This product works great! My daughter just turned 7 and would not STOP sucking her thumb. After we got your product i tipped toed into her room, brushed it on. She woke up the first night complaining her thumb doesn't taste good anymore. The next morning she told us for the first time she was going to STOP because her thumb did not taste good anymore and she hasn't! Best of all, because we do this at night she is convinced that she did it on her own and thats the way we will leave it.

We used this for our 4 y/o Daughter who is a chronic thumb-sucker. We used it for aobut 1 week, and by the end of the week, she had completely ceased sucking her thumb. She'll occasionally have "slips" where she'll start it back up, but we bring out the polish and within a day or two, she's stopped again.
Definately recommend this stuff!!! I cost way less to get it through Folica than our dentist who sold it to us at $15.00/bottle!!!

Our 5 yr son has sucked his 3rd and 4th fingers since infancy. The dentist said he needed to stop before his permanent teeth came in, or he would need braces. We saw immediate results the first night he used the product and now even asks to put it on! [although he asked Mommy to use product too; the first time I put my finger in my mouth to get a hang nail- OH! YUCK! Keeps my fingers out of my mouth too} Only draw back- if you touch food or your lips after applying- you will taste product for awhile.

My 13 yr old daughter has been an advid nail bitter FOREVER -- to the point that her fingers look raw. In ten days she had nails -- her nails look great and she is mentally breaking the habit. Fully recommend.

My son is three years old and has been sucking his two fingers since he was about two months old. We tried everything to get him to stop sucking on his fingers. Mavala is amazing! After one application my son stopped sucking his fingers the same day. It has been about one month and he still has not resorted back to sucking his fingers. I could not be any happier with this product.

I purchased this for my fiancee (a nail biter), in hopes that he would have nice looking hands on our wedding day. It really does taste horrible, he stopped biting and his nails actually grew! The only complaint he had, was that he would get a taste of it when eating finger food,ie. popcorn, chips...

Doesn't wash off with normal hand washing. Has been successful with my 4 year old to remember not to suck her thumb, as well as with my 11 year-old-niece to discourage nail biting. Would definately recommend/buy again.

My son has sucked his thumb since birth and at the age of 5 we invested $70 in a "thumb-guard" to stop the habit. The overpriced contraption did not last one night and he just spent time chewing on it.
Mavala Stop was suggested to us by our pediatric dentist and we started using it the day it came in the mail. MY SON HAS NOT SUCKED HIS THUMB FOR THREE WEEKS. He proudly came down the stairs this morning and announced that he forgot to "paint his thumb" last night (put Mavala on it) and that he didn't even try to suck on it! He was thrilled and we are beyond thrilled. I would pay triple the money for this product.
The first two nights were uncomfortable for him without his thumb, but the worst was over after just two nights!!
I tried it on my own thumb and it does NOT burn or sting. It is just a bitter taste.
I would strongly suggest this product for kids who need to break the habit.

My nails are damaged & weak from years of wearing acrylic tips, and I got tips to keep from biting my nails! Now that I am trying to grow my own nails out, I found that I still bite my nails and cuticles-just as I always had. My cuticles are ragged and my fingers often bleed and hurt. BUT, by using this product, I no longer chew on my fingers. The taste of this product is very bitter. The only caveat is that if you wear this & eat food with your fingers--you could get a taste of this as you eat. So I'm now careful with that. This product works.

I bought this product for my daughter, who for years bites not her nails, but the skin around them. We tried evrerything & I saw your product online. It's bee over two weeks & my daughter has not bitten her skin and her fingers look great with the new skin growing back! We couldn't be more satisfied! My daughter will be 5 in about two months, and she has sucked her thumb since she was 4 weeks old. We tried to coax her to stop this habit for the past two years to no avail. She even declared that she would stop when she turned 4 - but she didn't/couldn't. She told me many times that she wanted to stop but that she couldn't. So I told her I would get something that would help her. I bought Mavala because it had excellent reviews. I was skeptical that it would work but figured that I could at least write a negatie review if it didn't work. One week ago today, I put the product on her thumb nail under fingernail polish. The first time she put it in her mouth she made a terrible face and began to whine and cry for about 15 minutes. Then, she stoped crying and I haven't seen her suck her thumb since. I am absolutely amazed and dumbfounded! Thank you!

This stuff tasted bitter but did the job for my 8 & 10 y.o. night time thumb sucking. Mavala STOP also helped a secondary problem of eating with fingers at the table. We put a little of this on their index finger and the kids soon started remembering to use their fork! WIsh I had found this a long time ago. We needed this product years ago!

My son bit his nails pretty much non-stop, especially when focusing on something else, such as during his little league baseball games. Since using the Mavala Stop, he has only tried to bite them twice. Emphasis on the word "tried": his finger would touch his lips, he'd pull his hand away immediately, make a horrible face, and drool like a rabid animal till he rinsed his mouth out. He applies the "polish" himself, once in the morning every day, and for the first time in years his nails are long enough to need cutting. No more bandaids on his torn cuticles either! I couldn't be happier, and have recommended this product to everyone I can think of. Two good-looking thumbs up!

My 4 year old developed a bad habit of biting her nails & skin. I tried a product readily available in stores and she was sucking it off & back to biting her nails right away, so I ordered this. Within 1 day she was biting them much less. It's been a little over a week and she rarely bites them anymore. You do need to be diligent & reapply frequently (daily/every other day).

My daughter wanted to stop sucking her thumb and tried everything. We ordered this for her and used it for 5 days and left on vacation for 5 days and forgot it. She did not suck her thumb at all during the time away. Five days is all it took! Great product. My daughter was very happy with it.

This is very fast drying and does leave a taste so bitter, you dare not put your fingers in your mouth.
However, the majority of the polish tends to rinse away in water, so I have to reapply it every day, usually after a shower.

This product works so well I used it also (purchased for 2 year old nail biter). I bite also but the taste is so bad it will make you stop. We tried a store brand (inexpensive)and my son kept biting. Not with this one. He would bite My Wifes nails and she used it too. He just made a face and did not do it anymore.

Mavala is my saviour!. After countless years(in fact 25 years)of biting my nails, hiding my hands, applying countless sets of nail damaging acrylic and gel nails trying many other products to stop the habit, with Mavala I have miracously stopped. While its only been 4 weeks I don't have the temptation to bite my nails or put my hands near my mouth anymore and will continue to use this until I feel no desire to do so. All I can say to any long term nail biters out there give it a try, while the taste is disgusting its a real repellant. What is great is that you put it on over a clear nail hardening polish and sit back and watch your nails grow. Make sure you apply it every 2 days especially if you are in constant contact with water. I was determined to have long natural looking nails for my wedding at the end of the year and for the first time in my life have a manicure and with the help of Mavala this is looking promising. I intend to keep readers posted with the results. Thankyou Mavala with your product I have finally kicked a lifetime habit and are committed to keeping it that way.

It worked GREAT day one for my 1 1/2 year old. Now she sucks much less, but still sucks her fingers.
