One of our daughters used to suck her thumb, the other sucked on her index and middle fingers. We used Mavala Stop for less than a week and both girls were done sucking for good.

My 11 year old daughter has been biting her nails for longer than either of us can remember. Within 10 days of using "Stop for Nail Biting and Thumb Sucking" she has broken the habit. She now ‘shows off’ her nails and better yet we don't need to apply the product any longer. I wish I had made the purchase long ago!

After ONE day, my 3-year-old daughter not only stopped sucking her thumb, she stopped twiddling her breast (which was the habit that went along with sucking her thumb) and she stopped biting her nails - all after just one application. She thought I was painting her nails "like a big girl" but once she realized that her nails were NASTY, she never wanted them near her mouth again. This bottle saved me from buying a $600 appliance from the dentist - yeaaaaaa. In just a few days, I also noticed Amber's teeth shifting back into place (she has less of an overbite).

I bought this for my 8 yr old daughter who was biting her nails for the last year or so. She really wanted to quit so we started using the Mavala Stop and she hasn't bit them yet! I am very pleased.

My wife is 24 and has been biting her nails for as long as she can remember, this is the fist time that I have been able to get her to stop for even a second. It has only been a month but it looks promising

I don't know if I simply have the most motivated 5-year-old on the plant, but one application of this stuff did the trick. Her nails have already grown in enough to need cutting! You can't beat that.

I bought this product because I have a 4 year old who bites her nails daily. But this product does not deter her from biting. This product may be for casual nail biting, but not for children with a strong desire to bite their nails, suck their thumb, etc.

This product is excellent for thumb suckers. My daughter is 4 1/2 and we applied this product and she has not sucked her thumb since. We re apply it every 2 days. It's been a month. Soon I will not apply it and see if she goes back but she has done great with little complaint except the taste. I can understand that. This is very bitter tasting which is the idea of the product. I always let her rinse her mouth out when she forgot the first few days. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product.

I am 27 years old and have been bitting my nails since Kindergarden. I put the stuff on my nails and it was horrible. The taste stayed in my mouth and was reminded for a couple of minutes not to bite my nails. Just the thought of having to put the stuff back on my nails makes me not want to bite them. The only thing is, you can't put your fingers in/near your mouth, you taste the stuff even if you are not trying to bite your nails. It is totally worth it though. I'm giving the rest of what I have to my sister, who has bitten her nails since Kindergarten too. Hopefully it will work for her too!

I got this to get my 4 year old daughter to stop biting her nails. She does it without thinking and when the nail is down too far she bites skin off which often times bleeds. The doctor told me it was just a habit she seemed to do out of boredom ( like when she is watching t.v.), but it looked painful. So I saw the reviews on this product and thought I would give it a try. I feel bad saying that I was happy that my daughter threw up, twice!! The taste was so bad to her that she put her hands behind her back to keep from putting them near her mouth! Every now and then she does it without thinking and I know because she comes crying to me that she feels like she is going to throw up again, and so I know what she did and we have a talk about not doing it! It is happening less and less now, I just reapply every other day until she stops completely. I tasted it before I put it on my daughters nails and it really is bad! The taste lingers in your mouth for quite a while. I would recommend this for anyone who needs to stop a bad nail biting or thumb sucking habit.

My daughter will be 9 and still sucks her thumb. She only does this at bedtime or sitting and relaxing watching a movie. We have tried other products with no results. Others did not prevent the thumb-sucking. She couldn't even taste the others! She was even disappointed, wanting to stop this habit herself! Well, you can definately taste this on your thumb, you do not want to stick it in your mouth again. It lasts for 2 days or so. The only downfall is, it gets on your food if you are eating finger foods.The final result is, she stopped the thumb-sucking immediately. We still put it on 3 weeks later just for safe measure because she asks.

We brushed on the polish every other day for a week. Any time he got his thumb in his mouth he would cry and say "yucky!" He cried during a few naps and at times during the night when he would wake up and try sucking his thumb, but it was worth it! He hasn't sucked his thumb again. This product worked very well for us!

Finally something that actually got our 3 year old daughter to quit sucking her thumb. She did throw up a few times the first day of use, but once she learned that putting her thumb in her mouth caused her to get sick she quit. It's been over a month and she's still thumb sucking FREE!!

My son has bitten his nails for over 15 years. I tried the product for sale in most drugstores and it didn't help at all. This stuff is truely nasty(in a good way) and he has not bitten his nails for over a month after his first application. Obviously you have to keep re-applying the product until the habit is broken but the product lasts and the more his nails grow the more motivated he is to continue using it!I recommend it highly!
Great for adults too!

I bought MAVALA Stop for Nail Biting for my brother-in-law. He only needed to use it for a week to stop his nail biting habit. He was able to clip his fingernails for the first time. It does taste bad and he used mouthwash several times the first day but the product does do its job!

We have tried everything for our 8 year old. From "thumb" which just washes off, to socks which he will pull off because they are too hot, we even spent over $300.00 to have a dentist put a bracket in his mouth, which kept popping out. All of this money spent and all we had to do was buy this product. It really does work. It tastes horrible and it does not wash off. You can reapply this every two to three days. I find this little bottle goes a long ways. Our son is so happy now that he does not suck his thumb. Every morning he wakes up and says "I did not suck my thumb last night!!"

I have a 10-year son whose has a nervous habit of biting on his fingers / fingernails. This product worked quickly (in a few days) to help him break this bad habit. It tastes HORRIBLE (as I tried it myself). When I catch him biting on his fingers, I just tell him that we'll have to reapply and he stops immediately (although sometimes I really do have to reapply). Excellent product!
