i used just for men and it burnt me real bad i have blisters all over my face and head i have puss thats keeps coming out i have not worked in 2 weeks every time i go outside it gets worse so i cant go out unless its night time, i have been to the er 4 times the have gave me meds noeven that helps,this product is unsaft and should be pulled from the shelf, it hurts help real bad

i agree with all those above who found this product to cause itching, burning and rash on the skin. it HAS to be something that they have changed in the ingriedients and this must be recent because in years past I used their beard and sideburn coloring with no side effects. The itching, burning and rash from the beard coloring is only recent.

Add me to the list, I have used the dark brown beard coloring probably 10 times in the past year with no problems at all, it worked great and had no harsh odors. I thought when mixing this latest box I smelled something different but just thought I was imagining it. So now five hours later, everywhere I put this stuff is raised "hive like" and burns like acid has been put on my skin and as an added bonus, it itches like mad. What the hell? I put aloe vera sunburn gel over the area and it burned even worse but after ten minutes has diminished the pain quite a bit. Anyone else have any luck with topical treatments?
I'm now under my GP for itching scalp & forehead

I used Just For Men for many years with no problems. However, since they changed the 'Developer' to a gel, my hair and forehead burns and itches for weeks after each application. When I visited my G.P about this I didn't admit to using a hair colourant, so maybe she didn't have all the necessary facts. Last time I used it, I took the precaution of smearing Vaseline over my forehead in the hope it would prevent the product touching it. Unfortunately this did not work and friends immediately commented on the state of my forehead. They didn't know how much the whole of my scalp was itching and keeping me awake at night.
Thank goodness for a website such as this as I would never have known this was a widespread problem.
Like every other contributor, I've never seen any comment from the company about the change of formula and they must surely know about the problem by now. Is their Managing Director stupid, or something, or do they sell so much of it they couldn't care less?
I noticing that several other users had complained they'd seen no adverse reports from the manufacturers, I emailed them with my experience.
Give them their due, they replied within an hour and quite simply they said 'Stop using Just For Men.'
So there you have it from the horse's mouth.
Don't want to go back to being grey, but what is one supposed to do?

Sorry to here about problems with the beard product. The product for the hair on your head is great. Awesome love it. I have used this product for seven years now. The only problem I have is finding my shade "light sandy blonde". When I do find it I buy the whole stash 5,6,7 whatever. My wife spends $200 and 2 hrs a pop at her salon and hates that I can get great color in five minutes for $10. I can't beleive these products are rated so poorly.
Best of luck I tried the permanant color in a chair for 45 min for $80. Not for me.
Just for men? Not any more!

Like other reviewers on here, I have used this product for about 5 years without problems. However, this new 'improved' formula nearly burned my face off! The symptoms are the same as other users on here - hives,redness and a burning sensation. The old formula was fine - why did the manufacturers decide to change it? I cant use it anymore. Beard is off now.

I used this for the second time 72 hours ago for my beard .... leaving it in for the recommended < 5 minutes. All HELL has broken loose. my entire face is burned, red and irritated... and I am in extreme discomfort...not to mention I look horrible. I am trying an OTC hydrocortisone cream to see if that helps.....I can belive this product has been allowed on the market - STAY AWAY from this produt at all costs.

I tried the product to reduce the greyness in my beard and only used a very small amount. I did not want all the grey gone because I wanted to look natural and match my hair on my head...Wow, this stuff caused severe itching and a rash that blistered all around my mouth and chin...Does anyone have a thought on what works without this type of reaction?
Please Return to old formula or sell both formulas

My husband used your old formula for years and it worked great! He tried the new formula and had a bad reaction to it. Why did you feel the need to change the formula? It has really made his life miserable. Please return to the old formula or sell both formulas. Therefore, the customer can choose the one that works for them.

Thank goodness I did the patch test with the hair die product. 2 days later my test area is ON FIRE. I so glad I did not smear this all over my head! Also, I've used the beard jell several times in the past with no problems. This time, it has been itching like crazy for 5 straight days.
I'd rather be grey!
Stay away from this product!

I used just for men for about a year,loved it it was perfect had no problems at all with the product,well then they came out with the new formula and it was all down hill from there,i put it on in the day and it burned a little more than normal,thats ok but that night i woke in the middle of the night with my face on fire and breaking out in hives,well for the next two weeks i was in pain and had puss seeping from my beard,it was so bad i couldnt even shave it off,i had to carry i hand towel with me everywhere to dab the puss which seeped out 24/7,ill never use it again unless they bring the old formula back,id be intrested to know if theres been any sort of reponse from the company,if anyones heard please write it in here,cheeers

Bought this by accident instead of the gel. Very messy and hard to use. It also stained my shower and I had a heck of a time getting it off.

I'd used J.F.M. in the past without any problems. NOW, I used it and, while using the "Light Brown" the lightest color available for a brown haired person, it went almost JET BLACK in the "timed" 5 minutes. Actually, it was even less than 5 minutes. IF I WAS A LAWYER I'D SUE THIS COMPANY. In the past, their light brown was nearly perfect. DID they change the formula? If so, they better change it back, because I'm going to be blabbing all about this crap to my buddies. DO NOT USE. Now... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED and you can't complain to anyone about being ignorant. I hadn't heard this stuff makes your hair fall out, but I wouldn't doubt it either. It made my hair feel so STIFF... can't be good for your hair. IF I ever do color my hair, I'll let the professionals do it.

thia stuff was the best! i used it for years with great results. but now with the new formula it sucks!!! my face is burned and blistered. i'm in pain and it looks awful. i shaved off my beard of 4 years today. please go back to the good formula.

I have used this product for several years with great results. Then they changed the formula and it has produced burns and hives. I have never had a allergic reaction to anything but this stuff is like acid.
Make sure you do the skin BEFORE you use it to make sure your system can handle it.
GO BACK TO THE OLD FORMULA

I have been using this product for awhile and it has changed. The New formula leaves my hair with uneven color and irritates the skin slightly. It seems that the old formula performs better and lasts longer.

I used the HCFM mustache and beard product for a few years without problem, but this new formula is terrible. It has burned my skin and makes my lips peel, this is still burning and peeling 2 weeks afer I discontinued use. According to reports here it is not just me, this stuff is like acid. Apparantly they recently changed the formula which is causing this problem. Are there any other products to try?

you know the old formula was awesome i used it all the time with no problems ,then they change the box well that's not all they change,they changed what was inside the box,the fist time i used the new formula my hair started falling out ,i thought maybe i left it on to long well i've tried it a few times after that and yep you guessed it same results so i've stopped useing it ,and yes it does burn just beware of this product..my advice to the company go back to the old formula
