Mavala works well for me. I have a very stressful job and this product helps me control the habit of biting my nails in front of the computer. As a matter of fact, just after 4 weeks of using the product my nails are long again and have a healthy shine.
Did not have any improvements after using the product on my 2 year old.

I bought the product for my 2 year old daughter who puts her fingers in her mouth and chews her fingernails. The very first time she put her fingers in her mouth after I put the product on her fingernails she did notice something was different and wrinkled up her nose and said yucky. That was the only affect it had on her though. We have been using the product for a month now, but there is no improvement. She still puts her fingers in her mouth and chews her fingernails. The product did not help her.
it works on adults my kids on other hand...

My wife had eaten her nails for ..all her life but now she has stopped for the last few weeks and her nails look very nice. My 3 year old stopped sucking his thumb for a day or two but now sucks away with it on ...he is very stubborn. My daughter only sucks her thumb if we forget to put the stop on her and the last son has stopped as far as we can tell. So 2 out of 4 is good odds . Hope this helps.

My 16 year old daughter was once again biting her nails. She told me nothing would stop her which I took as a challenge. I saw this online and decided to give it a try. She stopped biting in less than a week and is now proud of her nails.

This product worked great! My daughter no longer sucks her thumb. And my son no longer sucks his two fingers. I had used another product but they still continued to suck their thumb & fingers. But with this product they are doing great! NO more sucking of the fingers!

My 1 year old daughter had a habit of sucking her fingers. My dentist recommended the use of vinegar, but I found this product instead. I dabbed just a little on the tip of her fingers. This product has a strong smell and is very bitter! The first day, she vomited several times. She wised up immediately because the very next day, she stopped sucking her fingers. This product worked fast and most importantly, it saved me from having a huge dental bill in the future!

I have a nearly 6 year old who sucks her thumb mainly when resting or going to sleep. Imitating some little neighborhood boys, the past year she has started sucking more rather then less! It was time to take action. I hunted on the net and this product had consistently the same positive feedback, 4 weeks in and she has only sucked her thumb twice and both times when I had failed to apply the product. It has a sharp enough sscent that it reminds her of her commitment no to suck her thumb before the thumb even reaches her mouth! Now, my 3 year old nail biter who is a real hard head has not yet stopped biting, but she is more aware of the problem and likes painting on the product, so I am hopeful!

Sooo... my boyfriend, a nail biter for the past 24 years of his life just QUIT... in a high stress environment (the Army), he was able to finally quit with this stuff!!!

This stuff really works!! I was skeptical at first. My 6-yr old daughter really loved to suck her thumb. She had no intentions of stopping anytime soon. When I told her about this product she was not happy at first, but she decided that maybe it was time. She has not sucked her thumb since the first time I put it on her!! Every now and then she will put her thumb up to her mouth out of habit, but then she remembers how bad it tastes. We have plenty left in case of any relapses. Mavala Stop is worth every penny and more! I have already recommended this to many people. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!

I don't usually submit reviews for products but my 2 year old has been sucking her bowling fingers since birth. I tried everything and the pediatric dentist suggested we try Mavala Stop. It's only been two days since I first used it but my daughter has not put her fingers in her mouth once! I am recommending it to every parent I know for their children with finger/thumb sucking problems.

My son has been sucking him thumb day and night for past 3 years. I tried several different things to avoid it but absolutely nothing worked. I even bought a thumb guard but he would keep chewing on the plastic bandage. A little apprehensively I put this product on his nails. I tasted it myself before I did so, but I could tolerate it. However he found it really yucky and stopped sucking him thumb next day onwards! He sleeps without his thumb in his mouth and that's like a miracle for me!!

My 12 year old daughter has struggled for years with a bad nail bitting habit. She would bit so far down that I worried about her getting an infection (so it was not just a cosmetic problem). Mavala Stop really did the trick. She applies it to her nails every two to three days and it keeps her fingers out of her mouth because of the bad taste. It is a constant reminder. Breaking a bad habit is not easy, but this product really made a difference

Tried this product on my 5 year old daughter whose nails are so short from biting incessantly. All that are left are cuticles! This stuff was just as useless as anything else we've tried. It tasted bad for the first couple hours, then forget it!! Didnt stop her one bit. The taste wears off just like all the others we've bought. And as far as applying over polish....that didnt help at all....still kept biting as if not even there! Nothing works!!!

I love this stuff (mavala), my 7 and 5 year old daughters could not stop sucking their thumbs. Within 10 days they have stopped. Wished I would have looked into this sooner, better late than never.

I have 2 nail biters and 1 thumbsucker (age range 13 - 4)...all of them immediately stopped putting their fingers in their mouths! We are on our 2nd or 3rd week of using this product. I tasted it and it does taste HORRIBLE and the horrible taste lasts a long time!!!! Thank you.
