If your lashes are clumpy, white, or dusty, then you likely didn't follow instructions. (They appear here on the product page.) As directed, it's a thin coat of mascara, then Fast Lash, then mascara again to cover and bond to the 'white dust'. Follow with a lash comb (use a light touch) to even it out. Use it mainly on the outer corners of the eyes for a more natural look than if you added volume all the way across. Basically, this is a thickener - like the old cornstarch trick but much easier, cleaner, and more uniform. It may take a few applications to get the hang of the best method and look for you.

This product is the next best thing to Novalashes, falsies, and lash extensions. It has a better quality than Fiberwig, which is a mascara with the fibers already in the product.
If you can read simple English, and follow simple directions, then you can use this product. Reviews and information on the internet clearly state that this product is made up of tiny fibers, to pull the wand out slowly over a sink or paper towel, and to coat with mascara. If you can't follow simple directions, then you will hate this product. Stick to using Cover Girl and other drugstore make-up that a five year old can apply.

I had read the reviews here before I bought this so I was prepared to practice putting Fast Lash on - surprise surprise - I had no trouble with it at all - I did use my finger tip to apply it instead of the wand but it works great - I sometimes even put on a 2nd helping of the Fast Lash with with a 3rd coat of mascara for really long lashes - I have very sensitive eyes and this product did not bother me at all - no itching, burning, watering nothing
I think I will probably use this for life and there is so much in the tube I don't hink I'll be needing more anytime soon

I was scared to use this product cause it looks like a mascara tube full of dust. I couldn't really tell the difference with my ordinary mascara, except this product made my lashes look white and dusty. I had to go over it with black mascara to look normal.

I bought the fast lash and it goes on clump let's face it make is not natural looking it never is no matter how good of a brand you buy. And my guess is that men don't care and I keep getting compliments after using this product. I've never met a mascara that didn't go on clumpy. All of them do anyway. Even if you are an expert and buy the best, best formula and believe me I've bought every brand in the book and none of them do any better than this one.
I can still tell when someone has on any kind of mascara and there are always clumps. My eye lashes are thick and volumonous naturally but now they are way out there long, long. My eyelashes are dark dark black naturally with a nice curl. I don't have to wear eye liner I just put this on with a hint of golden eyeshadow and I get a ton of compliments. Most THis is clumpy like all the others including maybelline which claims that they are not clumpy. Unless you are Bobbie BRown himself your mascara is going to show especially if you half course thick curly eyelashes. Over all I like the product the fluff formula could be improved so that most of us who want quick lashes don't have to practice until the tube runs out. My complaint is that I paid too much at Alcone make up 25. It's not worth that much. 12 is about right for now on I'm buying it from this dealer.

This product does seem to make your lashes thicker. However, it doesn't do much for the length of the lashes. Also, if you brush through your lashes too much so as to remove clumps, you pretty much remove the product and your lashes will look the same as with regular mascara.
If you don't mind leaving your lashes a little clumpy, this product will make your lashes look a bit thicker.

I recently purchased Japonesque Fast Lash and read some of the other reviews and advice before I purchased. I think this is key to whether you love the product or hate it. I LOVED IT!! I've worn makeup up for *** years (too many to remember) so am pretty efficient in application, I wear it every day. Maybe this is why I found application very easy. I agree with some of the other reviewers who say they apply the product with their fingers or with a eyeshadow applicator. I've never took the whole wand out of the casing when applying and this will stop the product from going everywhere and losing vital fibre. I was expecting it to be more difficult as many people had stated this to be the case. All I can say is, for those of you who bought the product and are unhappy, you may have to practice and try different methods of application. The results for me are worth it, but then Ive found it quite easy. You only need a small amount, so I think this will probably last for ages and it won't dry out as its very dry (and meant to be) already. Good luck at further attempts.

This product is pretty good, just a bit messy. But it does work, you just have to get the hang of it. It did make my lashes fuller.

Fast lash is the ONLY product that actually makes my lashes full and thick, i have tried everything to make my thin, straight lashes look thick and long, and none of the mascaras can even compare to this.....it can be tricky but if done correctly, the results are simply AMAZING... I love it!

I must say you definitely need to practice with this product. I can say that you CANNOT take out the entire tube because it will fly out everywhere. Need to just slide the wand out enough as to be able to pick up the particles. I have found that dusting more on the top part of your lashes works. You need to use a small fluff eyeshadow brush to pick it up and just place them on lashes, concentrating on the tips. Here less is better, start off using a little amount and can add more if neeeded. If you practice I think you will really get to appreciate this product. Good luck!

My lashes are lengthened by the product. Just follow the directions and as you practice you'll get the hang of it. I compare the product to blowing a dandelion, so it's tricky and does fly everywhere. There is a lot of clumping and "spider legs", but an eyelash brush helps that. If you can stay still and have talent with a mascara wand then I'd say this is for you.

It takes practice. Do one eye at a time and you may need to comb out a bit but I did one eye in a high line XL mascara and the other in regular mascara and Fast lash. Huge differance, fast lash is a great addition!

My lashes definitely looked fuller and longer. I put product on my finger and then touched to my eyelashes. Only downside is it looks kindof clumpy. Overall I'm happy with the results!

No matter what mascara I used, it dried to fast to put on this stuff. I just had white stuff hanging from my lashes and needed to remove the mascara and start over. Maybe I just need more practice?

This product is awful!!!! I thought it was going to be a gel based. It's kind of like a powder and it gets in your eyes and feels like you have a billion eyelashes in your eyes! And you can't even see them because they're clear!! UGH!! Don't buy this product!! You'll just get upset!

Too much trouble and mess,results not worth it. Not that much of a "dramatic" effect. Not worths the $14.00 dollars. Better use voluminizing mascara, and get the same result for less $$.

My mother has extremely short eyelashes and this is the only product so far (of the many she has tried) that actually makes her look like she HAS eyelashes. We're about ready to order some more. Even on me, who has fairly decent length lashes, I could see the difference.
