My face is a mass of weeping blisters and the itching is intense. My jaw and neck are noticeably swollen. I wish that I would have read the review of this product on www.folica.com website prior to my purchasing and using the product. How is this product - Just For Men Brush In Gel still manufactured is a mystery. Where's the FDA when you need them? Where are the litigants, because surely someone has sued these folks? Hey guys, I have read many of the posts on this site while trying to find relief from the reaction I had to this product. My personal experience was like a chemical burn with most of the symptoms that have been described by other men on this site. Open sores secreting an amber colored substance that scabs over, as well as redness and swelling and the sensation of constant burning and itching. I used JFM for about a month before I experienced any negative consequences, but when they started, it was quite miserable. I have an Identical twin brother who also uses JFM and he has had no negative reaction to the product, so who knows why it affects some men and not others? Oh well, not the point. My point and the reason Im am writing this is to say that there is a way to make it stop; at least it worked for me anyway. Hydrogen Peroxide. This is not my idea, I must give credit to Joeph C. Evangelista from New Jersey, it was his post on this site that lead me to try it and IT WORKS!! At least it did for me anyway. It is painful, but it only stings for a few minutes, however, after 24 hours and approximately 5 applications, my face is almost fully healed and the itching and burning is gone, as well as the sores. All I did was pour the Hydrogen Peroxide on a paper towel and press it to my face and neck until my beard was completely saturated, this stings and is very uncomfortable at first, however, within a few minutes the pain stops. Let it stay on for 5 minutes or so and then just wash your face gently with a warm soapy washcloth. I did this about 5 times in a 24-hour period and my face is back to normal again and I have a nice looking beard. I find it hard to give this product a completely negative rating because it does actually do what it says it will do (color your beard) and it does warn the user of potential allergic reaction but I wont be using the product again, its just not worth it to me but I hope this advice is helpful to someone else in this same situation. Also, if any of you has found an alternative to this product, I would be interested in your feedback on it since I can no longer use JFM and I and my wife still prefer the way my beard looks without all the gray in it, after all, I'm too young to look that old. Thanks and good luck - Jason Just For Men Brush-In Color Gel contain an ingredient called "Phenylenediamine". This ingredient is known to cause blisters, scars, etc. If you research this active ingredient, it clearly states it!! As to why JFM decided to put this in their product anyway is unknown. The bottom line is that is the issue. I really feel bad that you guys are experiencing this complication, but I do thank you for posting ur comments, because you prevented me from experiencing this. You guys should take legal action!!! i found this forum because I wanted to see if anyone else was suffering itching after using just for men. there's definiely something not right with it, never had a problem until recently, but now after use i get sever itching and redness anywhere the product has been in contact with. This is still going on with JFM? It's amazing no one has been successful in removing the products, or changing the chems used in it (PPD's) I assume, still). I was one of the many that got an infection from it that required doctor trip and anti-biotics. Read all 154 customer reviews ...
