I feel navy mascara is very cool and, yes, sexy. This mascara has the beautiful hue I luv as well as the formula that best suits me. Unlike my children, I was not blessed with curled lashes. I can't tell one how many lash curlers I have gone thru since my teen years! I can easily shape my lashes and confidently know that this mascara is going on smoothly without disturbing the uplift of my lashes. The secret is in the first few ingredients listed on the packaging---petroleum distillates or beeswax or carnauba. If water is listed first, I know that product will weigh down my just curled lashes defeating the whole purpose for mascara in the first place. I am aware that I sacrifice the luxury of easily washing off the mascara with soap and water, but with a little baby oil, liquid soap, and my Proactiv cleanser, no trace of mascara can be found. And as far as performance is concerned, all I can say is no runs, no drips, no errors! Thank you, Mavala, and especially Folica.com, for offering this fantastic product!

I have used Mavala's Waterproof mascara for the past ten years...maybe longer. I have sensitive eyes so other mascara's tend to burn and I tear up using them. Mavala mascara goes on smoothly without clumping and stays on all day. I order several at a time to be sure I won't run out. Folica is also excellent about shipping immediately so my order arrives within a few days after I order.

I've tried many waterproof mascaras over the years. My eyes are sensitive and tear frequently. Mavala is very gentle, unlike many of the others, and it doesn't sting or itch during the day, plus it doesn't make my eyes feel like I've coated them with plastic.
That said, I agree with everyone who has said it is not waterproof, like most other waterproof formulas on the market. It will stand up to tears, but it does rub off, and forget any water activity. But because I don't feel like I'm wearing anything, and I've had reaction problems in the past, I will stick with it for now.

I loved this mascara. I have used so many waterproof mascaras that have flaked or irritated my eyes, but this one was great. No such problems. It comes off easily when I want it to, too. AND when I fell asleep with it on on one occasion, it still didn't irritate my eyes. A first! I will definitely buy it again (and again and again)

Have used Mavala for about 8 years. Have tried everything. I love the waterproof. I get the Black and the Brown and rub the two wands togther for a Blackish/Brown look. Now that I am 59, the Black is to hard looking, but the combination is perfect. This is the only marcara that I have found not to flake on my check bone during the day. I am a Hairstylist, so looking my best is important to me for my clients. Thanks Mavala.

I've tried many different brands of mascaras and have found a favorite one. I usually keep two of them at home... makes eyelashes thick and long, without smearing, and without flaking.

This mascara would be fine if it were sold as a regular (non-waterproof) mascara, however, I purchased it because I was looking to purchase a mascara that would stay on until I intentionally take it off. This one does not do that. By the end of the work day (sometimes earlier), the mascara would be running, and I'd be struck with the awful racoon eyes!

I was in Las Vegas about 8 years ago and went into a drug store in the mall. I found the mascara there and have only used this mascara since. It is the best I feel!!!

Forget the price. You might think that the cheaper the worse the product, but I've tried it all From the very top brands like Chanel, Christian Dior... to as simple as loreal.
This one (but make sure it's water proof, the non water proof is not as good) holds my lashes in place after curling them and elongiates them to their fullest extent. I have very short and very very straight lashes and this mascara keeps them curly, long and full all day long. Other mascaras straighten them out as soon as it touches the lashes, so all the curling is pointless.
I give it 10 stars **********. It's beyond good, it's simply the best. (maybe they should make me the spokes person for this brand)LOL

I like the way the mascara goes on, but it smears alot for being a waterproof mascara. It smears more than I would like, I wear contacts and don't like this.

I'm so glad I found this mascara. Since I have started using this mascara I noticed that my eyelashses aren't brittle and dry. My eyelashes look thick, long and healthy. I'm thrilled!

I got this because reviews were pretty good, but it slid right off my lashes. I just had a black shadow under my eyes. It didnt even stay on dry, let alone waterproof. What am I missing?

I always use cake mascaras but I couldn't find any in midnight blue, so I bought this Mavala mascara. I love it!! Unlike other wand mascaras this one is sooo light, when I put it on it feels like I'm not wearing anything but it gives me SUPER length and volume. The small light wand is also the easiest one I have ever used to control and manoeuvre. I like this so much that in spite of owning several cake mascaras I'm going to go out and buy another Mavala one in black! An extra plus is its lash-enriching castor oil.

I have used Mavala Waterproof Mascara for 15 years. I have allergies and this product has never caused any irritation at all. I feel that this product could be called a "dry mascara", it doesn't deposit clumps and for me at least, does not smudge at all. I live in France for 6 months each year and Mavala is a product sold in stores called Parapharmacies and so is very available to me either in the United States or France. I certainly hope they don't ever go out of business, as has happed with many of my other favorites.

I should've listened to people who complained about this product. It rubs off like crazy, I don't know what part of this mascara is WATERPROOF. And I got the black color, but it looks more like gray. I'm very upset for purchasing this item.
Is not waterproof and flakes off eyelashes.

Product came off my eyelashes throughout the day and had to keep wiping it off so I didn't look like a racoon.
