Jet, co-founder of Jet Rhys Salon in San Diego, has more than 20 years of experience as a color specialist in the beauty and fashion industries. Recently selected by Self Magazine as one of the top colorists in the United States, Jet is known for her innovative and unparalleled passion for color. She is co-producer of Jet City, a video guide showing exciting, simple, and creative color techniques for salon use.
Prior to founding Jet Rhys in 1992, Jet held the position of assistant head of the color department for Vidal Sassoon in New York. In this role, Jet’s responsibilities included training, teaching, and overseeing department sales and inventories. She also represented color manufacturers including Renbow, Wella, and L’Oreal at trade events throughout the United States. Previously, Jet traveled with the Vidal Sassoon international show team and demonstrated her expertise in locations such as Vancouver, New York, and Mexico City. She also worked for Vidal Sassoon as a senior colorist in Beverly Hills, a color specialist in London and an apprentice in Chicago. |
