I bought this a few weeks ago and after putting it on I unconsiously bit my nails once, and I haven't done so since! I have been biting my nails for around seven years and this product stopped it within days. The paint lasts about a week too. I am extremely happy with this product. Did I mention Im a guy too.

My 5 year old son has sucked his thumb since birth. Within one week of using the Mavala Stop he stopped sucking his thumb and has not started again in over a month. He would let me put the polish on his thumbs without a problem. It works!

My daughter stopped her habit within 3 days. The nights were our biggest concern because she sucked unconsciously but the Mavala worked great. We reapplied for a week just to be sure and she is a non-sucker now. I highly recommend it.

It was for my son... he has the habit of eating his nails for almost 20 years, as a fact I do not remenber the last time he cut his nails... is working ...for the first time his fingers has nails... excuse my english... merci...

I bought this product for my 4 year old son who had started biting his nails. It worked right away. My soon put his fingers in his mouth a couple times, but quickly took them out and was clearly bothered by the taste. That was almost two months ago. He still will not bite his nails too much if I reapply it every 2 to 3 days, but I didn't expect to have to continue to apply it for this long. It doesn't appear to bother him quite as much as it did at first and it hasn't really "broken the habit" but if it's recently been put on his nails he mostly keeps them out of his mouth.

The stuff tastes awful; therefore, it works. I've been biting my nails for years and would finally grow them out and start biting again. I've stopped long enough that I've needed to cut my nails twice...this has NEVER happened before. I finally have nice nails. Just in time for Christmas and New Years too! A little expensive, but worth it to kick a disgusting habit.
I was surprised that it looked like nail polish when I put it on. So if you're not looking for shiny nails, I'd suggest another route.
Hands down fabulous!

This product helped me to stop biting my nails AND keep my hands out of my mouth. It's great. Most importantly this product made me more aware. I may not have been biting my nails but I was immediately aware when I had my fingers in my mouth. I didn't realize it. So this product helped me to stop this nervous habit. With my hands now out of my face, I don't look insecure or nervous anymore. Thanks!

My son would not stop sucking his thumb. After thousands of reminders to remove his thumb from his mouth, we decided to try this product. Done. Problem solved. We brushed Mavala Stop on his thumbnail and when we found him mouthing a toy we applied the product to the toy. It stopped him cold after only three days. No more thumb sucking! No more putting every object in the world in his mouth. Now, I will watch him start moving his thumb towards his mouth, take a second look at it, and voluntarily put his arm back down at his side. High recommendations for this product. I haven't even used half of the first bottle I purchased. A little goes a long way.

All it took were two applications (about once a week) and my nails are long and back to normal. I HIGHLY reccomend it!!

I brought this product for my sister who just turned 30 and can not stop biting her nails. I wrapped it up and gave it to her on Christmas Day. She smelled it and realized there was no smell and put it on her nails without hesitation. After about an hour she went to put her finger in her mouth and let out one of the worst screams ever! She conplained that the taste was horrible and continued to do so after the fact. About 2 weeks later she still calls me and tells me that she has no intentions on going back to biting her nails. She did admit that anytime she "slips" and goes to bite her nails she gets a rude awakening. The poduct remains on your nails for a while but it is always good to reapply just to keep it strong.

This product costs more and is smaller than other bottles. However, I think it did a better job than other brands. My daughter and I both tried a few other brands with no sucess. Mavala STOP helped us to finally stop biting out nails. So, in the end, it was worth the extra cost, because it did the job.
Our 9 year old son finally stopped sucking his thumb!

Our 9yos started sucking his thumb as soon as I took his pacifier away (around a year old). For several years, we tried about everything to get him to stop. Even going to school didn't stop his habit. I heard about MAVALA several months ago and decided to try it. After all, it was very inexpensive. He got angry at first. However, it didn't take him long (after he got the first taste) to stop sucking his thumb. It's very bitter tasting, and it's very hard to get the taste out of your mouth. I tasted it the first time I put it on his thumb (curiosity, I guess). Yuck! It even made my food taste bad, and it took a while to get the taste out of my mouth.
Since he stopped sucking his thumb, I've caught him a couple of times with it back in his mouth. I only have to apply it once, and he stops.
I'm so glad I found this product! Thanks to MAVALA!

I am in my mid twenties and I am a severe nail biter. I mean, I can't stop and I bite when I don't even know I'm biting. I have only been using this product for a few weeks, but I sure have kept my nails out of my mouth! I can actually see some nail growing out. This stuff tastes awful! The only draw back is that even when you eat you can taste it. Eating finger foods like chips, fruit, sandwiches even, your fingers touch your mouth and this stuff gets on your lips. When you lick your lips while eating, you taste it. It's kind of annoying to taste it even while eating, but I will still use it because I desperately need to stop biting my nails.
So if you want to stop biting...get this product. It will surely stop you.

For someone who wishes to help the little thumbsucker, this stuff is wonderful. My 4 (almost 5) year old wanted to quit but needed some help remembering....well this worked pronto!

This stuff is truly awful. After applying and it dried there was no odor so I decided to taste by licking my nail. I couldn't believe how horrible the taste was. I am on day 14 and my nail are looking very healthy for the first time in my life. I wouldn't be able to stop biting my nails with Mavala 'Stop'. If you are ready to stop biting your nails, this is the product you want.

I tried this product and it does indeed keep one from biting their nails, but don't rub your eyes (it wil burn) don't make sandwiches, or eat popcorn, fruit, or finger foods, because you taste this nasty stuff all day, even when you don't want to. My kids complained because the food I prepared for them had the horrible taste on it. I don't recommend this product until they can come up with a way to have a NON transferable taste onto foods or even the eyes. Maybe make it into a clear nailpolish that holds to the nail, but not transfer onto other things.

This product is wonderful!!! My son is close to 3yrs old. He sucked his thumb all the time, if he was'nt talking or eating he was sucking. I became concerned when I watched him online @ daycare always sucking. Also for future problems, my sisiter sucked until she was 8!! I could'nt afford those dental bills!!! So after reviewing this product I figured it can't hurt to try it. I put it on once & he did'nt suck for a week!!! He would start, out of habit then remember the taste & quit. Now he says "I'm a big boy I don't suck my thumb." There was no drama involved, I never thought I would get off so easy!!! Buy this, it will be the best $7 you ever spend!!

I have been using Mavala stop on my 5 year old daughter for about 5 days, she had stopped sucking her finger in 3, but I don't want a relapse sp I will probably use it for a whole month. I have tried everything, from reminders, hot sauce, mittens, socks, tape and even another product that claimed to do the same thing and nothing worked. I was a little concerned at the price, but it has worked and is therfore well worth the money.
