Im a surfer, so my hair is usually tossled and messy. Im not good at styling it when its straight so I think this product is really great for people who like that messy look or who arent the best at DIY hair styling. I bought about 8 bottles of it caust I heard its going to be discontinued.

I was so sad to find out this product was discontinued. I remember falling in love with it when I used it a little around 2 years ago.

I have corkscrew curls that are very hard to manage, especially during the summer months when the humidity increases my dryness and frizz factor. This product always controlled my thick, voluminous hair in the dryest weather. It always relaxed my hair just enough to prevent bunching up and giving me that poodle look, without taking away the natural beauty of my curls. After a few uses, I was surprised to find that this spray miraculously made my hair soft to the touch, even after all the abuse from my regular hair care routine. Despite it's name, Beach Blonde gave my jet black hair a lovely sheen, without making it look oily or dirty.

It's always a plus that it makes hair smell like sea salt and coconut. It was a soothing scent which made me feel very nostalgic about my time spent at the beach - year round.

The funny part is, I really don't think John Frieda had curly hair in mind when he designed this product. Whatever Frieda did, he sure came up with one heck of a genius product.

This would have to be the best product that i have used on my hair. I couldn't find it in the stores and i thought that it was just a summer time thing. Now that i know it is disscontinued i am very upset. I have recently tried to re-create the product with no such avail. Please bring it back..

I have used this product every since it came out. I use it along with john friedas blonde waves spay. I have long curly hair and it is the only thing that works...Please dont discontinue this.

I have tried every product for my naturally curly hair. This product is the only one I use to control frizz and make my hair soft. It smells like coconut and I get compliments on it. I am stocking up on this before it goes away.

I have extremeley thin straight hair, and just spraying this in and drying it didn't do much
I found it best to wash my hair the night before, spray the product in, and then make about 4 to five loose braids.
I go to bed, wake up, take the braids out and have great beachy waves.

I've tried MANY products that claim to tame frizz, or turn your hair into soft curls. Everything has left me disappointed...I mean everything...except for this product. It actually does 'tame the frizz' while leaving your hair extremely soft, smelling great and without making it look oily or unwashed. My only downside to this product is that now after using it for over a year and a half, I can't find it anywhere locally. Bring my product back to the shelves!!!

I'm a guy, and I have long, thin, blonde hair. My hair is always poofy and dry looking, but with the Ocean Waves it always looks just like I came off the beach, and smells like it also. This is the best product for hair I have ever used!

I bought this, hoping to recreate my summer hair, as I basically live down the shore. It smelled wonderful, just like the beach, but yet did nothing. It oddly did give my hair more shine, and it smelled lovely, but it didn't do what it said it would - give me tousled, messed up summer hair, even after I followed the directions completely!

I have natural curly hair. I straighten my hair just about everyday with a flat iron. I have been looking for a product that will make my hair wavy, not sticky and not frizzy especially during the summer months when it is humid and very hard to straighten hair. This product works great. Your hair really does turn out like you just stepped off the beach. It made my hair soft and wavy not frizzy. My curls are loose not tight. And it smells like a pina colada. I love it! And it is not only for blondes. I'm a brunette.

I loved the way the product smelled and on top of that it made my hair look really thick!!! I have like the thinnest hair ever and I hate it but this made it look really great with a little bit of wave thanks soooo much for making this!!! :D :D :D

This product is wonderful. I have very fine hair with absolutely no body...straight as a pin...I though this would weigh it down but just the opposite happened. It gave my hair body and wave. It also has a very fresh scent and makes my hair look sexy...go figure.

First things first, my hair is thick, dark, and slightly wavy. I've tried zillions of products on my hair to enhance the wave, but no one really sells "wave defining shampoos." The first time I tried this stuff, it actually seemed to smooth out my wave, so i was kind of dissapointed, but after about 5 minutes, voila! sexy beach hair! smells absolutely divine too! Yummy!

I love this stuff. Not sticky. Just right. Only got to use 1 bottle.

When went back to get more, WALMART has taken it off the shelves.
Called number on bottle - they said go to Walgreens and Publix. Called Walgreens - "people asking for it all summer - but have never had any in".
Called locater service again - they gave me "place to buy it from a distributor" - the distributor says - none in stock = call back - when we do have it it's $6.49".
Called Publix ..they had 2 bottles left...at $5.00!!!! (cheaper than the discount distributor!! how does that happen when Publix is usually $1 more than EVERYBODY?)
Call 1-800 number again on back of bottle and ask: "Are you SURE you haven't discontinued this product - NOBODY HAS IT!"
.......they don't know...... AND NOBODY knows how to get in touch with Mr. Frieda......so I guess it's a wash.

It WAS a good product......too bad the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing at Frieda - and too bad they are relying on outsourced ways to get their product out there. oh well.

Fantastic stuff - if only one could find it to buy.

Its selling on ebay in GB for as much as £12, as its now
impossible to find.

Well, THAT explains it! I went searching for this stuff all weekend long (I'm getting low on my current bottle) and then I find out that it's discontinued! Why would they do that?! Anyway, I'm just glad I found this website and could order it just in the nick of time. I've used this product for years, then put it away to move on to something else. Thank goodness I kept the stuff (you never know when it may come in handy again). It really makes for a lot of good hair days. Please bring it back to the shelves!!!

and figured it was discontinued. Decided to search the web and found this sight...Thank God! Just got my hair cut short again and NEED this product. Holds style without being stiff or sticky. I also love Funcky Chunky to spike the ends with and I found out THAT is also discontinued so bought both today. My father is a hair stylist who owns his own shops so I can get any professional product for free, yet choose to pay for these.

I seriously swear by this stuff. I have naturally wavy/curly hair, yet I can straighten it if I want to, and this stuff works perfectly on my hair. I spritz a little on, and I never have to mess with it afterwards. It leaves a great smell on my hair, that all my girl friends love! One of my friends even went out and bought it because she thought it smelt so good! The look is great, my boyfriend loves it and so do I! I couldn't find it in stores, so I found it here at Folica! I was thrilled! Buy this stuff- you'll love it!

I used to use this a long time ago and stopped when I cut my hair short, now its long again and I found the old bottle in my closet. It worked great for controling frizz on my wavy hair. I went to the store to pick up another bottle and they didn't have it anymore. I came home and am so thankful to have found this website. I ordered three bottles in case I can't find it again. I wish they still sold it in stores!!! I am also a hairstylist and feel guilty endorsing a non-professional product but I just love it!!!

I've been using Ocean Waves for a little over a year now and absolutely LOVED it!!! I have straight hair and have used numberous products to get my hair wavy/curly and I was soooooo happy to have found and tried Ocean Waves, BUT recently I realized they have discontinued this product ... WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS??????????? Please bring it back to the shelves if you can ... I've even tried the more expensive brand curling solutions but nothing works like ocean waves ..... so i was pretty disappointed when I couldnt find it and I hope this doesnt mean that eventually it will not be made anymore but in the mean time, I'm glad I found it somewhere!!!!

Even though I have very dark brown hair, I decided to check this out after a friend recommended it. I have long, wavy and often frizzy hair in the summer especially, and this stuff gives me great waves. It is also great for dry hair, because it is a little oily, but not greasy. The coconut scent is also very refreshing. I always use this after washing and it helps my scalp from getting irritated and dry. A must have!

I'm so disappointed to find that this product has been discontinued. Im a low maintenance long wavy brunette and this is the ONLY styling product that i use if any. I was just getting comfortable with others identifying me with the breazy laid back scent. Im a daily beach goer and feel as though a key factor in my personal style has been stripped. We need it back on the shelves!!!!! What's a curl to do?????!!!!!

I am so sad also to hear it is discontinued. I was looking for it and couldn't find it. My hair is shoulder length, slightly layered and that "not curly but not straight" natural style. This product is perfect to spritz on my wet hair and go... leaves natural looking waves. Bring it back!
