My 4 year old had sucked her thumb for about 1 year after picking it up from my 2 year old. While my younger one sucks her thumb on occasion, my 4 year old daughter sucked her thumb from sun up to sun down. The persistance of her thumb sucking was starting to become a social problem, instead of interacting with other children at preschool she would stand off by herself sucking her thumb. She is an incredibly sensitive child and I was hesitant to try and get her to stop sucking her thumb. After much persuasion from her pediatrician and dentist, I started looking for thumb sucking solutions. I read all the great reviews for MAVALA and decided to give it a try. WOW!! This stuff is amazing, like magic, my daughter only tried to put her thumb in her mouth twice more after applying it to her thumb nail. She has not sucked her thumb in almost 3 weeks now. I have recommended it to everyone I know that is looking for a quick and relatively pain-free solution to thumb sucking, this stuff is FANTASTIC!

I tried everything, including punishment, such as time out and tape on the fingers, to get my daughter Allyson, almost 4, to stop sucking her thumb. She asked me for help because she wanted to stop sucking her thumb, but couldn't. I ordered Mavala Stop and the day it came in the mail, she volunteered her thumbs right away. It worked the first day! She put her thumb in her mouth and tasted the product on her thumb nail and had to run to the bathroom and spit it out. Three days after we started using it, I have noticed she doesn't even slip and get her thumb in her mouth at all. She has even stopped sucking her thumb in her sleep. I put some on my thumb and tasted it to make sure that it wasn't going to be a taste that she could get used to. It was so gross I had to get up and go to the bathroom to spit and rinse. Getting Mavala Stop in your mouth is enough punishment to make anyone not put their hands in their mouth! This is the best product! I have told all my friends who have thumb suckers, nail biters, and nose pickers!

This product seemed to work for my 5 year old son but after a couple of days he was back to sucking his thumb. He eventually stopped on his own when we told him that he lost his first tooth because he sucked his thumb. That may sound cruel to some but it worked like a charm! He hasn't sucked his thumb for over a month now. Not only did that little white lie help with sucking his thumb but it also has him very motivated about brushing his teeth every morning and evening. He actually enjoys flossing!!
Now he can focus on the thing he loves the most, SOCCER!

Do you know how annoying is the sound of fingers being sucked when you're trying to sleep? I do!
My daughter (2 years old) got this finger sucking (left hand, two middle fingers) habit that was destroying her fingers and teeth - and that smell! Anyway after only a single use of Mavala stop, the habit died with in 3 days and 5 days now not even a relapse – no more finger sucking. This is wonderful, a blessing to our family and money saver to the dentist. I am a skeptic proved wrong .This solution works when all else failed! Thanks Mavala

My 8 year old daughter was a hard core thumb sucker. We tried absolutely everything you could think of! We were one step away from putting in a habit device. She spent 2 years in a pallet expander after her pallet collapsed due the thumb sucking. That didn't stop her from sucking her thumb. After finding this product and trying it, she is 100% free of the thumb. She is so happy and she was so very ready to stop. She just couldn't without help. This was the product for us! I'm taking it to the dentist with us next week so they can recommend it to their patients as well!!

My 7 year old, Zander, has sucked his thumb since infancy. He has already caused damage to his front teeth and jaw and we had tried everything to help him stop. Nothing worked, until now!
His dentist recommended MAVALA so I came online and found it. I was hesitant, as we had tried topical remedies in the past, to no avail. I am proud to say that it has been three weeks since Zander put his thumb in his mouth. Three weeks!
This is an excellent product that truly works!

I put some of this product on his finger and also told him when he starts to get bigger his thumb will taste funny,well it worked and he has stopped sucking his thumb.Thanks to Mavala !!!!

My seven year old daughter sucked her first two fingers on her right hand almost since birth. Then when she was about 18 months old she added in her left index finger UP her nose. It was a combination thing. It drove me crazy. This product was a God send. We tried EVERYTHING. I talked to my daughter for years about how eventually kids will make fun of her. I ordered the Stop and got it the day before she started second grade. It worked almost overnight! She has relapses every now and then and i just mention putting the Stop back on and she STOPS!
We were amazed!

We decided to try this product because our son was developing an overbite. His doctor told us he would probably need orthodonics if he continued but that it was our judgement call weather or not to take action to try to get him to stop. Well we tried talking to him, bribing him etc, etc...nothing worked in fact it seemed to make him do it more.
After reading all the good reviews on this product we decided to give it a try. I sat my son down and told him about how we would paint it on his nail and that it tasted bad and it would help remind him not to suck his thumb. He told us he was ready to quit and wanted help so he offered his thumbs for us to paint and for three weeks now he has not sucked his thumb!!! Mavala tastes really bitter it is not spicy, he tasted it once and kept spitting and saying "YUCK!!" The first week was difficult and he would wake at night and it was harder for him to settle down to sleep. Every night he would tell me that It is so hard to not suck his thumb and how he was really really trying hard. We painted his thumbnails every 2 days for the first 2 weeks. This week has been his third week and I think I painted his nail 4 days ago and he has still not sucked it.
This is a great product! It has worked wonders! He is so proud of himself that he has not sucked his thumb in so long!

This product really does work. I was skeptical at first, because other products like this did not phase my 2 1/2 year olds. They were thumb sucker's and nail biter's and we couldn't get them to stop. I found this product on the internet and decided to give it a try. It worked on the first try. It's distinct taste keeps them from putting their fingers in their mouth's. This product is worth a try, even for the price. If I can afford it with quadruplets, then you can!

This product, known as "MALVO" in our house, quickly (2 weeks)cured my 4 year old of finger sucking. Athough I must admit she was motivated, though unable, to stop the habit. I felt the product was a miracle.
My 2 1/2 year old was started early on "MALVO" due to a wedding he as going to be in. While the product worked initially, a week later he seems to have sucked his way through it. We are not giving up that easy.

My four year old son has sucked his thumb since he was a baby. I kept telling doctors how I was worried about this. They kept telling me not to worry about it and he will stop on his own. He couldn't. He wanted to but it was a habbit, he needed help. I searched on-line and this looked the best. Two weeks later he no longer put his thumb in his mouth. When he sees other kids doing it he says "Yucky."

I have 4 year old triplets. 2 of them were finger suckers! I decided to take extra steps to get them to stop this nasty habit! I ordered this product and they were a little stubborn at 1st but with consistency and determination it really stopped both of them! I prayed about, used Mavala, and a glove (which I had been using before). I am so happy that they no longer suck their fingers ;-)

We tried this product on both of my chilren. My son (age 9) bites his fingernails and my daughter (age 7) continues to sucks her thumb. My dentist recommended this product and heard that it worked wonders. Both of my children chewed/sucked right through it. Disappointing.

I did not believe that this produce could do what I said that it could do but I bought it anyway. My daughter who just turned 5 has been sucking two fingers since she is born I have tried eveything, things that have cost much more then this product and they did not work. My husband said as a last resort try it it cannot hurt. When I got the package my daughter was excited because we were going to help her stop. It took about one day and that was it. It has been a month now with no relapse. This product is great!!

I'd tried everything I could think of to stop my son from sucking his fingers. I found MAVALA Stop using WebMD and decided to give it a try. It worked with the first application. My son tried to suck his fingers after I applied it, but he immediately took his fingers from his mouth. Now, you can't even make him put his fingers in his mouth. This product has saved us from a large dental bill.

My daughter is 8 years old. We could not get her to stop sucking her thumb. We bought expensive thumbguards. She was strong enough to pull it off at night. She even chewed on the plastic. I had made an appointment with her dentist to have the bar put in the roof of her mouth. I did not want to have to go that route, but I was desperate. I found Mavala on the internet. We began using it, and she only put her thumb in her mouth once during the day. Then one night while she was sleeping. She said it was horrible. We continue to put it on her thumb just to make sure the habit is gone, but she shows no desire to suck her thumb. My daughters self-esteem has increased dramatically. She wanted to quit before, but just could not. Mavala made her successful at stopping. Love it!!!! Highly reccomend it.

my daughter is 4.5 years, since she was 2 months old, she started to suck her thumb then 2 fingers... she is doing that while she is watching TV, listening to people, even playing...i was concern about her fingers, nails as well as teeth !! for more than 2 years i tried everything you can imagine to stop her doing that.. recently she started sucking the fingers and twisting her hair and could not remove the hair from fingers so she would pull it out and bring me a ball of hair !!! she drove me crazy..
3 weeks ago i started to search on internet for products other than one available on shelves on the pharmacy.. and finally found MAVALA STOP.. and guess one frome the first day she stopped sucking, twisting ... and its over... thank you for such product and i recommend it %100 ..

I just used this for the first time tonight for my little guy (17months). He and my niece (2 years) are determined thumb suckers. He threw up once so far after sucking his thumb the stuff tastes so bad. He cried a bit so I see a lot of hugs, cuddles and support in our future....but for the first time he's sleeping without sucking his thumb! YAHOO! Now maybe that blister will finally heal....Next is my niece!

I was recently recommended this product and bought it for my 4 year old daughter. I have tried many tricks to get her to quit sucking her pointer finger for the past 2 years. She used to have her finger in her mouth ALL the time, tv, car, bed, you name it! She actually threw up 3 times on the first day I applied to her fingernails - it tasts that BAD! At first I wasn't sure if I'd made a mistake using it. But she has not once put her finger in her mouth since! I can't even believe it. It must have made a psychological break with the comfort she was receiving from sucking. I'm so thrilled. (And kinda feel bad.)
