My Clairol True to Light Mirror went kaput after 15+ years and I was sorely disappointed to find they no longer made it. I tried purchasing three other mirrors but the lighting was too low...frustrating. The Jilbere light is great!! It offers the same light settings as the old Clairol version and has the benefit of the side mirrors. I have not noticed any buzzing noise at all. I enthusiastically encourage others to try the Jilbere light if you're looking for something similar to the old Clairol model-- this one's a keeper!

Almost perfect mirror except the side of panel board that need adjusting (hold) otherwise the light and mirror are excellent for my face. I love it !

The mirror is great. It doesn't make noise and it is bright enough to see, what more can you ask for.It is perfect, better than the ones you get in stores that light all around.

It took longer than I expected for delivery, but I do enjoy this mirror. As most everyone else, I find it true to natural lighting and am satisfied with it's function. The best replacement I could find for the Clairol mirror I had that died, maybe better.

after buying lighted mirrors with very poor lighting that cost twice as much and died quickly, it was a pleasure to find one that really works.
Let's hope they don't discontinue this.

After looking everywhere for a true lighted mirror, I have found the perfect one. The illuminated mirrors do not put enough light onto the face to even put on makeup. The Jilbere de Paris gives me the proper lighting for everything from applying makeup to styling my hair in all
lighting situations. This is a quality product.
Good replacement for old Clairol

Like many others, I had one of the old Clairol lighted mirrors forever -- probably 20 years or more! When it was finally beyond repair, I bought this one as a replacement. I don't care for the side mirrors and I don't think it is quite as bright as the Clairol, but it is better than anything else that I have found. I think that the magnification is the same as the Clairol, but given my 40-something eyes, I wish it had a higher magnification level. All that said, this is the best replacement I have found and I hope it lasts as long as my faithful Clairol.

I have owned Clairol make-up mirrors since about 1970 and have been looking for a replacement for several months until I found this one. It's better than the Clairol. Lights up quick and lots of mirror! Great mirror. Worth every penny.
Large and Bright

This rectangular lighted mirror is much better than the round ones, very bright with different light types. Having such a large surface is crucial to not bobbing my head around to see every part of my face. I bought it on other recommendations, then also bought the round Conaire to compare, and returned the Conaire. The light is much brighter on this one.

EVERYTHING WORKS GREAT. GOOD MOOD LITEING. AN ELECTRICAL OUTLET BUILT INTO THE UNIT WOULD BE A GREAT PLACE TO PLUG IN ONE'S HAIR DRYER. OVERALL SIZE OF THE MIRROR COULD BE LARGER. GOOD QUALITY.

I fully agree with other reviewers who recommend this mirror to users of the old Clairol lighted mirror. I do not care for the side mirrors, but still rate this product as excellent.

I am thrilled with this mirror. The adjustable back stand makes it so easy set it at the right angle for easy viewing. Swivel 5x and regular magnification is great and so easy to use. You will not be disappointed with this one!

I really love this mirror! I am in my early 50's at a point where my eyes aren't as good at seeing up close anymore. I can see in the 5X magnified side to pluck my brows again. Now between waxes I can pluck the strays without a problem. that makes me feel alot better.
This mirror is very clear and bright lighting make it so much eaiser to apply mascara and eye shadow.
I have owned a Clariol and Conair this mirror is superior to either one of them in my opinion.
I just wish there was a way to get new bulbs for it instead of having to send the mirror back. I shouldn't be worried about that yet but, I would hate to have to do without this mirror for one day.

This was a good replacement option for my Clairol lighted mirror. I hope it lasts as long as that did. I just wish it had an outlet. It turns on a lot more easily than my
Clairol did. Folica did a great job packing it, too!

after my old Clairol lighted mirror finally broke I was on the hunt for a new one. Not able to find another Clairol mirror I tried several other brands only to return them all because of poor lighting. They all cast a yellow light which is poor for applying make-up. Thank goodness I came across this mirror. The lighting is perfect. I am more than pleased. This is the only one I found that gives perfect lighting for applying make-up.
The best choice!

After having the Conair mirror for some time and being very unhappy with the inadequate lighting I ordered this mirror instead and am very pleased. The lighting is great and I've had no problems with it whatsoever.

I too had an old Clairol with the fluorescent bulbs, if you’re looking for a comparable replacement this is definitely it. I was beginning to panic when I realized there were no stores that carried similar products. Thank God for the internet.
p.s., mine is as quiet as a mouse.

I searched for many months to find a tri-panel lighted mirror. They all made me look like I was in a fun house. This is the first one I've found that gives a true image with no distortion. The different light settings are also good. I only wish it was a 3X magnification, but I'll make do. It was well worth it.
