Itching and burning

I found that rubbing in a cream that I had on hand for jock itch immediately cleared up the itcing and burning caused by the Just For Men Gel. I know it sounds funny, but it works every time I experience any itching and burning

The results are amazing, and "Just for Men" is so simple to use. I could not believe it.
I feel as if I look 10 yrs younger, and I am being noticed by the ladies once again.
The best part about it, other than being so easy to apply, is how natural looking my moustache looks and feels.
You have a new customer for life.

Guys I truly understand what you are going through and this product pretty much ruined my life. It creates a dermititis on the skin that is hard to get rid of, and I pretty much spent a year trying to get rid of it, going to dermatologist and spending unnecessary money on medications.
If you are fortunate enough to catch it eary you are really in good shape. Do not rush off to the hospital if you are just suffering stinging and burning and a weeping rash with blisters.
I recommend that you purchase either calamine lotion or a steroid free anti-itch cream with calamine and Pramoxine HCI in the ingredients.
My face was in pretty terrible shape even after I long stopped using the product and after numerous trips to the dermatologist. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Calamine Lotion or Anti-Itch cream with calamine and Pramoxine will do the trick!

I used this product for years with no problems until about 6 months ago. I applied the product as instucted on the box and as I've done a million times before. After taking a shower and rinsing it off I started to itch. About an hour later I started to get two blisters on my chin. They broke open and yellow stuff came out. It took about 4 weeks for this to clear up but wanted to add that this product actually bleached my skin white and I know have to big white patches on my skin. Buyer beware!!!!!

first 2 or 3 times used product, went fine. next time itching started - didn't connect the two initially since had no probs first few times - actually thought got a mosquito bite - but one more time and i was through - still trying to get rid of the itch 4 days later. afraid to shave it off as skin's gonna look bad.

I have had the same problems as everyone else and in an attempt to relieve some of the pain I shaved my goatee. When I did some skin that was so sensitive red and oozing shaved off with the hairs. Months later and I still have a scar. I used it before they changed formulas and it was great. The allergy test showed no signs before this happened. Do not, under any circumtances use this product!!!

Hey same here ...I used this stuff for over ten years when I noticed I was starting to get all red and scratch like I've never scratched before ....I would wake out of a dead sleep scratching..One day at 3 in the morning I had enough I shaved off my goutee which I have had for 31 years what a sight that was. Then it was off to the clinic to get ointment to put on my sores and reduce my swelling finally after six weeks it subsided now I have a grey goutee will never use that product again..There should be a class action suit !
Just for men...yuck!

Just used JFM for my gotee and 24 hours later I look like the Stay-Puff man! Benadryl stopped the itching but the puffiness remains. Is there a class-action suit on the horizon?...sign me up!!! This product sucks...

I used the product without any problems for two years, then early this year I developed hives, facial discoloration and extreme itchiness from the product. Seems that a new version of the product is now being sold and my conditions are not unique as they have now also put a warning on the box. I would avoid this product at all costs.

I bought Just For Men Gel for facial hair and used all over my facial hair including that on my neck
I have never had problems in the past with the item, but this time I used it my face and neck became swollen, blistered, and
sore for 4 days with itching, and a burning sensation especially at night, which kept me awake.
It was so bad I had to go to a clinic and saw a qualified nurse
For 3 weeks my skin was very dry and scaly even after taking medical advice to apply aq. moisturiser regularly. In fact it
had the feel and texture of leather.

I have been using the product for 8 years and in the last few months it has caused very bad itching, burning and open sores. Will let it go grey rather then use the product again.

I have a lot of the same symptoms as others. I put this on my beard for 4 minutes and then washed it off in the shower. The next morning my face swelled like a ballon and I have oozing sores all over and intense itching. How can they sell this stuff? I have never had an allergic reaction before to anything on my face.

AS of this morning, I no longer have facial hair and I am sad. I can no longer deal with the side effects of JFM, the redness, itching and lately, the sores that take days to clear. I have used this product for over 10 years and was willing to deal with the old formula going bad after just a few applications. The "new and improved" did last much longer, but the results are something I can no longer deal with So long old friend, I will miss my beard but not the sores, itching and sleepless nights. Gee, I wonder what I can do with the extra $7.00 per week?

This is another "Just for Men" product I tried, once again this is strongly allergenic, so watch for strong itching for a few days after applying the product. A significant problem is that it is great at coloring skin, so apply it carefully and clean up any area where it has been applied to skin before it gets heavily stained. Sensitive skin? Then do not use this product or you will feel what an allergic reaction is like!

Used this on my mustache and now have some kind of burns and has been oozing for about 5 days now. I am not allergic to anything and I think this is a chemical burn rather than an allergic reaction. I did follow the instructions. I just wish I had read these reviews BEFORE I tried this terrible colored acid. Stay away, keep the gray.
The manufacturer is ripping us off...

The product works great for me (Dark Brown for beards and mustaches)...for about one third of the color tube! Once you get past the 1/3 point of the tube of product, there is a DISTINCT color change in the gel, going from a light (almost see through) brown color to a really dark brown or almost black color. The product works great and last several days, as long as you use the first 1/3 of the tube. The following darker colored product doesn't color well and may not last more than 24 hours, if it colors at all. We're being ripped off by the manufacturer. There are several consumer groups that may want to make an example of them. I'll be contacting as many of them as I can. Anyone else with same issue, I hope you'll do the same. Combe Incorporated...your customers are not idiots and you are showing us a tremendous amount of disrespect by not giving us what we pay good money for. No company is too big to be brought down when they do "bad business"...just ask MCI, Tyco, or AIG.

I've used GFM for around a month. At first, it was great. The color match my beard color and it lasted for a week. Progressively, I started getting a itching / burning on my beard. Now, after using the product around four times, the skin under my beard is cracked and bleeding. I get a yellowish liquid coming out of my chin. My body is telling me something - throw this crap away. I'll take the grey.

Like many other, I had used JFM for years, with no problems and good results. I recently decided to grow my beard again, which is now much grayer than the last time. My symptoms seem to be relatively mild, compared to some of the other posters here. My main complaint is the itchy, flaky upper lip. I had just read an article about the benefits of putting olive oil on the skin, so I thought I'd give it a try. It seems to be helping to heal my skin and give some relief from the itching. I had been using Neosporin ointment on it, but that didn't seem to help much. (I guess it would keep things from getting infected.)
What happen to this product.

Looks like they needed to do more animal testing before releasing this new batch of hair dye. Not the same product at all. Causes a rash at any place it touches. Need to find a new product.
