only one side of it heats up - the other side died. And the manufacturer refuses to do anything about it. I bought it from HSN and they told me to contact the manufacturer. So never buy this product and never order from HSN. Moral of the story.

only lasted one year and the blue L.E.D. never stopped blinking after turned on to let me know the iron has reached the set temperature. This is really dissatifying on so much money spent on this item. What are the return policies besides the 30 day money back gauranteed?

My Daughter Savannah was very happy when she recieved her Maxy Glide. The time we use to spend staighten her hair felt like forever! We both hated it. It took atleast 3 hours. But, now it takes us less the one hour. I really don't mind doing her hair now. Cause, I know I will be done fast.
Sincerely,

I bought the Maxiglide hoping it would give me smooth, straight hair. Unfortunatly, this was not the case. The straightner often times smelt burnt, would rip out my hair, and would get very dirty, very fast. It is also VERY heavy and is hard to use.Neither I or my friends like this product. I do not reccomend it to anyone. =(
straightened out my nappy hair!

I am an African-American woman with "coarse hair". After years of torture, overpaying beauticians (who wanted tips) and spending hours if not days waiting to get: a) hair over permed b) ears singed c) ½ damaged hair cut off c) having counterfeit products utilized by so-called experts - I decided to go natural - shedding my damaged folicles and wearing wigs for 1 year. Then I saw the informercial. Took the grocery $ from the sugar daddy and bought the entire deluxe package. After a shampoo with organic root stimulator and moisurizing my scalp with olive oil hair conditioner, I used the Maxi Glid silicone product (3 drops) and put the maxi glide on my 4" long (short) hair ONCE. Voila! Straight hair! No burnt hair, no burnt ears, no waiting hours for hair technician. Entire head took 15 minutes. I'm sold.
Losing my faith in the maxiglide

About two years ago, my mother bought a maxiglide for me and I was amazed at how well it straightened my coarse hair. Not many flat irons have the power to achieve such silkiness; however, despite using the anti-frizz products that come with the kit, the humidity overcame the product and my hair poofed as normal. That specific maxiglide ended up popping in half. I recently bought another one and had it for a few months. Unfortunately, that one got "overheated" and melted one side of the iron to where it's unable to be used. So, I'm now in search of a more effective and durable flat iron..any suggestions?
