Disappointed..

I purchased the highlight shampoo and conditioner the day after having my hair highlighted. Both the shampoo and conditioner lathered way more than any other I have used. I thoroughly rinsed both out, and after drying, my hair felt heavy and oily. They were both quite pricey for non-salon shampoos at $10.00 each and I expected much more than they provided. I took them back immediately for a refund, and would not use this product again, nor recommend it.

Others have confirmed they too lost a lot of hair and had it break off after using John Frieda Sheer Blonde products. I went from having long hair to having short clumpy hair, thanks to the horrific damage this stuff did to my hair. Do not use John Frieda Sheer Blonde products!

I could never find a shampoo that cleaned my hair without over drying it. I borrowed someone's Sheer Blond and used it on my dark brown hair. It was perfect! So I bought my own. I plan on picking up swimming again so I started looking for a shampoo that removes chlorine and the Sheer Blond does that as well!
Tried it worked... HOWEVER...BEWARE

I have been getting blonde highlights over the past year, but they always get dull at about 3 weeks after I get them done. I have tried other brands of blonde shampoos, but I came across the John Frieda line at a sale and I tried it and was so pleasantly surprised. My highlights are back and bright again! It also make my hair feel great!

LOVE the way it made my hair feel. But, then I started using the glaze on top of the shampoo and conditioner and I started having more than average hair loss. It's up to you.

I have medium brown hair naturally, with blonde highlights. I liked Frieda's line of shampoo/conditioner for brunettes (adds shine, softness). I started using this shampoo once fall arrived, because I wanted to preserve my highlights.
I loved the shampoo from the first time I tried it! It makes my hair feel like silk. The conditioner is all right too. Still, I only really wash my hair 3 or 4 times a week... I don't want to overdry it or anything.
Two people (including my own mom) have now commented that my hair appears to be getting blonder. Which is cool... as long as it doesn't end up going platinum on me!
So far, AWESOME.
Not real impressed

I bought this to help fight off the yellow in my bleached hair. Worked as well as I expected for that... But the conditioner blows. My usual stick straight hair comes out a frizzy poof ball.
A must Buy!

I have had this product for a year and it never wears out. My hair was rough, dried out, and dull. Then I heard that Sheer Blonde has a line of great products so i tried it. THey DO! This Highlight Activating Shampoo saved my hair.
TIP: Use the the Dream Creme after you use his product.

"i have tried that shampoo for the first time and right away it gave me beautiful blonde highlights". I think this product is great for people who have blonde hair and want highlights in it.
I LOVE it

Haha! this is so awesome. I tried first with the honey to caramel because I thought that my hair was getting dull because of the dulling minerals in things like tap water. So I tried this, and after blow drying it, it was SUPER BLONDE. Then after using both that following with the conditioner that matches. I tried the Platinum to Champagne and its working really great too! BUY THIS.. John Frieda rocks! and thanks sally for helping make this product!

I liked this shampoo/conditioner and raved about it for the first couple of months that I used it... I then noticed that it was causing some hair loss, more than just the normal day to day hair loss that is to be expected (I'm only 20 years old, and nothing hereditary of the sort exists). In researching, I came across the fact, from numerous sources, that lauryl sulfates, like those in the Sheer Blonde line of products, actually can result in added hair loss. Try it if you like, it might not affect everybody but I became concerned about it so I just wanted to put it out there.
Great!

My mom came home with this thinking it was the moisture infusing shampoo but I was happy to know that there was a sheer blonde shampoo that removes chlorine. I usually use multiple shampoos when I wash my hair and it works great! It lathers less than the moisture one which makes me feel safe to use showing me that there is little ammonium.
