Perfect colors and last a long time

When you get it, you can tell it's good stuff. Thigns like Manic Panic or Stellar! are very water based and weak. When you open Punky,...you can smell it. It's that potent. It sets in for 30 minutes, but I usually leave it in for longer to get a really full rich color. It's gorgeous. After about two weeks, it started fading, but the color it is now, a really pretty like Cancun-ocean-blue looks really good too! Plus, all I color is the tips of my bangs(it's really nifty, so don't knock it until you've seen it,...it looks really cute on me) so it'll last a long time. It works better if you bleach the area first.

I ordered two of the colors. First I would like to say the colors are fabulous. Unfortunately, my daughter only had 3 washes and it has faded terribly. I thought it was supposed to last 5 - 40 washes.

I've been using Plum for over four years now, and I haven't found a vivid purple anywhere on the market that comes close to rivaling it. It bleeds purple for a while, like the other reviews say, but after a few thorough washes the color settles and there shouldn't be anymore running. If there is, then soap, water and a bit of scrubbing should fix most problems.
If you use Punky products over a long period of time, the hair color begins acting more like a permanent and less like a semi. Even bleach couldn't get the purple out of my hair! Five stars and heartfelt thanks, this product is definitely worth buying.

Ive been coloring my hair for a couple of years and would only use manic panic until I found Punky Hair Color. I absolutely love it. The only down fall is that every time your take a shower or your hair gets wet it tends to leak a little but other than that the color stays in your hair longer than the other products ive used. Instead of having to dye my hair once a week ive been doing it once a month a big difference.
JR FTW!

I swear by this product, point blankly. I've used many hair dyes in my day, but nothing is as vibrant as Jerome Russell... Its bright, and neon, and even if you didn't bleach it would probably show up on even the blackest hair.
punky color is awesome!!!

I chose this midnight blue hair dye specifically because of its claimed "metallic" blue color. I was hoping to get a dark blue that might look black from far away, but blueish in the right light. But I just got black hair; it doesn't look blue at all. I could have gotten a black dye for much less if I had wanted that.
Amazing stuff.

I was first introduced to Punky hair dye by a friend in school. I asked her if it ok to do the same color. She agreed and even gave me her leftovers to do my hair. It was the best dye experience I ever had. I used the color of Atlantic Blue. Don't be fooled by it's appearance it's beautiful! My words of advice when working with this product is cover everything!!! even when you sleep. if you own expensive sheets or something a hair wrap of some kind may be desired. Also when washing hair out,.. before stepping in the shower rub your hands over in baby oil also bend over front ways to wash your hair to prevent splatter and dying your back silly colors. I speak form experience.
Definitely turns your hair pink as well as everywhere else

I recently used this product. I even used petroleum jelly to prevent staining on my skin. Even after a few washes my whole body ended up pink from taking a shower and it running out of my hair. It takes days to get the color off of your skin. Will definitely color your hair pink though.

I tried Punky Color in Purple and LOVED it. I first had large streaks bleached and the rest dyed a shade lighter than my natural dark brown. The Purple was a very vibrant fuschia/purple in the bleached areas and created a subtle purplish-tint on the darker hair. The brighter highlights lasted a LONG time, remaining fuschia/purple for well over a month and slowly fading to a pinkish-lavendar which stayed until I dyed over it 4 months later!

I have been dying my hair vivid colors for over 20 years and this is by far the best product I have ever used. I used maic panic for most of that time only to be frustrated because not only did the color fade quickly (if it even took at all) but you have to apply most of the jar to get even coverage. Punky color takes very little dye and it stays in your hair for a very long time, granted it will fade with each wash, but the color is always very vivd. I only go throug one jar every few months. I highly recommend this product.
the best hair coloring product

i've been using punky to dye my dreads (after bleaching of course) for three years now. every color i've used has lasted for months, remaining vibrant and visible. when it fades, it tends to still not look that bad.
also, it's a thicker product that allows for easier application without dripping every where- a good thing if you do your hair yourself.

I bought the Violet and used it on dark brown hair because I just wanted a hint of color. It showed up ok but was way too messy and stained for weeks.

I've been using Punky Plum hair dye to dye my hair for over five years now. I've tried Special Effects and Manic Panic--the first came off on everything, the second had absolutely no staying power. Punky gives a wonderful rich color, conditions that tortured bleached hair, and stays in your hair instead of smearing all over your pillow for weeks. I'd highly recommend it to anybody wanting bright, beautiful hair in less common colors.
Love this product!!!!!!!!!

I've used Punky Colors on my niece's hair for over a year now. She's 13 and I refuse to use bleach on her long one length hair - yet she loves the goth, punk, rock look. I found this dye one day and thought I would try it since nothing else seemed to show up on her dark brown hair. Well, the Red Wine color looks absolutely beautiful - without using bleach. I put it on her hair and let it sit for about 2 hours. After dried, it comes out a beautiful shade of burgundy red with a mild hint of a purple-ish shade. I know sounds like a funny description, but it looks gorgeous and she gets rave reviews from her classmates. Without a doubt - worth it. I've tried special effects (doen't really show on her), Fudge, Manic Panic, and many others. This one is the only one that shows - AND lasts. The Red Wine fades beautifully an the only reason I need to redo it is because she starts showing roots. Remember, I don't use bleach on her hair so the shades that show on her are limited. But her hair is actually in better condition than before I started using these dyes. They condition the heck out of her hair and the smell, WOW, even her classmates wonder what that berry smell is days after dying her hair. Definitely worth it!!!!!

Lasts a lot longer compared to Manic Panic Hair Creams. Smells nice while dying, colours are bright and fade out bright.

When I've used other semi-permanent coloring products in the past, they've tended to start fading in as little as 1-2 weeks. I colored my hair over 3 weeks ago and the Punky Color has yet to start fading.
After bleaching my hair, I mix half a jar of rubine with half a jar of ebony and get a really nice dark burgundy with fuschia and purple highlights. I keep the color on for 3-4 hours or longer (wearing a cap the entire time). I also mix a little conditioner/reconstructor into the color to help counteract the damaging/frying effects of the bleach.
After trying so many other semi-permanent coloring products, I'm going to stay with Punky Color.
Works Great!

I bleached my hair then use this to color my hair (blue/black) as it suggested on the label. I had no problem with it, my hair turned navy blue which I really loved. The only thing I regret was bleaching my hair first. Dark color dyes should be used on dark hair or on a non contrasting color. After a while in the sun and washing, the blue/black started to fade, letting my bleached bright yellow hair cstart to appear, which showed as the color green =|. The product will last a month or two. I recommend it.
