Brown to... ORANGE?!?!?!?!
I was thinking of using the punky color poppy red. And I have dark chesnut brown hair. So will I need to bleach it first? And if I do end up using the Jerome Russell's Punky Bleach Kit will it turn my hair like an orange/ pink color? Cause when the red dies out I want the hair to be blonde in that area.

How do I use this stuff?
Has anyone used this before that can tell me how it shows up on jet-black hair? Will I need to do it over several sessions?I have pondered dying parts of my hair blue for quite a while now, and I finally think that this summer I will pick up the courage to do so. :D I'm going with the punky blue black and hoping for a striking, bold, bright, but dark-ish blue. This is definitely my first time dying my hair, partly because I basically have jet-black hair and I do a lot to it, namely chlorine from the pool 6 days a week, and am not looking for a brittle, dry look no matter how much I will enjoy the color. It being my first time, I don't mind it fading or being faint or whatever, but I realize that I will need to bleach if I want it to show up AT ALL (right?) I need advice bleaching beforehand...what to use (would this product, the punky bleaching kit, work?) and how to avoid that gross bleached-red/pink...HELP!should I go for it?

I had dark hair when I first bleached my hair, and it had to be double-processed. I know this is going to sound crazy BUT.. to do the least damage to your hair (AND make sure you get the best results), I recommend going to a salon and asking them if they could do a double-process for you. It WILL take a few hours, and cost a bit of money, but it's much better than getting horrible results at home. With such dark hair you will more than likely need to double-process. Hope this helps!
