Use a black box kit from the local grocery store (Herbal Essence worked best for me, back in the day) and dye the top section of your hair. (Yes, even the tips!) Later on, once you've washed out all the remaining dye and you rinse clear get a blue you fancy and do the bottom layer, that you DIDN'T dye black. Go to your hair dresser and get a snazzy layer job so the blue shows through. Wham, Bam, Thank You Madisin!

Yeah, w/e floats ur boat, sounds cool to me. just dye ur hair black & then put blonde highlights on the bottom (tips). Now, the blue will appear to be brighter. or, just add the lagoon right after w/out highlighting the tips.. although, it the ble wouldn't look as striking.

dye green w/o bleach
Hi, I'm interested in dyeing the front tips of my hair (have sort of darkish brown hair) with a green dye. I don't want to BLEACH or kill my hair. I don't care if it's not as vibrant as it could be, I was just looking for some kind of tint. Is there a product someone can recommend, or will this dye work for me? How long would it last if I put it in without bleach? Will the color start to bleed everywhere after I take a shower? Just looking for an easy and safe way to do this, please help me out.

Oh, just bleach it! We've all done it... one time isn't going to kill you! In all seriousness, though, try the N'Rage two-in-one sets. It only comes in pink, red, purple, and blue so it won't cater to your craving for green, but it does lighten the hair to achieve the most vibrant result possible and all in one clean, easy process. No dead hair, split ends, or hours scrubbing your bathtub. If you DO decide to use a bleach, try Born Blonde from Clairol. It's quick and easy, and you can pick it up at the grocery store for a cool $9 while your mum loads up the cart with veggies. It's a great formula that lightens your hair without frying our damaging, and leaves it ready for any Punky Colour (or Manic Panic, SFX, etc.)

How to remove it quickly?
How else can I get my pink/purple bangs to fade/wash out faster? I want to do them a different color. I've been shampooing it everyday and using hot water. What else can I do?I don't want to bleach it again...

use a clarifing shampoo - or dawn dishsoap instead of shampoo. If you started with bleached hair it will probably never fade entirely, but will fade to a point that you should be able to color over it without any negative effects

It would be difficult for you to find a hair product with funky colors that WILL work well on hair that isn't bleached.

Bleaching...
Is there any possible way that bleaching can't work on someone's hair? I've tried to dye my hair blonde before, I've tried soaking a snip of my hair in a cupful of bleach [to test how it would work on my head] and every time I've done so, it doesn't really make a noticeable difference in coloring. It'll be maybe a shade lighter, but not a big difference like, say, Eminem's bleach [as an example].I'm planning on cutting my long hair into a mohawk and dying the mohawk purple soon and would like as much info as I can get on care and whatnot. If you could, please respond in an email as I probably won't come back very often until I'm ready to purchase my hair dye. Thanks.PS - And as an opinion, which purple works best? I'm going for something that'll stand out, but not seem girly.

hmm... as far as bleaching you could leave it in longer and see what happens. but for color I recommend the plum, its a darker purple but it really stands out without being too girly. ps when your done leave a pic in the customer reviews I wanna see how it turns out!

It sounds like you are trying to use a bleach like Clorox or something. Try one of the packages, Manic Panic makes one and I think another is made by Beyond the Zone. (dont confuse these products with a bleach blonde dye). These make a bleach paste that you can leave in your hair until it is the shade you want. I had a 6 inch mohawk last year and I used Special Effects Atomic Pink and with the bleach it lasted for months. As for the purple, I dont know and I havent used this product before but I plan on trying it next as I have heard it may last longer. Hope this helps.

If you're using kitchen bleach, thats bad. You're only supposed to use hair bleach on your hair. I'd say go to a salon, or get a bleaching kit from CVS or Walgreens. Salons really know what they're doing, so I suggest going to one. Good luck.

My sister wants to put blueish streaks in her hair and she doesn't care if they last a long time. She has naturally blonde hair that is really light. How would I go about streaking just strands of her hair all over her head and is this product ok to use?

this product is great to use. if her hair is light then just get one of those caps and space it out a bit to streak. I guarantee it will be the best product you will ever use.

No, you don't have to bleach again. You removed all the color from your hair the first time you bleached, so just dye it again without bleaching. You may need to bleach your roots if they are growing in, though.

The only reason to bleach again is to fix those pesky roots, which after three months MIGHT be an issue for you... remember, over-processed hair doesn't take color well so only bleach when it's necessary!
