Loud humming

I was also hoping for a great product, but instead wound up with a mirror with a very loud hum. I did find a Conair tri-panel lighted mirror that did not hum at Kmart. This mirror will have to go back because of the humming.

I would highly recommend this over the others out there. It is very easy to use, and the various types of "lighting" that the mirror reproduces is excellent (day, night, office, home).
You will NOT be dissapointed if you purchase this item!!

If you are looking for a replacement for your old Clairol this is a great choice. It offers everything your Clairol had with even more magnification. You won't be disappointed.

My Remington makeup mirror with fluroscent lighting finally gave out. I cannot see myself in the new oval mirrors with halo lighting so went online to try to duplicate what I had. Based on reviews on Amazon, I felt the Jilbere would be superior; however, it was out-of-stock. I ordered the Jerdon for the time being and kept the backorder for the Jilbere, as I thought the latter would be superior. I much prefer the Jerdon and could not really tell the difference for the price. However, the Jilbere made a buzzing noise, and the mirror does not swivel around 360 degrees, which I need. I am very happy with the Jerdon and cannot recommed Jilbere.
I wished it would have worked out.

Little did I know how difficult it was going to be to replace my old Remington True To Light make-up mirror of 20+ years. I purchased the Jilbere de Paris Tri Panel Lighted Mirror after reading the excellent reviews. When I plugged in my mirror it made a humming or buzzing sound that would not let up. It was very annoying and too loud to deal with. Maybe my mirror was defective, I don't know, but I was forced to ship it back. The company has excellent customer service and promptly refunded my money. I really wanted this mirror to work out, but unfortunately, that didn't happen. I was pretty satisfied with the lighting, however it was not as bright as my old Remington, but very close. I would have happily kept it if it weren't for the humming.

This review is for any other women out there looking for that good ol' Clairol True to Light mirrors we used to use. I'm 40 years old, and the 2nd Clairol mirror that I ever owned (since jr. high) finally died! I went to many stores seeking a replacement, only to find that you can't get the same Clairol mirror anymore. I ended up with a Conair oval mirror w/ lights, used it once, and took it back. The bathroom lighting worked better than that! When we lost power last year, my candles gave off more light! Anyway, I came home and searched online and found this Jilbere mirror. I read that someone else was very satisfied, so I gave it a shot. So far I am very pleased. It's the closest thing to the Clairol that you're going to get. the construction quality and the lighting is exactly the same as the Clairol. So, stop the hunt and frustration....this is your mirror! I just hope I can find this one again when the time comes that I need another one!

This is a pretty good mirror, but it would be better if the side mirrors magnified, too. I realize there are probably no mirrors which do such a thing, but it would be an improvement. The lighting is very bright. Not bad.

I bought this mirror for my soon-to-be-teenage daughter as a gift for Christmas. I wanted to get her a decent mirror but not spend an large sum of money. I didn't want to get her something too flimsy either. For the price this mirror is very well worth it. The lights are are bright and you can change shades (daylight office home or night), you can see your profile in the side mirrors, you can set the standing angle of the mirror to many different levels and the main mirror rotates for large and normal viewing. It is the perfect little vanity for her and I find that I use it very often myself. My daughter loves this mirror and it has really helped her since she has started to wear makeup. The perfect gift!

For mascara application, I really want a mirror that you can tilt back. You CAN tilt this one back, you just have to move the whole mirror to do it. If the mirror rotated by flipping up and down instead of around, this would be the most perfect mirror in the world!

I love this mirror. It was very hard finding a makeup mirror with flourescent lighting as most are made with very low wattage bulbs now making it dificult to see anything. This mirror has plenty of light to illuminate your whole face, and also has a reg viewing side, plus a great maginfying side.

This is a terrific make-up mirror, especially with the different lighting settings.
Although I love Tri-Panel-Mirror I have one caution for anyone over 50. The 5X mirror shows every pore (or in my case canyon) on your face. So take a deep breath, close your eyes, and then turn the mirror over. Then, if you have the courage open your eyes.

This is an excellent 3-way lighted mirror. I have bad fluorescent lighting in my house and could never get my makeup on so that it would still look right once I left the house, but this mirror has solved that problem. And the 3 panels also give me a much better view of how I really look.
