This stuff really works!! I was skeptical at first. My 6-yr old daughter really loved to suck her thumb. She had no intentions of stopping anytime soon. When I told her about this product she was not happy at first, but she decided that maybe it was time. She has not sucked her thumb since the first time I put it on her!! Every now and then she will put her thumb up to her mouth out of habit, but then she remembers how bad it tastes. We have plenty left in case of any relapses. Mavala Stop is worth every penny and more! I have already recommended this to many people. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!

I don't usually submit reviews for products but my 2 year old has been sucking her bowling fingers since birth. I tried everything and the pediatric dentist suggested we try Mavala Stop. It's only been two days since I first used it but my daughter has not put her fingers in her mouth once! I am recommending it to every parent I know for their children with finger/thumb sucking problems.

My son has been sucking him thumb day and night for past 3 years. I tried several different things to avoid it but absolutely nothing worked. I even bought a thumb guard but he would keep chewing on the plastic bandage. A little apprehensively I put this product on his nails. I tasted it myself before I did so, but I could tolerate it. However he found it really yucky and stopped sucking him thumb next day onwards! He sleeps without his thumb in his mouth and that's like a miracle for me!!

My daughter is 4 years old and was a habitual thumb sucker. One application of this nasty tasting stuff stopped her thumb sucking instantly.

My 12 year old daughter has struggled for years with a bad nail bitting habit. She would bit so far down that I worried about her getting an infection (so it was not just a cosmetic problem). Mavala Stop really did the trick. She applies it to her nails every two to three days and it keeps her fingers out of her mouth because of the bad taste. It is a constant reminder. Breaking a bad habit is not easy, but this product really made a difference

Tried this product on my 5 year old daughter whose nails are so short from biting incessantly. All that are left are cuticles! This stuff was just as useless as anything else we've tried. It tasted bad for the first couple hours, then forget it!! Didnt stop her one bit. The taste wears off just like all the others we've bought. And as far as applying over polish....that didnt help at all....still kept biting as if not even there! Nothing works!!!

I love this stuff (mavala), my 7 and 5 year old daughters could not stop sucking their thumbs. Within 10 days they have stopped. Wished I would have looked into this sooner, better late than never.

I have 2 nail biters and 1 thumbsucker (age range 13 - 4)...all of them immediately stopped putting their fingers in their mouths! We are on our 2nd or 3rd week of using this product. I tasted it and it does taste HORRIBLE and the horrible taste lasts a long time!!!! Thank you.

i recently bought this item because it was recommended by a friend but my 18 month old daughter will not stop sucking that thumb. at first she noticed that i had put it on her finger but every since she just sits back and takes it. there was no change with her. i guess i have to wait until she is older.

Earlier I said my 1 1/2 year old got use to the taste. Well I kept putting the product on her fingers anyway and a month later, SHE DOESN'T SUCK HER FINGERS AT ALL!!! IT WORKS. Now I just have to continue using on myself a 30 year nail biter. I have stopped biting my nails but still try and bite the skin around my nails. I'm sure if I start using it every other day I'll biting my nail/skin all together too.
this stuff really works I have a 5 y.o. who is a big sucker. Try it !!

When I would tell my 8 year old to quit sucking her thumb, she would jokingly tell her thumb, "don't listen to him, I love you thumb." She worried that she wouldn't be able to sleep and had several excuses. The first night she accidently put her thumb in her mouth and cried. She brushed her teeth and was fine. She hasn't sucked her thumb since. She's proud of herself, I'm proud of her. Its a miracle.
It took a while but I think it has worked

We have tried a lot of other products including other nail products but this has worked the best. It stays on through hand washing and bath and she can't take it off at night to suck on while she is sleeping. It has been a long time since I've caught my daughter with her thumb in her mouth.

My five year old son had ruined his teeth sucking his thumb. He was also getting really bad canker sores. He wanted to stop but the habit was just too hard to break. We tried everything, including other paint on things and nothing worked. He was really disappointed in himself for not being able to quit even though he would try so hard. Our dentist suggested that we have an appliance placed in his mouth. The pediadontist couldn't get us in for a few months so I decided to check the internet one last time for a cheaper way. I read all the reviews and decided to try Mavolo Stop. For less than ten bucks it was worth a try.
It worked perfectly. With other things my son would just endure the bad taste, but Mavolo was too bad even for him. He tried washing it off several times, but never did figure out how to get rid of it. It is very long lasting and potent. It is nice because you don't have to reapply it very often so it was easy to persuade him to put it on when he was in a good mood.
Even though the product worked perfectly, it was a difficult first week. Sometimes he would be so proud of himself for quitting and then other times he would cry and complain. After one hard day at school he really wanted to suck his thumb and he told me "The worst day of my life was the day that stuff came in the mail." He also had a hard time getting to sleep at night and was up past midnight for about five days. It was heartbreaking to watch him struggle. It was stressful for the whole family! But it worked and now things have gotten much easier. Mavolo saved me $275 because I can cancel that appointment to get his appliance put in. Hooray!

Terrific solution! I told my daughter that the "nail biting fairy" was coming to sprinkle fairy dust on her nails and that in the morning she wouldn't like to bite her nails anymore, and, it worked! I didn't re-apply it for a week and she did not bite. however, it should be applied several times because she did bite two of her nails again after a week

I have 4 year old twin boys. They both are finger suckers. I applied this product to their fingers, and both children disliked the taste very much. One of the boys stopped sucking his fingers immediately and it only had to be reapplied once. My other son was able to suck through the taste and we re applied the product many times and he was able to just keep on sucking his fingers. I am going to give him a few weeks and try the product again. Apparently there needs to be some motivation on the part of the child for this product to work.
