I was feeling anxious about my job lately and have found myself biting my nails more than ever, so I gave this product a try. Just a dab at the tip of my fingernail was enough to remind me to keep my fingers out of my mouth. It lasts for days and really is bitter! You have to be careful with foods you eat with your fingers. Even wiping your mouth with a napkin can leave bitter residue on your lips. This product is clear but dries to be quite glossy, especially for men, but it does work.

It tastes gross but all of the products do (even less expensive ones). Why this product is better than all the others is that the taste stays on your nails (and in your mouth) longer. Other products tell you to reapply the polish every time you wash your hands while this one says every other day. While I needed to apply more than every other day to get the taste strong, I only needed to apply every night instead of a few days a day like I would have had to with other polishes. The product's taste works so well that my boyfriend could even taste it when he kissed me and I could taste it on finger-food. Even after I had stopped biting my nails, the taste spreads; so if I touched my lips or near my mouth the taste eventually got into my mouth and my boyfriend complained! Of course this doesn't sound like fun but it does give an incentive to stop so you don't have to endure the constant taste! Finally, the taste stays in your mouth for awhile as well, especially if it was applied to your nails the same day so you can't miss its presence!

I am 54, and, until very recently, had very embarrassing nails. Plus, let's face it - biting your nails looks awful and is extremely unprofessional in the business envirnoment. I had tried everything and I mean EVERYTHING. This works....and my wife and daughter are amazed!!! This is a clear liquid, with the most horrible taste...NO WAY you can bite your nals if you have this on them.
I only wish I had known about this earlier.

I am a 28 year old nail biter, and for the first time in my life, I can finally see the whites growing at the ends of my nails. As for my 4 year old... the taste doesn't even phase him, so he's still happily sucking his thumb. But as for this chick... I am giving an awesome review! Nothing else has ever worked for me!

My 9 year old son only sucked his thumb when he was at home with me (while going to sleep and before waking in the morning) -- not at sleep overs or at any other time. He wanted to stop but couldn't. The taste of the product made him remove his thumb from his mouth immediately. It's been 2 weeks now and I've watched while he is asleep and he doesn't even try to put his thumb in his mouth!!!

My 7 year old had a bad habit of biting his nails. I tried over the counter medecine and did not work. So I decided to try this product and after two weeks of using it I finally see the nails growing.It is an excellent product I highly recommend it for all ages. It has a biter taste to it and it works. Thanks Folica.

I thought this product might help my son stop sucking his thumb, but it has not. It helped for a few days, but he's determined!!! He has, though, stopped his nail biting.

With only 3 applications of Mavala Stop, my 5 3/4 year old daughter stopped sucking her thumb. We tried so many ways to stop this habit and nothing worked. Our dentist recommened Mavala Stop and now I know why.

To avoid nail bitting, I had been spending a lot of TIME and MONEY getting acrylic nails for the past 10 years. I have tried different nail bitting polishes. But, nothing sees to work. Doing my own reseach for a solution, I came across Folica wedsite;MAVALA STOP. To my surprise, it works. My nails have grown over the last 3 weeks after applying the polish. The taste is horrible,which will quickly reminds you not to bit. After several hand washing and dishwashing, MAVALA STOP is still there. So you don't have to apply is everyday. Yes, I do highly recommend it. It will save the Acrylic Nail (bitten) Queen Money.

My almost 3 year old was chewing his fingernails and toenails so badly that they would bleed. He would then move on to the skin around them. It was painful and looked horrible.
In ONE DAY, he no longer attempted to put his fingers or toes in his mouth.
It worked for my 10 year old until he discovered that he could soak his fingers and scrape it off the nails. I solved that problem by re-painting after bathtime.
It's been over a month and I only had to apply it for about a week and a half.
The taste is very strong and it lingers. I tried it myself and it took about five minutes to get the taste to go away completely.
I'm convinced that this product saved my baby boy from pain and potential infections.

I have bitten my nails as long as I can remember. I have never been able to paint them for fear of drawing more attention to them. This product has stopped me from biting my nails. It tastes so terrible that there is no way that I can bite them. It has been three weeks and now my fingernails look normal. I am almost ready to go celebrate and get a manicure.

My 8 year old daughter had sucked her thumb since birth. She was ready to quit sucking, but was having a difficult time breaking the habit. When she was tired or upset she would automatically pop her thumb in her mouth without realizing what she was doing. MAVALA stop worked great. It has been a month and no more sucking. She still has us paint her nails with "the yucky stuff" because she still has the urge to suck her thumb. It's great not having to constantly ask her to take her thumb out of her mouth. MAVALA stop tastes horrable and she has only accidentally put her thumb in her mouth about 2 times since we started using it. She is so happy and proud of herself. I'm glad we found this product because it gave my daughter the extra help she needed to kick the thumb sucking habit.

A month ago our 3-year-old son was sucking his thumb day and night. The first night with Mavala Stop was hard. The next couple days he only complained if he forgot and stuck his thumb in his mouth without realizing it. We haven't had to stop him since. We're still applying it, but less often. So far so good.

I have chewed on my nails as long as I can remember, and never had insentive to stop until my 4 year old picked up the habit, and chews her nails to nothing. I used this product, and it was so nasty, I stopped chewing my nails. I haven't gone back, and it's so cool to have nails for the first time in my life! Still working on my daughter, but hopefully I'll break her of it soon. I recommend this product.

This stuff worked for about 1 week on my daughter. I put it on her every night when she was asleep so she didn't know. But gradually, day by day she would still put her fingers in her mouth. Sometimes I would put it on twice a day and even painted her whole fingertips with it and 2 minutes later she still had her fingers in her mouth. I guess she got use to the taste. She is too strong willed and when she wants to do something, she is going to do it. No matter what is in her way. This product was not worth the money for me but all situations are different. Good luck!

I bought this product for my 7 year old son hoping he would stop biting his nails. This product did not even phase him and did not work for us.
