Yep I am a guy. In this a new millennium I have read that only 1 out of 4 men color their hair and only 1 out of 20 will admit to coloring their hair to their friends or colleagues. I believe it is must be that lingering old fashioned guy thing in the USA that men must use a barbar and not a salon. If my wife can color her hair then so can I.
So anyway I have now used John Frieda Sheer Blond for 3 months. I am using the color renew tone restoring version of Sheer Blond that comes in a 9.3 ounce blond colored bottle. It does in fact leave your hair with a very very dry feeling after you use it. This is because it does such a good job of cleaning your hair it has removed all of the old grease out of your hair. You MUST use John Frieda Sheer Blond conditioner after the shampoo. The conditioner returns all of the required compounds back to your hair after using the shampoo. The conditioner works so well I can run a fine comb through my hair with no problems right out of the shower. It makes it very easy for me to blow style my hair very straight every day. After drying my hair is is extremely shiny and soft.
I like this product very much and plan to continue using it. I was a bit scared to try something new but it does work much better for my hair instead of the cheaper products I formerly used.

My 18 year old daughter used this on her hair. The next day her hands developed a rash, and they were swollen. Her scalp is also affected, and itching in her ears. It has been 4 days, and the rash is worse. I'm hoping that the cream and allegy tablets she got from the doctor help. She has really been suffering from this, and can't do anything with her hands at all. I am extremely upset by this, as the pain and itching in her hands has been so bad, she can do nothing but sit and cry.
Something like this should not even be on the market. I plan on contacting the company about this. I definately do not recommend this product to anyone, because your just playing Russian Roulette if you do. I will see if I can add pics of the rash later.

It's good for getting the green from chlorine out of your blonde hair, and it does make your hair a little blonder, but it also does tend to make my hair look and feel a little greasy. If you're planning on buying this product, I suggest you also buy some shampoo for oily hair, and use the two products together.

this shampoo moisturizes without build up. I've used sheer blonde moisturizing shampoo and conditioner since it originally came out. It's the only shampoo and conditioner that moisturizes, adds shine, doesn't build up, and detangles my waist-length hair. Every time I go to get my hair trimmed the stylist comments on how healthy my hair is. I only have this shampoo and conditioner to thank.

Ive been using the sheer blonde shampoo and conditioner for over a month now. My hair shines superbly. It stays soft for a while despited the oily feel. I love your products I only wish you had on oil free line of it.

I'm 16 and haev always had long very thick coarse pretty hair that's always getting compliments...But I also liek to dye my hair which can fry ti sometimes lol.Anyways for months I was using this product and noticed my hair was not nearly thick liek it use to.At 1st I thought it was my new perm but after seeing the complaints bout it Im sure it was this b/c I didnt get the perm till way later.I dont adivse using this product.There no hereditary gene for thin hair or losing it in my fam but this product does jus that.

I'm submitting this review for Kathy in Tennessee, who doesn't have Internet access. She said, she loved the results the shampoo gave her hair at first, but then after using it for two months, she realized that her hair was no longer down to her chest, but up to her shoulders in length! She also noticed how thin her hair had been getting! She finally realized that the shampoo was causing all this damage! She feels that John Frieda should at least try and make up for these damages by supplying her with hair extensions! Everyone should be alerted to the fact that you may gain the shine but lose your hair when using this product!!!

I used the shampoo and conditioner 1 time and i loved it. I came to your web site to purchase the shampoo and conditioner only to see that the conditioner is discontinued, BIG MISTAKE, BIG BIG MISTAKE.

This shampoo did absolutely nothing special for my hair. The color is the sames as always, and none of my natural highlights have been brought out. I am extremely disappointed with this product. My hair is softer using store-brand shampoos.

my daughter bought your products, when she used it , it burned her face,had bad allergic reaction, i also had the same thing happen to me,so i shall be writing to you personally regarding this,

I was raised using Pantene Pro-V, and it works/worked fabulously on my hair, always leaving it shiney, smooth, and healthy. I constantly got comments on my hair. People would come up to me and run their hands through my hair and say, "Oh! Your hair is sooo soft and silky! What do you use?" Then John Frieda came out with Sheer Blonde. I was extremely reluctant to use it at first, it sounded too good to be true, but it isn't! I luv Sheer Blonde because it made my hair even softer (which I thought was impossible) than Pantene and brought out highlights that I never knew existed, while at the same time infusing it with moisture. My hair has never looked better! Thank you Mr. Frieda!

about three weeks ago i dyed my hair and yes it when a tint of ginger. thanks to sheer blonde it is getting back to its oringinal colour thankyou so much !

I never noticed my hair could be so blonde, and for one it motivates me to keep washing it especially since it's extremely long. It is surprisingly almost tangle free. It doesn't lather which is a good indication of the low ammonium lauryl sulfate content. I'm alltoghether pleased.

I'm really disappointed that the Glistening Shampoo has been taken off the range as it is the only shampoo that suits my hair. I've tried the Sheer Blonde Moisture Infusting shampoo - but it's not rally good for my hair type at all and I won't be using it again. Please bring back the Thicker Cooler Hair Glistening Shampoo - it's the best in the world.

As a natural blonde who's color has faded in the last few years, I have been thrilled at how this shampoo has brought my hair back to life! And leaves it so soft, too!
