Great easy to use product
Burning Rash on Face, Neck and Chest after one week

I have tried Just for Men for the first time in October 2006, after the second application, I started to notice an itchy feeling next to my ears, then it progressed to the rest of face and then neck. The rash persisted for a week getting progressively worse each day, unbearable itch and burning. I finally used Neutragena T-Gel 1 percent coal tar for shampoo and put Hydrocortison 1 percent cream on the affected area every 2-3 hours (whenever the itch started again) washing the face and other affected areas thoroughly each time with Apricot Medicated Face Wash-and after a day the rash started to settle down--24 hours after I started this process I am starting to feel better again. Hope this info helps anyone adversley affected by this product.

I used this product twice with no ill effects and decent coloration but the third time had blistering and redness with serous oozing and extreme itching and burning. After shaving my goatee the skin remained reddened and itchy for about a week. How many guys have run into this problem is a big question; where is the company response?

This to me, after actually seeing the numbers of others complaints,mostly from loyal JFM customers, shows a lack of quality, and the three men who actually believe the product is still good probably got their hands on an old batch, these burns are un acceptable, and they could possibly be sued for their cutting corners......If I were the president of their company I would have this product off the shelves yesterday!!!

I have experienced the same as several who have posted reviews here. I've used the old formula for several months - no problem. After a week of this new formula - my lips are chapped - in the middle of summer!
Don't buy it!

I used the Medium Brown shade for about 7 years or more without a problem. Then the last two boxes (new formula) resulted in an itching sensation that I could not tolerate. I wish they would go back to the original formula.

Like a lot of other people here, I had used Just for Men for years. But ever since they changed formulas, I can no longer use the product. I break out in a rash that keeps itching for days. Too bad they changed it... it used to be great and I would be willing to pay double the current price if the old formula was back!
This product line works well with following method.

Well in order for you to get best results once you mix and apply and are finished i notice by waiting 40 min will completely cover gray areas i dont care how grey the hair is but if you only leave on 5 min you get feeble results.I cant say this product makes me burn or get flakes of any kind.I guess other readers are haing reactions which everyone reacts differently just like medications.

Have used the product for almost 2 years no problem, but the last 2 applications have been hell, the last forcing me to shave my beard of 20 years to reveal my whole chin and one cheek oozing with pus, extremely painful and indescribably itchy, couldn't go out in public and missed a week of work, beware.
If it ain't broke don't fix it

I have been using just for men since 1994 and I was very pleased with the results and ease of use. Then they changed the formula and now it burns my skin and itches to the point of tearing the skin. I have had to see a dermatologist to correct the problem and have since stopped buying the product. If your goal is to keep and increase your customer base this is the worst move you could have made. I now use Grecian 5 for my beard and it works great!

For years I had been using this product on my mustache with great success and without any reaction or side effect. As a matter of fact, the results were so amazing that I grew a goatee and found continued success. Then the new formula came out and everything changed. I began to notice great discomfort, a burning sensation, and lots of flaking. First, I thought it must be dry skin. Then I wondered if it was a case of dandruff. Could not take it any longer so I shaved off the goatee (keeping the mustache) only to discover massive chemical burns and scabs on the chin. Am currently treating affected area and now must contemplate shaving mustache with similar symptoms. My wife of 26 years said if I ever shaved off the "stache", she would divorce me as it makes me look very mean. So, thanks for putting me in this predicament. I have no idea what you were thinking or trying to accomplish with the new formula, but I believe you need to show some accountability to your loyal consumers.

I purchased this product a few weeks ago to dye my beard which was getting pretty salt & pepper. I followed the directions and did the 48 hour skin patch test with no reaction. On the 3 rd day I proceeded to dye my beard and was impressed with the results. On the 4th day I was awakened at approx. 200am with a horrible itching and burning sensation. My skin under the beard was so red it was maroon. There were blisters oozing fluid and my skin felt so tight I could barely open my mouth. My wife rushed me to the ER and I was given medication both oral and topical and sent home. The ER O.D. Physician refered me to a skin specialist that morning. Now the skin specialist I visited stated that the 48 hour patch test is by no means fail safe. He further stated that in the 28 years that he has been practicing he has seen people suffer allergic reactions to hair dyes containing the chemical PPD 7 to 9 days after the intial exposure so either way your taking a real risk even trying this product. Finally after 4 weeks my face is completely healed , but there was one small up side to this whole situation. On the second week all the skin on my face that had been chemically burned from the dye sluffed and peeled off and the new skin underneath grew back smoother and younger looking and the scar I had across my chin was gone. I hope that gives all you guys an idea of how this stuff can burn. The doctor laughed and said look at it this way , some people pay big $$$$ for a professional chemical face peel , you did it to your self for $6.75 UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !

I like it very much. It remains a long time on my hair and my hair looks shiny every day until the next application of Just For Men Hair Color Shampoo. Another thing I like is that lastīs from 27 days to almost a month. No signs of allergy on me, but just in case, is a good idea to shampoo your hair after applying it. It is better to apply shampoo also after using Just for men, because of some remains on your hair and that might stain your towels (When you are taking a shower). Thatīs the reason why I recomend washing your hair afterwards. Enjoy looking younger like me. I donīt believe when someone says I look five or maybe four years younger?

Applied as directed and a day later my entire scalp is an oozing blistering and very painful mess. Even one of my ears is swelling and red. Do not use this product, it feels like battery acid on my head.

I've used this product 4 times now with no problems. It colors thoroughly and everywhere I put it. My goatee was getting some grey in it, and it was looking scraggly. After using this product just one time, the goatee is nice and dark, looks a LOT thicker, and has a much better appearance. I've had many compliments on it since using the product. Just follow the instructions, like anybody with any brains would do, and you shouldn't have any problems!! I read a review where someone thought it was scary that it can cause blindness...DUH!!! It contains strong chemicals to color the hair; what do you think would happen if you got it in your eyes? You shouldn't have any coloring agent near your eyes anyway!!! Great product with NO problems on this end!!!

I've used this product for over a year with no problems on sideburns and temple area. Now, it seems as though they've added acid to the new formulation!! They should switch back to the old. Charging a few extra pennies would be better than losing business altogether. Cannot believe product testing approved this abonination. Rashes, swelling, seeping blisters, unbelievable itching. Cortisone cream only partially relieves - see a doc for prednisone (steroid), and it will look better in a day and clear up in a few. STAY AWAY!

The new formula is not nearly as good as the original. The original formula would keep gray away for 10 days, while the new formula does not even last a week. Like other manufacturers, Just For Men found a way to cut the formula to increase profits. It is a shame because the original formula worked great. The new packaging looks good though.
Burned my skin

I used this product to color my mustache and it burnt my shin so bad I had to take a week off work because of my appearance. I am a salesman and couldn't go before my customers looking like I looked. If you want to try this product I'd dab a little behind your ear or something and leave it over night to see if you react to it.
